Didn't work for me. You can actually check how they're working because the bottom strip doesn't cover all your bottom teeth. So you have a kind of before/after comparison with teeth that have had the whitestrips on and teeth that haven't had them right next to each other. After about 6 months I couldn't really see any difference between the two.

I've had better luck with a homemade concoction of baking soda, peroxide and ginger. Brush it in, let sit for a while and then rinse.

It stores all the apps I use in one place and has a remote so I can go from app to app easily.

I have one for each TV.
My TV has all the apps in one place (on the home screen) and I can go from app to app that way. Seems like it would be about the same. Is the firestick just a tool for non-smart TV's? So if you have a smart TV they really don't do much for you?

Just trying to figure out if I need to get one of these things so I am trying to find out what it actually does for me. I assume you still have to pay all your streaming service subscriptions (so the firestick doesn't get you any of those services included)?
firesticks are good if you have an older tv. once your tv gets 3+ years old it starts to be overcome by the processing requirements. not to mention a lot of TV's can't get the software updates after several years.

so getting firesticks is a cheap way to basically upgrade your tv software by buying a new one every couple of years.
So like getting Perine on the cheap?

Dyson was the best thing I ever got my wife. Uses it almost every day. They're spendy but some have decent discounts and a clean home is very nice. And with pets, no-brainer, worth it.

I am finding much better deals over on walmart, they had the below real marked down to 80 dollars last night which is dirt cheap.

I have seen a few other really good deals over on walmart, where as amazon is only marking stuff down 10-20% on the items I am interested in. I want stuff to be 50% off.

I feel like I did pretty good this year.

Needed an EGO blower to complete my merge over to the EGO brand. Came with the 5.0 ah batter with is overkill, but having all the tools now its nice to have. Typically $280, got for $195. The battery alone is about $160. My kid has picked up a yard down the street so he's stressing out the battery powered tools.

Then found a Callaway range finder. $300 down to $170.

This is a good portable speaker

I was kicking myself because I had just bought a Marshals speaker for my kid, but then was relieved that it was the Emberton that was on sale and I bought the Acton III. Not sure why that made me feel better (as I spent what I spent regardless), but it did.
I have 5 :lmao:

:lmao: You can never have too many bluetooth speakers! I bought the Acton III for my kid because he really really likes his Marshall over the ear headphones and he just got a new turntable for his room at college and doesn't have a stereo system. The Marshall solution seemed like a great one as it offered an auxiliary input for better fidelity from the record player as well as bluetooth for convenience for his phone, laptop, etc.

This is admittedly for a pretty narrow market, but I picked up this Donner Travel Guitar on Prime Day. I've been traveling more for work and for longer periods of time, so this is something I can easily bring along with me for practice at the hotel in the evening.

Not a trap but Thermacell work great!
FWIW, research seems to suggest this seems to be the answer as long as you're staying in one place. And there are vids out there on how to sync these things up with butane as the fuel and reuse the scent pads to make it cost effective.

Ordered two, will report back.

We have one of these and use it on a wooded back porch. It works decently enough if you're close to it.

Bought 3 firesticks. Gonna be here this afternoon. Thanks for the reminder fellas.

Got a bunch of stuff for son going to college. Pretty happy with the prices for everything we got. Also grabbed one more fire stick.

Tell me why the firestick is so great and you gotta have multiples of them. Aren't they just a USB that stores streaming apps? You still have to pay for the app subscriptions, right?

I guess I just don't get the reason to get one of these things.

For me they're easy to hack and side load IPTV apps and Grey Market streaming apps like Kodi and Cinema HD.

Basically I pay about $7/mo for:

26,000 live TV channels
(basically every channel in the world including sports packages and PPV) ($5/mo)

Pretty much Every movie and TV show ever made on demand, unlimited, in 1080p or 4K. ($2/mo)

FWIW.. I'm a DynaTrap guy. I have a few and they are great.
You have the DynaZap or the Dyna Trap?

The Trap certainly looks better and is half off ($104), but it still twice as much as the Zap.

We have a Dynatrap, ran it for 2 years and i am not sure we ever killed a mosquito when we dumped out the dead insects. It killed lots of bugs, but i am not sure about mosquitos.

It took a while for me to convince the wife to take it down, now it just takes up space in the garage, maybe i can sneakily throw it away now.

Disagree. Plenty of other, less expensive options. Check reviews. See Shark for example.

