With the new coin toss rule and the option to defer, a lot of coaches (I know Belichick is one) opt to defer when they win the coin toss. The opposing team then of course elects to receive the ball.
Does anyone know what Tomlin does when Pitt wins the toss? Do they take the ball or defer?
I ask because for, ahem, recreational purposes, the odds for "What team kicks off to start game?" are:
Pitt -160
Zona +130
This would hold with theory that Pitt usually defers when they win. Also, I would imagine that if Zona wins the toss, they will elect to receive to try to put up points early.
Any Pitt homers know Tomlin's history on this?
