Amazon Prime Day Deals (2 Viewers)

Wife ended up getting the 11 inch Kindle Fire. First Amazon tablet we've had.

I've been looking to get the Blackstone 4 burner griddle from Walmart that's like $400 and was hoping maybe they'd do a sale on it to compete with Prime Day. Same grill is like $250 more on Amazon for some reason though.

Been looking at buying Govee permanent lighting - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCQ3C4T2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
as I'm getting to that point where I don't like climbing on the roof each fall to put up Christmas lights.

Prime deal dropped the 100ft down $100.
Would love to do this but not sure how well it would stay up in the heat in AZ if it's a stick on type thing. Also pretty sure the HOA wouldn't go for it unless I could hide it behind the fascia which might make for a bit of an annoying install process.

Could always use super glue

As for "hiding them", the lights themselves are small and don't stick out. Every Christmas my wife and I drive around with a bucket of popcorn, Christmas music playing, and check out all the lights.
We saw a house using these last year, and during the day you have to look real hard to see them.

We drive around as a family and put little notes in people's mailboxes telling that we appreciate their awesome lights

Prime Day(s) is marketing shtick for sure, but it's shtick that's working.
Amazon is renting Hertz trucks to make deliveries! Never saw that before (only Prime vehicles)

They’ve been subbing out to regular joes in my area for years. It’s very odd to see an early 2000s accord pull up and start unloading Amazon packages

Here too

Same. Got into an Uber a few years ago and the front seat was filled with Amazon boxes.

It is possible that my wife got annoyed Amazon won't do a 30, 60, or 90 day price match and anything we recently purchased and had in the return window got a lower-price prime day purchase and return of the original.

I can't imagine she's the only one, and I can't imagine it's better financially for Amazon to not just price protect within x days vs processing all the shipments AND returns.

They used to do it. I'm sure they did the math that being able to change and lower prices regularly without having to worry about how much they're going to lose on prior sale price protection is more advantageous. And it's probably better for the consumer too so they can aggressively put things on sale.

99.9% of people aren't going to go through the hassle of returning and re-buying.

How often do you return ship product to Amazon?

This week? Look man I only monitor her so much...but she's shipping back like 8 boxes today alone.

For my own? I'm swapping from a golf mat that won't stay in place after one try for a better rated one. That's what I get for going cheap...

For my chores, Tuesday nights are "Process Amazon returns" nights. Wednesdays are "Whole Foods run". We (really, the wife) buys soooo much via Amazon that usually all of our returns that are outside of the return window get approved when I do a Chat session to get approval. We get every penny (and then some) out of our Prime membership.

Now I know why Amazon raised the price on Prime membership to $140/yr and added ads/charges to their streaming line-up. ... related, I cancelled Prime (but will fire it back up for football season).

Not like anyone is looking for a shower head but I was and waited for today. Best seller on their site and it's 50% off after the $10 coupon and prime day deal.

Keep me/us posted. I have to spec this stuff, but have never once heard of this brand. Good deal though.. good luck!
Got one as a result of this thread. Just installed it.

Love it. Seriously.

Teh $167 one?
Holy crap! I got it for $40. They seriously messed up the price on that one.

I think the $167 is wrong. Look at the black matte. But yes, I got it for $40 and it's a great showerhead.

Price is back to $64.

In remote areas, they usually send the package to the post office and pay the postage for the USPS to complete the delivery. For the large packages this gets complicated and may take them a while to complete.

Penn Spinfisher III in 3000 and 2000 sizes are only 80 dollars. This is a legitimate 130+ dollar reel in most retailers and is a decent deal.

Edit: The 10000 is pretty cheap too for a real that size at only 115 dollars. Reels that size usually start at the close to 200 dollar mark.

Does Amazon do dynamic pricing during these deals? I was browsing and I swear I saw a Dewalt drill and impact driver set that was close to 50% off a few hours ago and now it's only 31% off.

Nevermind, it was two different set.

They may have some "Lightning" deals were there is a bigger discount for a certain time period or for only a certain number of a particular item.
