Everybody funny. Now she funny too.
No better time to reference this song than on an election night.Everybody funny. Now she funny too.
She's winning...Is she crushing it today?
Saw some of these stories today , Is guess she’s a bit of a hot headFWIW, I don't think the fact that Klobuchar can apparently be an abusive boss is totally disqualifying, but I also don't think it means nothing.
What about eating a salad with a comb and then throwing it at a stafferThere’s a boatload of Trump voters just dying for a moderate Dem to vote for. Would be the lock of the century - Dems give a candidate that is moderate and it’s a done deal.
NOW if this happens I don’t want to hear a bunch of #### about how her hair is shaky in debates or she tells bad jokes.
Have no idea what this means but depends on the comb and the staffer. What about eating a salad with a comb and then throwing it at a staffer

Wrong. It depends on the salad.Have no idea what this means but depends on the comb and the staffer.
If she makes it to the general election, Amy Klobuchar would beat Donald Trump like he was her intern.Clay Aiken on 2020 primary: Why I'm changing my vote from Joe Biden to Amy Klobuchar
It was difficult for me to move my support from Joe Biden. But Amy Klobuchar is simply a better candidate for the 2020 race against Donald Trump.
Sassy. What about eating a salad with a comb and then throwing it at a staffer

until she throws a stapler at your head! The more exposure Amy gets the more people seem to like her. Everyone else is so mad and serious. She lightens things up a little.
Are they voting for Amy already as their dear leader wanted them to?There’s a boatload of Trump voters just dying for a moderate Dem to vote for. Would be the lock of the century - Dems give a candidate that is moderate and it’s a done deal.

Makes her an Alpha - got to keep those peons in their place. Will go over well with the uneducated. What about eating a salad with a comb and then throwing it at a staffer
I agree with this. I've just seen it play out. I saw it with my Dad who'd voted Republican until Bill Clinton and his focus on the economy. It just seems so obvious to me. The folks firmly set on Democrats will vote what whoever is the Democratic nominee. The folks firmly set on Republican will vote for Trump. Those are already decided. What's undecided are the folks not firmly set. There’s a boatload of Trump voters just dying for a moderate Dem to vote for. I don’t know what it will be this year but in 2016 it was down to about 3-5% of the people that were undecided between Hillary and Trump. It seems like this is the Dems version of the Tea Party that happened to the GOP a few elections ago.I agree with this. I've just seen it play out. That sounds like a joke Amy would tell.If she makes it to the general election, Amy Klobuchar would beat Donald Trump like he was her intern.
I am well aware. My Pops was an OB.GYN. Well I remember him making his daily rounds of young mothers recuperating for several days up to a week after giving birth. The 24 hour hospital stay was implemented when nurses went in strike and insurance companies adopted it as norm. Previously the stay was typically 3-4 days.
Have to agree with this. Can Amy win over the African-American and Latino votes? I think she has a better shot than Pete but I’m still skeptical. I think a lot of these votes that Biden loses will go to Sanders.
I was on the Klobuchar train before it was trendy.
I've been shouting this from the rooftops.
She won her Senate race three times - with 58%, 65%, and 60% of the vote. She's a winner. She's got a sharp legal mind. She's measured when she's on camera. And she'd carry the Midwest, which is the great difference maker.
I'm a fan of Klobuchar and currently have her #1 overall of the current Dem candidates.
She is real.
She is in it for the right reasons.
She's not a socialist.
She has meaningful experience and the respect of her peers.
She is one of only two Dem candidates(Wallstreet Pete) that I'd consider voting for over Trump.

Beto as VP.
You don't think that Bloomberg could beat Trump?Tulsi is not getting the votes she deserves. Yang has given up. Amy is the last chance to get my vote. She's the only one that could possibly beat Trump. Pick anyone else and Trump wins.
However, the smart D move is to sacrifice Bernie and then run Amy K. in 2024.
Sort of. Her fight was for one more allowed day in the hospital for women who have given birth - for recuperation reasons more than anything else - because of the 24 hour max allowance for hospitalization for uncomplicated births set down by insurance companies at the time. To give time for the required "how to" videos people are supposed to watch before taking a baby home, enough time to be actually recovered from the physical trauma before leaving the hospital, etc. And it was set against the backdrop of "not only was I going through all of this, but also my baby was incredibly ill, and in part because I wasn't even recovered and had to either skip treatment for my baby or lie on forms about having been shown the videos, etc, I had no idea what was going on."Help me understand the Klobuchar sick infant story. As I understand it she gave birth and her infant was very sick and was going to be in the hospital in rather critical care for an indeterminate amount of time. She, Ms. Klobuchar was fine though exhausted and understandably distraught. She was medically discharged after 24 hours. She was not forced to leave the hospital, she was not prohibited access to or care of her child, she was just done, herself, with being seen by the doctors and so she was discharged. Her insurance did not want to pay for her to use the hospital as a hotel so that she would have access to her daughter. She was offended. She would have liked to stay a patient not for physical medical needs, but for emotional ones. She then became politicized and eventually passed legislation that said the legislature and mothers feelings require hospitals to grant longer maternity stay, regardless of medical necessity.
Is my understanding correct?
Or did you?
got you by 3 minutes!!!
I tried to post last night but had connection issues - Klobuchar crushed her opponent. That bodes well. And I agree, I think she'd be a solid choice for the day to day. I'd add I think she might be able to unite the parties on a number of bipartisan issues. If she were to run with Beto or someone like that as VP, I think she might win.
I am unclear on the skip treatment for my baby thing. I find the watching the video's thing more or less a ruse and foolish. takes very little time or effort. I am very sympathetic to providing a bit more recovery time for mothers. I loath insurance companies and I think they usurp the medical and clinical prerogative of doctors all in the name of profit. Frankly I think doctors regularly violate the Hippocratic oath to accommodate the insurance industry who interposes business decisions for medical ones. I think her story is admirable, but I think she has tried to enhance it for political purposes. She has built a heroic narrative where she rose up against great odds. I believe the base story to be good enough without the embellishments. I guess we are all the heroes of our own stories.Sort of. So we are saying that the only time she could have watched the videos was during treatment of her child, as in a procedure? Seems unacceptably draconian.Skip attending treatment for her baby (to watch the stupid videos) or lie on the required forms (that she watched the stupid videos.)
But the story, for her, is primarily that she saw a need, went to the legislature and stood up for it, and got an extra day for recovery for giving birth rather than trying to go in and overhaul the healthcare system.
Plenty of time for the sediment to settle out between now and the convention, at least there would be if folks did not get so breathless so fast. With the game being about expectations and funding, rather than about vetting and finding the best candidate I take your meaning. She's not going to get the nom but she is muddying the water. I don't think now is the time to be celebrating a Klobuchar surge
I am also acutely aware that a person who has been through severe physical and psychological trauma in the last 24 hours is unlikely to behave - or consider options - the way he or she would otherwise.I am aware that hospitals like to create the illusion of full control on discharge matters. I suspect that this is very effective with the average person, more less persons of less education or experience. I don't buy that Ms. Klobuchar in any way believed that, or believes it. I think she is selling something.
You believe her account, uncritically?I am also acutely aware that a person who has been through severe physical and psychological trauma in the last 24 hours is unlikely to behave - or consider options - the way he or she would otherwise.
