Anyone else excited about the NY Giants this year? (1 Viewer)

In real life, they could easily be 3-0. Their offense seems to be clicking now and Odell is picking up where he left off fantasy wise. They've dropped drop machine Preston Parker so their drives will last longer, and once Victor Cruz returns if he's as good as before he will complete a nice passing attack, 2 star receivers, an amazing passing back, and a decent tight end. I expect Eli to throw 35 tds minimum with that group. What are the holes to my theory?

I'd be excited if I owned OBJ, he's been really good at real football but certainly hasn't picked up where he left off which was a torrid and unrealistic pace for fantasy purposes.

Eli is still making bonehead decisions, if Victor Cruz remotely returns to form from that injury he will be the first and the rest of the pass catchers are terrible to mediocre- save for a Rueben Randle deep deflected TD.

Vereen is limited, Jennings is solid & AWill will plod his way to vultured TDs.

So no, not excited.

Their backfield is not worth investing in, outside of vereen in ppr, agreed. But Odell has been producing well in mediocre play of their offense, I see good things for him Eli and maybe Cruz when their offense starts clicking

Eli is in the giant scrum of QBs that will vary from QB5-QB20 each week, he's a solid backup/streaming option but presents no week to week advantage over counterparts. Vereen is an okay "what-the-heck" flex in PPR but let's be real here..

The offense starts and ends with OBJ for fantasy purposes.

In real life it's hard for them to miss the playoffs in that division. Dallas was a very good team, but without their QB you can't expect much. Washington and Philly look like they could both be in contention for the top pick (kind of surprising for Philly). If the Giants are even an average team they should end up winning the division by 2-3 games. If they're above average it could be all but locked up by week 10.

This division is shaping up to be the worst in the league with the injuries to dallas and the complete failure in philly. If philly can get their #### together they should have this division but right now Giants should win if philly can't get things together. Dallas will probably go 8-8 or 9-7 washington is awful they always have been so i think they are lucky to get 6 wins and again with philly who knows. They could end up with 10 wins if they click then again they could end up with just 3 its that volatile

Counting on Cruz to be a productive WR2'ish guy seems wishful thinking to me. I agree, it starts and ends w/ Beckham on offense. Defensive front 7 looks stout; back-end can't withstand injuries, DRC can't miss time.

The offense could be a lot better if Cruz comes back and is his old self, but what are the odds of that?

The Atlanta game they should not have won. They got outplayed badly in the 4th quarter.

Now, if you want to say they could be 2-1, that is fine, but their stupidity costed them the Dallas game.

Fortunately for them, the injuries to Romo and Dez could mean a 9-7 team wins the AFC East, so you never know.

I hate to admit it, but I think philly wakes up soon. If so they might run away with the east....If weeden can go .500 until Romo comes back, the Cowboys may have a shot....I think the giants also have an outside shot....da skins are a dumpster fire.

The Giants offense would be more exciting if Coughlin would quit using game strategy from 1990.

Even in the win Thursday night, the offense got real conservative and almost shut it down too early...again.

It's McAdoo calling the plays but I agree. In general I'm not a fan of the new offense either. Makes no sense to change it when you've got a veteran QB who won two SBs with the old system.
