Any practice update on Julio Jones from today? (1 Viewer)

Usually don't see this info till the evening time on most sites. If you are debating between JJ and maybe a guy you would have to use today, I would go ahead an pull the trigger today. Some might disagree but I would take the sure thing today over what might or might not happen with Julio Jones.

per ESPN:

The Atlanta Falcons just sent out their Thursday injury report and there's some pretty significant news on it. Rookie receiver Julio Jones, who had been sidelined by a hamstring injury, returned to practice.

Jones participated on a limited basis, but consider this a sign the Falcons are working toward getting him ready for Sunday's home game with Minnesota.

Oh boy - here we go again - I've blown it all year with this guy. I've started him every week when he hasn't produced and benched him for the 3 weeks when he's gone for 100+ and TDs.

What to do this time? Last time he had his huge game against Indy, I had him reserved b/c I was afraid of playing him coming off the hammy injury.

:loco: :loco: :loco:

Then on behalf of the rest of the Julio Jones owners in the world, please bench him again. ;)

Falcons WR looks to return to action vs. Vikings

Atlanta Falcons wideout Julio Jones returned to practice on Thursday and appears likely to play this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings, barring any setbacks.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Jones looked crisp in his first practice of the week, though the rookie receiver only participated on a limited basis.

"It felt good to get back out there, running routes," Jones said, via the newspaper. "I thought I was going to be rusty, but I wasn't. So, it just felt good to be back out there with my teammates."

Jones has battled a nagging hamstring injury throughout the year. He originally suffered the injury Oct. 9 against the Green Bay Packers and missed the following two games. Jones then came back Nov. 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, exploding for two touchdowns and 131 yards, but he re-aggravated his hamstring the next week against the New Orleans Saints and sat out last week's win over the Tennessee Titans.

Cornerback Brent Grimes (knee) also returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson did not practice for a second consecutive day as he attempts to overcome a sprained left ankle he sustained last Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Peterson was in a walking boot Wednesday, and Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Peterson would need to practice by Friday in order to be available against the Falcons.

Tight ends Visanthe Shiancoe (hamstring) and Kyle Rudolph (quadriceps) did not practice Thursday, while wideout Percy Harvin (ribs) and quarterback Christian Ponder (knee) were limited.

Looks like he's playing, but everybody else except for him is getting the love. Douglas, White, and Gonzalez all have 30+ yards receiving and Jones has zilch!

Sickening. I started him over Decker. Now I'm up by 31 points with Manning to go for my opponent (6 pts/passing TD, 5-pt bonus for 300 yards) and my season on the line. It's going to be close. Manning has scored 31+ in four of 10 games.

Michael Turner (groin) and Julio Jones (hamstring) both returned to Falcons practice Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday.

It appears the Falcons were just getting Turner and Jones early-week rest in order to ensure they're as close to 100 percent as possible for Sunday's tough matchup with the Texans. Both players are expected to start on Sunday. We like Jones as a WR2/3, ranking him 24th among receivers for Week 13. Turner is Rotoworld's No. 13 running back facing Houston's top-four run defense.Source: D. Orlando Ledbetter on TwitterDec 2 - 1:33 PM
