Antonio Bryant (1 Viewer)

His potential is WR 1. His attitude and immaturity have cost him every opportunity he's had in Dal, Cle & SF. He is currently ineligible for the first (2) games of 2007 due to violating the NFL substance abuse policy. I haven't seen any news or speculation on this guy, other than he worked out with Tampa, apparently his character issues scared them off.

Do you think some team will take a chance or is his character so questionable, no one will touch him?

He's played for 3 different teams over 6 years, had one 1,000 yard season and hasn't gotten 5 TD's or more since his rookie season. He's not that good of a WR and a nutjob to boot, why take him? Not to mention whoever does has to deal with his suspension when he comes back. So yeah, why bother?

15.3 YPC and nearly 25% for +20 yds, he's clearly talented. No doubt he is immature with an attitude, but so is TO and Randy Moss. It seems there are so many teams in need of WR, its hard to believe they are not looking Byrant's way. Does Bryant's character issues trump a 2nd/3rd chance?

Obviously he has done something wrong to get suspended, but what else has he done to scare off so many teams? I don't remember ever hearing anything specific, just that he has "character issues" and is immature.

His problem is that he has the TO/Moss attitude but not the TO/Moss numbers. I think he could be a good WR2 for some team, but his attitude will get in the way. What a waste of talent!

I think that is probably true. There are more rumors of Curtis Martin returning than Antonio Bryant. I just find it odd that no one is working him out. Is he that untouchable?

If he's signed, when does he have to stay away from the team?It was my understanding, that when suspended, you cannot have contact with the team. Does that start week 1? Training camp? Preseason? If you sign him now, and can't talk to him until week 5, that would put him well behind the curve learning a new system. 2007 is almost a wash for him really.

 Isn't there a rule that if you don't sign a player until after week 1 then they are paid on a game-by-game basis and not guaranteed a contract? I think this is the reason the Vikes cut Koren a couple years ago right before week one and signed him after that. This might be the thinking of some teams - sign him after week one and then it is not guaranteed.

I dropped him after drafting him in an initial dynasty last year. He's got the talent to be a borderline 1000k receiver, but I realized this offseason that teams think he's too much trouble and he's basically a waste of a roster spot. Odds are he'll get a job somewhere but I don't see him being a guy you could ever reliably start and lacks upside.

If he's not in Minnesota by mid year they should all be fired. I know they have no one to throw it but they better get someone to catch it in case he learns how.

thanks for dropping him ;) I will take the chance and probably drop him, too

I don't know the rules and can't find them via google. However, it seems ABryant has enough talent to warrant more interest than he is getting.

I am not 100% sure, but I think that is correct.

Have you seen him play? He's a tremendous talent, won the Biletnekoff in college. He's just undisciplined. I'd love to see someone take another shot at him.
