I will go with Denver...regardless of where he goes, he will be a rent a player for the rest of his career. He will never get that long term big $ contract he wanted.

conflicting reports. One said they will deactivate him for the rest of the year. Meaning he gets the Keyshawn treatment and doesnt play this year, anywhere.

Another says they will release him, meaning someone can sign and pay him but they will need to pick up the remaining part of his salary, something like 2.5 mill.

I hope he is given the Keyshawn treatment.
With the cap space they have, why release him and give a team a shot that they could be competing for a playoff spot with?

What about that basketball player who shot his limo driver? Don't remember his name, but man, after hearing the story, you have to hate that guy.I really don't think you can compare TO's antics to serious stuff like that.Edit to add: His name is Jayson Williams. I don't even think he served time, but unlike with OJ, there is NO doubt that he killed the guy.

The owner offered me Reggie Brown, Lelie and Gore for TO and Warner like a day and a half ago...was considering it before todays news. I saw that he was most likely done for the year and it basically made the trade a no brainer. The news was out at about 3 today, and I accepted at around 6...Our league also has a feature that shows when the owner last logged on, and it showed that the guy offering me the deal had logged on today, not sure what time though.Basically the guy had 3 hours to cancel the trade...and it wasn't really anything significant, and at the time he offered TO was suspended indefinetely, so there was an obvious risk even though he wasn't giving up much in the first place.. Obviously you can tell that I think it was fair game, considering he had 3 hours, but i'm curious what you guys think. Maybe I'm in the wrong here. Nevertheless I made a deal a couple weeks ago to get TO for my third and final flex spot and gave most of my depth to do it (awfulllll move). Was accepting it unethical, or was it fair game?

It may be fair game, but I don't think I'd have done it... and I guarantee you'll get your fair share of harrassment over it.

Philly has suspended him for 4 games, last night being the 1st (without pay). After the 4 games are up, Eagles will pay him to stay at home (Keshawn Treatment) for rest of season). NFLPA has files for a emergency arbitration hearing that must be heard within 7 days to try to recoupe the 4 weeks of lost pay. Maybe TO and Latrell Spreewell can carpool, clip coupons, etc to make ends meet.

Are you (fb)guys kidding me that voted for Atlanta?

Having to depend on Vick to get the ball to him might just put T.O. over the ledge he's already on.

That's like signing Manny and giving him the bunt signal.

Another question. What would be the cap implications of the following:

What if you sign T.O. to an incentive contract that pays him game by game only? Therefore, the team is ONLY on the hook, cap-wise, for the good times.

Funny thing is --> T.O. and Rosenhaus have screwed both themselves out of millions of dollars.
I agree, Vick could make Jerry Rice in his prime look bad.

Yeah, I'm not about to criticize you for it, because I know how cut throat FF can get... I just don't know that I'd have done it. But, I have been considering trying to pry LJ away from his owner before the guy catches wind of the most recent news on Priest, and I'm not sure this is any better. I probaby won't end up doing it, but it has crossed my mind.

If he went to Denver, I would think they would want him this year, is there anyway that could get done?

TO? Nah. Most hated guy is Tomlinson. Every week 1 out of every 12 (or 10, or 14 depending on league size) fantasy players really hate the guy. :P

:goodposting: Jayson Williams.

Just heard a replay this week of his brother's 911 call after the shooting. He's frantic and when the dispatcher mentions the "troopers are on the way" he flips out. "Why are the troopers coming? We don't need troopers!" And then he turns around and yells, "She called the troopers!"

Of course this was all while Williams was jumping in the pool to get rid of the blood and they were wrapping the limo driver's hand around the weapon to make sure there were prints.

Nice bunch.

I think the New England idea has merit.
 They'd give shorter money to free agent-to-be David Givens before they threw a huge contract at TO.

And besides, that would go against absolutely everything Bill Belichick stands for. It simply won't happen.
I'm not sure how I can say this without offending some of the NE fans but enough with the holier than thou attitude. It was not too many years ago that they signed Dillon after all of the whining he did in Cinncinnati. If they think that TO can be a difference maker like Dillon and that Billichek can control him they will sign him.

NE wont touch him.. after they saw how he destroyed Eagles, Belichek is too smart for that...Gibbs won't allow itHolmgren wont take him because he is buds with AR and will talk to AR about it and decide no...Same is true for GB (the Favre thing is dumb... if the questions to TO was would the team be better with Sage Rosenfells he would have said yes)ATlanta is apparently a noKC is a noZiggy wont touch TO in Minnesota when he wants to clean up his team's imageDetroit likes to collect WRs but Mooch will say no...The asnwer is J E T S (and it will be fun to see how happy TO is when Pennington can onlky throw it 5 yards)

Nobody has ever been more hated and loved than Muhammad Ali, and by the same people too. I know I don't speak for everyone, but a lot of people who hated him in the 60's really admire him now.Edited to say that not only applies to athletes, but maybe anyone anywhere.

