American Horror Story: Hotel (Season 5) (1 Viewer)

This show is going to completly mess with our heads.

Who’s returning for AHS Season 2? Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe. All as different characters.
 It is going to be :headexplode: as we watch the new season and NOT think about what they did last season.

I think there might be just a few  people if they don't see this information before they start watching the new season.

'American Horror Story' scoop: Chloe Sevigny in negotiations for season 2

http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/04/26/american-horror-story-chloe-sevigny-exclusive/

Season 2 of the FX hit American Horror Story is shaping up to be even wilder than season 1. Case in point: EW has learned exclusively that Big Love‘s Chloe Sevigny is in final talks to join the second season, set to begin production this summer. Sevigny will play a character named Shelly the Nymphomaniac, who is one of the mortal enemies of Jessica Lange’s character. Basically, prepare yourself for Lange vs. Sevigny! The writers and producers of AHS were such fans of Sevigny that they wrote the part with her in mind.

The actress will join Lange, Zachary Quinto, Adam Levine, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe in the new season, which Murphy has revealed will be set in an East Coast institution for the criminally insane run by Lange’s character.

I have to think he will be a guest spot. The first season had a lot of guest spots.

The reason Levine was cast is because Ryan Murphy thinks he's sexy.Sadly, I'm not kidding.

Has the long-form panel interview with the creators and the cast from 2012 been posted here? I stumbled on it once on my phonea month ago and it was great. Now I cant find the link. It was at an industry convetion in NYC. If it hasnt been posted...well then I need to find it. Any fan would really enjoy it.

Ryan Murphy Reveals Title of New Chapter of American Horror Story

“American Horror Story: Asylum”

‘Asylum’ Stars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Zachary Quinto, James Cromwell, and Joseph Fiennes

LOS ANGELES, August 1, 2012 – Award-winning producer Ryan Murphy today revealed the title of the new chapter of American Horror Story, “American Horror Story: Asylum.”

Set in 1964, American Horror Story: Asylum stars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Zachary Quinto, James Cromwell, and Joseph Fiennes. Principal photography on the new minseries began on July 17 and it premieres on FX in October.

“When we launched the show last year, we kept quiet about the closed-ended nature of the show because we didn’t want to tip off the audience that the characters were not going to survive,” explained co-creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy. “Now that it has been established that each year is a closed-ended story, the time seemed right to reveal what we’re calling the new installment.

“We picked ‘Asylum’ because it not only describes the setting – an insane asylum run by Jessica Lange’s character which was formerly a tuberculosis ward – but also signifies a place of haven for the unloved and the unwanted. This year’s theme is about sanity and tackling real life horrors.”

The first installment of American Horror Story, which concluded last fall, earned 17 Primetime Emmy® Award nominations, tying for the most of any program this year and setting a record for the most Emmy nominations for a miniseries in basic cable history.

Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Dante Di Loreto and Tim Minear are Executive Producers of American Horror Story: Asylum. It is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television.

Whoa, did not realize that...Considering the genre/topic of the show and it pushing the envelope, thats pretty awesome.

6 episodes in and now we know Constance was living in the house from at least 1983 (shoots/kills Moira) - 1994 (Tate dies).

 :loco:

Just a reminder...if you have this show set as a Season Pass on your DVR, you better check if it is set to record. Since it has a new name for the new season, it might not recognize it. It doesn't on Directv.

Season 2 begins tonight...

Tonight's episode runs for 1 hour and 5 minutes, so set your VCRs accordingly...

that was a pretty awesome first episode

that chick in the beginning was bangin. great way to start the show off

I wonder if they are gonna keep flashing back to the current time with Adam Levine/hot chick storyline or if that was just for scare effect. Either way I liked it. Except for the whole alien angle. I thought it was in the kid's head until the doctor pulled that thing out of his neck and it crawled away. I hope that was just an illusion or something.

Schizophrenia - The experience is so real that many schizophrenics are convinced someone has implanted a broadcasting device in their bodies. Or they come to believe in a supernatural explanation for the strange sensation.

So is the Dr. schizophrenic? Or, is the boy?

Yeah, I wouldnt be surprised if the Dr is also crazy. Maybe this is dumb, but I dont mind ghosts in this show, but aliens I can do without.

Okay.... AHS Virgin finally succumbing to the hype and set my DVR today.. should catch episodes 1 and 2 of Season 2 tonight.

Without spoiling anything, what should I know about this show heading in?

Big horror film fan... Halloween 2 might be my favorite film ever.

Is Season 1 a must see before going into season 2? The impression I'm getting is they are independent of each other?

Where can I watch Season 1? Checked Netflix but no -go. Also have Amazon Prime.

Thanks

FWIW, I haven't seen any of the first season but tuned in last night. I was disappointed. And that chick at the beginning is the girl that's married to Channing Tatum. She was in the first Step Up movie. Great movie right there.
