A guy in my league only has Alexander, Staley, and Shipp as RB's.  I'm thinking of offering him K Jones & Parker for S.  Alexander AFTER this weekends games.  I want to see how Jones performs.  I also have Dillon, LJ, & Chester Taylor as RBs so I can still start a 3rd RB as my flex position as long as LJ stays out of jail.  Does this look like  a fair trade on my part?  I'm thinking if I offer it he jumps on it since hes low at RB and a Lions homer.

So you're going to wait and see if KJ and FWP suck and then trade them for Alexander?

Its not that I'm waiting to see if they suck. I'm just waiting to see if KJ plays better. If he can do well against a decent Chicago D and FWP has a good game vs Houston, I may explore other trade options with other teams. Just evaluating what my "stock" is really worth here more or less before making a hasty trade.

A similar situation to this, is the Rudi Johnson one. 2 years ago Rudi was playing well over an established injured starter. Rudi did not have the pedigree of being a high draft pick.The evaluation we had to make was whether Rudi was talented enough to displace full time the established starter in Dillon. We all know how it turned out. Note: there were attitude circumstances which helped make it happen in Cinci, which there are not in Philly. BTW: I had Rudi, and I prided myself for trading him high for a 1st round pick after 3 games as a starter...., I felt good then....I felt good after Perry was drafted, but today the first round pick isn't worth crap compared to a starting NFL RB. If you think Fast Willie could (not will) keep the job, hold onto to him at all costs, b/c chances like these don't come along often.

FWP's value will never be higher than it is right now. This is the exact same situation with Griffin last year. I'm a huge KJ fan, but I would take the trade in an instant with your depth at RB.

Apparently he's in a more active league than yours. Hooray for you in a "Shark" league where no one ever trades with each other and owners just sit on their benched talent.

This is the key. He's only worth something if he remains the starter. No one knows this yet.He ran like a madman vs a team that doesn't have the best D in the league.

Any type of trade now is pure speculation.

Another owner offered Andre Johnson for FWP. I think Houston's passing game sucks even though they will have to try to play catch up every week, so I am going to hold out for more. I'm trying to get Larry Fitzgerald from that some owner, instead of AJ.Hopefully, FWP has another big week.BTW, no points per reception in our league and I already have Tomlinson and Alexander (auction league - redraft)

Willie Parker owner in my league put him on the trade block requesting WRs in return. I offered Chris Chambers and he told me that it was the best offer he has received but that he wanted to hold off until after this week. I would have started Parker this week as I am thin at RB with LT, Bell/Anderson, Barlow and William Green as my only running backs. I am tempted to offer Michael Clayton but haven't decided if I am going to do it.

Let me get this straight, you would give up Parker AND Torry Holt for Culpepper and Droughns. That is a very bad trade, and one you would likely regret for quite a long time....not just this year, but perhaps as long as you play fantasy football.Droughns in a Browns uniform is not someone you should covet....Pepper is very good, but you are giving up way too much in this scenario.

I don't have a trade offer yet, however I just picked him up in a Blind Bid waiver process. Everyone in my league had a shot at him in the Blind bid, yet only 2 others even bid for him. This was a free pick up no drop required, only Waiver dollars. I am now very deep at RB and picked him up with a future trade in mind, since most in my league don't see him as a long term starter, I will probably trade, Tiki, Ahman, or Priest for a Top Tier WR. Is FWP's value that erratic?

In my league, I was offered Mewelde Moore for Isaac Bruce (I own Bennett and Duce). I counter-offered with Bruce for FWP and was turned down cold even though he is starting Lelie and Andre Johnson every week.I guess the moral to this thread is don't trade FWP for a mid-level WR.