IIRC, Owens was deactivated for last night's game. So he still has a 4-game suspension without pay on the horizon.

Another big question is how much will teams be willing to give him in bonus and pay? What if no team wants to give him enough for him to sign? Does he sign so incentive laden contract or take a TV offer that could pay his as much or more than any NFL contract he might get? If their any chance TO is done playing football in the NFL? He will be almost 33 this time next year...

Is there any chance no team gives him enough money to ever play again? Will another media outlet offer him more to make a fool of himself kinda like Mike Irvin does on ESPN instead of playing football? Does he sign an incentive laden contract or take a TV offer that could pay his as much or more than any NFL contract he might get? If their any chance TO is done playing football in the NFL? He will be almost 33 this time next year...and lets face it after the BS he has pulled in SF and Philly what team will put up big time signing bonus cash to have him come in a do the same to their team? Will he ever sign a cheap underpay scale contract just to play in the NFL? His ego says he will play for any fairly decent offer but will he even get one of them? Dynasty owners of TO are looking tough right about now..what kind of moves are they making on TO now? Since I am not one of them i wonder. I would take the best deal I could right now especially if it could help me win anything this year..Does anyone think their is any chance that TO never plays in the NFL again?

I heard Sal P this morning and he was politely/tactfully annoyed with what was said on last night's broadcast. He said yesterday was definitely without pay.

I would have hauled ### to click the accept button. Alls fiar in Love, War and Fantasy Football.

"Three hours" isn't a lot of time. Not everyone has constant internet access.Personally, I wouldn't have done it. I would equate it to accepting a trade that was offered before a player got hurt and accepting it after news of a major injury was released.

I have given this much thought and do not mean it as a joke. Since I am not a doctor what kind of problem does TO exactly have? Owens had made and is making more money than he ever dreamed of. Owens has fame and fortune beyond his wildest dreams. Yet there is something missing. I heard on the radio today that he could have a severe inferiority complex that leads to self destructive behavior. In SF he had the same problems, they traded him to Baltimore but he hand picked the Eagles. Then they same problems erupted in Philly. No one ever said a bad word about TO in Philly. All of this was brought on by himself. TO went out of his way to rip McNabb the most popular player on the team.I am really trying hard to figure out why this happened.

I'm no doctor, but I did stay at........., well, you know the rest of it. I think he's a freaking re-tard..

Not making it political, but as an analogy, a psychologist or psychiatrist diagnosing Owens without examining him is akin to Senator Frist diagnosing Schivo by watching at a video tape.Owens clearly has issues. He has demonstrated self-destructive behavior, but the exact nature of his issues can not be diagnosed simply by watching him on ESPN.

In your behalf, I think the guy making the trade offer should pay more attention to the news/sports. It's not like having TO doesn't come with "well known" risks concerning the kind of thing that happened. This trade for him was kinda like going to school & paying tuition. No doubt it will make him smarter.

TO has acute Rosenhausitis. Nasty stuff, if not taken care of properly it can lead to delusions of grandeur, followed by dementia and characterized by spasmodic, uncontrollable movements and utterances.

TO has serious issues already from a fatherless childhood. His desire for attention ultimately started with that. I'm not saying that excuses his behavior, but that's where it started. Take a kid that was rejected as a child (I thought I heard once it turns out his dad lived across the street). Anyway, take that kid and give him super talent and a lot of money it's bound to make the desire for attention much worse. It's probably a cry out for someone to love HIM, not him the superstar, but love HIM.I know a bit touchgy feel, but I think that explains a little bit of why he is the way he is. Again, that does not excuse his behavior, only explains part of it. I hope he gets some help, I really do, it's pretty sad.

If he wants to have any value next year, his agent better say he is and that he is getting treated and on medication to claim that he is "better" by next year.

FWIW, a psychologist from the Air Force Academy called the Jim Rome show with a diagnosis, I forget exactly what it was, but yes, he's mentally ill.

senator frist says he is he is brain dead
LMAOi don't think he's mentally ill, but i do believe he has some serious personality disorders (axis 2 according to the DSM-4). these are usually a result of the environment (i.e. the way your parents raised you, or rather didn't raise you and only beat you and molested you and harmed you.....) with some familial component and possible illicit drug component...not saying TO did drugs, but when he was in SF and the crap that was going on with him and mooch, the media kept talking about how he was raised by his grandma and his whole childhood was f**cked up....

so, having never examined or talked to him, i suspect he suffers from some narcissitic personality disorder, with a bit of a borderline personality disorder. then, again, he could just be friggin' crazy....

No, he was suspended without pay. That should count as week 1.Eagles president Joe Banner confirmed that Terrell Owens has been suspended without pay, ending rumors to the contrary which surfaced Sunday afternoon.