Just purchased a cordless Shark from Costco a few months ago. Cannot ever see going back to corded.

Thoughts on this deal?

We already have this same model, but our daughter will be taking it with her to college; so we need another laptop. My wife is a teacher, so through Apple we could get the 2022 M2-chip model for $999 (retail is $1,099). Is the M2-chip model that much better than the M1, or is the cost savings worth it to buy the M1? We're not heavy users (general internet surfing, watching streaming apps).

My worry about cutting DTV and going streaming only is missing LA Kings games on Bally Sports West. Does this get those channels?

DTV has a streaming product, so you would load the DTV app to your Fire Stick to stream DTV. You would still have Bally so long as it is included in whatever DTV package you're subscribed to.

Just bought the Kindle Paperwhite Signature edition (32 GB) bundled with wireless charger, no lock-screen ads, and the dark cork cover for $172. Look forward to the guilty feeling that comes with not reading more.

Also, grabbed the Marshall bluetooth speaker mentioned above. Need something for the office and this looks perfect.

Gift card and reward point balance = $0.

I would like to know too. I've heard the RAM upgrade is a good idea, but we don't use our laptops for much aside from browsing, streaming video, some school apps, etc.. Would like to get one for each kid.

Thanks but I am trying to ditch DTV and was wondering how to still get the games. I think i had heard YoutubeTV doesn't get the Bally networks but that could be wrong. I am still in the research phase.

I was in the same boat a couple years ago. Both my local sports teams have deals with Bally, so when I ditched DTV I lost access to all Brewers and Bucks games other than when they're on national television. Its a model that won't last long imo.

Sorry for the off-topic post - ESPN+ gets most of the NHL games. If you're local and they're blacked out, you can use a VPN to spoof to a different city and then watch. I'm a Washington Capitals fan in the NY/NJ metro area and that's how I get Caps games. The only ones I can't get now are the ones on NHL Network (i.e. nationally syndicated on a channel I don't get). If the Caps happen to be playing NY/NJ market team and it's on MSG or blacked out, I'll just VPN to Chicago and it then plays on ESPN+.

For what you'd save killing DirecTV, you could likely get ESPN+. I switched from DirecTV to YouTubeTV a few months ago - it's saving me ~$30/mos and I had a very basic DirecTV plan.

The M2 is roughly 20% more powerful in raw compute and roughly 30% more powerful graphically. If all you use it for is browsing, streaming and office apps I don't think it's worth an extra 200 bucks.

Picked up a few Blink wireless outdoor cameras for perimeter monitoring, and added a couple solar panel chargers so I don't have to worry about changing batteries.

Cameras

Solar charger

Comes out to about $50/camera total, not bad for a simple 3 camera system.

Bought a Rachio3 smart irrigation system controller for $180 ($100 off). Also grabbed an ASUS RT-AX86U Pro router ($219) and a Levoit plasma pro 400s air purifier ($179) at Best Buy last week at a "pre-prime" sale.

Just some small items here. Another Fire stick, a charging cable, a 3 in one phone, watch, and airpods charger, a laptop stand, a portable cell charger. Maybe I'll take another peek tonight.

Also picked up a few lesser items. 4 Kasa smart plugs for $20. A variety pack of 24 discs for my angle grinder $25. Similar for my saws. Some cheap bath towels. A couple wireless chargers.

I got 7 knives for x-mas gifts for my nephews. I was gifted this knife several months ago by my BiL who is retired but sharpens knives in his wood shop as a little side hustle. I didn't think it was a knife I would use much but it looked kinda cool. Well, it's a beast for trimming and slicing ribs and roasts. I love the thing. $12, no brainer. Get one. It will surprise you.

I have 3 firestick 4k and 1 4k Max. I recently decided to buy a Nvidia Pro for my main TV. Definitely buffers lest and the picture is noticeably better. However, it is also $150 more so that has to be taken into consideration. It is the TV I watch the most however so I decided it was worth it.

Depending on which one you go with, you can get the Bally channels. PM if you have any questions.

When I visited my parents for their 4th of July BBQ, I realized they still had an old meat thermometer that took forever to get a reading - so I got them an instant read digital thermometer at 25% off. SO wanted some new shelves, picked up a few at 30% off. And I had to take this opportunity to restock on vitamins and sports drinks at a discount. Ended up doing just as much damage today as I did yesterday.
