anyone ever grill a turkey? (1 Viewer)

I used an oil less turkey fryer with a nice dry rub. Turkey turned out great. Crispy skin, juicy meat. Used it in the garage and it was cold enough so that most people didnt come out and bother me. Had the ggame on, sat in the lawn chair and drank beer while everyone else sat inside. It was nice.

Here is the model I used.

Apparently you can cook other things in my it. I tested it out with a whole chicken and it was like getting a rotisserie bird. Today will be trying a roadt beef for dips and sammies this week.

Interesting, I've never heard of these. More of a chamber than a "fryer", but I guess they can call it whatever they want. How long did it take to cook and how big of a bird?

14 pounds. About 2.5 hours to 160 degrees. I forgot to check the clock when I pulled it. We had a lot of people over and was a little distracted. I tried the roast beef but overcooked it a tiny bit. Takes 10 minutes to set up and 10 to clean so will try a few more things out. Gives me an excuse to sit in the garage, watch tv and drink beer a few weekends this winter.
