Anquan Boldin could still play Sunday (1 Viewer)

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said Thursday that he wouldn't rule out Anquan Boldin playing Sunday against the Cowboys."I've learned that you can't rule 'Q' out of anything. That's been my experience with him," Whisenhunt said. "We'll see how he feels tomorrow and Saturday. Obviously he's recovering quickly." Whisenhunt added that the upcoming bye week will not be a factor. Friday's practice report will be telling, but Boldin may end up a game-time decision. Source: Associated Press

LOL, considering he hasn't practice since the injury, I very, very, seriously doubt he'll actually play at this point.

If he can play then he will , it s a important game for the Cardinals ( Cowboys ) and they need to win - win - win to make the playoffs .

Even without practicing at all if he is ok to play he will , they need to win .

No doubts that Quan is tough. There are factors that that could push it either way, but after 2 weeks of not practicing, he'd have to practice today and look and feel excellent. Coaches always stress the importance of a Friday practice for a guy who's missed time. So Im not overly optimistic since they we ruling him out a few days ago.

But then i didnt think Colston would have a shot at playing this week either, so what do I know.

Last week I don't think he was ruled out until Friday. If no further damage can be done I would think he will be playing this week. People have been assuming all week that he is out, but this has not been based on anything concrete.

Because the hit looked so bad and was seen by everybody, the physical effect is perceived as being worse than it actually is. With his experience in the system I would think he is prepared enough, just depends if any further damage concerning the surgery can be done.

Looks like Boldin will play this weekend, picked this up from MFL.

(KFFL) ESPNews reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (head) is considered probable for the team's Week 6 game.

Cardinals: Boldin not likely to play

THE NEWS

The chances that Cardinals wideout Anquan Boldin will play on Sunday against the Cowboys are extremely slim, even though he has not been ruled out for the game, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View

Boldin was at the team's practice, yet did not participate and left early. He had surgery on his sinus to fix a fracture just a week ago.

If he plays (hell even if he doesnt play) Q is the mother ####### man. Thats a tough SOB.

No doubt about it shizzle!! The man is tough as nails. That being said, even though I own him in almost every league, I really do not want him to play this weekend. I can get by without him and so can the Cardinals. Breaston is performing just fine in his absence.

BTB: What's the injury situation? Is Boldin for sure out? What about the rest of the team?

ROTB: Boldin's hasn't been ruled out yet but it would be a minor miracle if he played. As for the rest of the team, Ben Patrick (sort of the starting TE) hasn't practiced all week and will have to practice tomorrow if he wants to play. Bertrand Berry, a good pass rusher, has been limited after missing the previous two games, but he's still questionable at best. Everyone else should play including Adrian Wilson, Eric Green and Roderick Hood (all starters). Hood is the only question mark since his injury sounded worse at the beginning of the week, but I haven't heard it even mentioned since Monday so I'm assuming he's good enough to play.

I see this blurb on MFL, but yet if you go directly to KFFL and look at the latest news on Boldin, I don't see anything saying he's probable for this weekend. Latest news is the same that we've been seeing, just saying that he hasn't been able to participate in practice but Whisenhunt isn't ruling him out for Sunday just yet. So he still seems unlikely to play.

He got it from here probably: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6390/news"Oct 10 ESPNews reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (head) is considered probable for the team's Week 6 game. "

I really hope he sits. Not smart to rush him back and cause reinjury when Breaston is doing fine. Give him 2 more weeks to rest.

This is a big game for the Cardinals. If Boldin can help them do that, with minimal risk of reinjury, he will play.
it really isn't that big of a game since they won last week. they are stil in the drivers seat in that division at 3-3 if they lose. a loss to a good team like the cowboys wouldnt hurt that badly. you can sit him this week and he'll have had a nice month to get back to full health by the time they get back from the bye. unless he's 100% right now, i'd give him a rest, and treat a win vs. the cowboys as gravy.

FWIW....

KFFL) Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (head) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 10. He has been ruled out of the team's Week 6 game.

Without confirming elsewhere, I agree with this move by the Cards.

good to hear. Breaston is no Boldin, but he didn't hurt them any last game and will be fine this week too. Rest up Q, come back strong baby.

Anquan Boldin (sinus surgery) has been ruled out for Week 6 against Dallas.

Steve Breaston gets a second straight start, this week against a Dallas team that is banged up (Terence Newman) and may lack focus (Adam Jones). The game could be a high-scoring shootout and he is a strong WR3 play in any format. Boldin figures to return after Arizona's Week 7 bye. Oct. 10 - 3:27 pm et

Love Breaston in any format this weekend. Due respect to Quan though - dude is tough as nails. Pay the man already
