She actually hadn't played the violin before being cast in the show, and learned how to look like a violinist just for the part.

I was about to agree with belljr and Jack White because I think violinists are inherently hot and I thought she played -- but I decided to fact-check my post before submitting and had to change my tune.

Am I alone in that not playing the violin has no direct bearing on the a chick's hotness?
