Seemed like they were calling more runs from the line and less from the shotgun?
Boom110 & 2 scores tomorrow night. Heard it here first!
No uSo funny. He had a great game, but just like the previous four weeks didn't tell the entire story neither did tonight. So get over yourselves Lacy lovers (a group to which I belong), he's going to have to do this many more times to justify his draft position.
I fully expect him to do this many more times. He looked like a freight train tonight. So funny. Remember who they played tonight, it plays into his performance. He needs more games like this one against a decent opponent.I fully expect him to do this many more times. +1Every game each week has its own situation. Take this "win" and move on.

I gauged a lot and no he was trucking peoole on the first drive.Hard to gauge anything from tonight. The Vikings pretty cleary gave up basically when they were watching Ponder warm up, and REALLY gave up later on before Lacy was trucking everyone.
Looked pretty fit last night….If it's Bridgwater under center and not ponder I'd take that bet all day. Eventually people are gonna have to realize that lacy isn't fit for this offense until they start lining up in the I and handing off to him. Not making him start 5 yards deep on every hand off he isn't going to produce stellar numbers.Lacy will outscore asiata tomorrow guaranteed.

The Vikings weren't a terrible run defense. Before this game they were allowing 113.3 yards per game on the ground and 3 rushing touchdowns in 4 games.Remember who they played tonight, it plays into his performance. Did you watch the first drive for the packers??? He was playing possessed.Hard to gauge anything from tonight. The Vikings pretty cleary gave up basically when they were watching Ponder warm up, and REALLY gave up later on before Lacy was trucking everyone.
Pump the brakes a littleWas a top 10 RB going into the draft, and after last night still deserves to be a top 10 RB
You should say that to the folks overreacting based on the first 3 games of the year when you have a history of success.Pump the brakes a littleWas a top 10 RB going into the draft, and after last night still deserves to be a top 10 RB
Yes and I don't know what some others are talking about saying the Vikes D quit or gave up. They were playing the entire time. The Vikings weren't a terrible run defense. Lacy looks out of shape compared to last year. I dont know if it is just perception, but he looks a little less explosive. I am a Lacy believer. Glad he got it going last night. I think he is gonna have the sophmore slump, looks like it 5 games in.
Fair assessment and I agree. I picked him at #7 overall and unfortunately he's not the matchup-proof RB i had hoped he would become but, he'll still be solid the rest of the season. To be honest, I was expecting 50% of what he produced last night.you cant have it both ways you cant blame tough Run D's in Sea, Det & NYJ for his bad outings and then blame a soft D in minn for a very good game and serviceable game vs Chi's beat up D
I was actually very encouraged by last night because you can clearly see the trademarks of the power and vision once he gets through the hole.Fair assessment and I agree. Compared to last season, it seems it takes him longer to build up speed/momentum during his runs. Don't see much weight gain though.
The same team who held S Jax to under 50 yards on 13 carries last week or the one that held Khiry Robinson to under 70 yards on 18 carries the week before? And kept both of them out of the endzone.Remember who they played tonight, it plays into his performance. That's revisionist history. He was the consensus #5 RB going into drafts this season. Was a top 10 RB going into the draft, and after last night still deserves to be a top 10 RB
Im wondering how much of the dancing was him "being patient" and things he/they were working on. Then last night the patience paid off...or just more holes were there..I was actually very encouraged by last night because you can clearly see the trademarks of the power and vision once he gets through the hole.Fair assessment and I agree. I think what a lot of people are commenting on and calling "dancing around" and "needs to hit the hole" is just lingering residue from the firs few weeks of the season when those three terrific defenses snuffed him out. It just takes a little while to get that confidence back that what he thinks should be there is actually there and now its beginning to be again.
I really don't think we can overlook how good Seattle and Detroit at home and the Jets, in general, are.
Terrible formatting which will cause most to not read it but still a veryLacy certainly played well last night and rewarded his fantasy owners. The fantasy value of players is rather fluid just like a stock--they can go up and they can go down. At the beginning of the season--Lacy was drafted in most leagues in the mid-late first round--meaning he was valued as the 4th or 5th best fantasy RB in the game. Four games into the season--he certainly did not return anything close to those types or results--and regardless of if one is a Lacy hater or supporter--the fact is that his value had dropped significantly. If you go back up and read the previous posts that I put on this thread when his value had dropped--I thought he was a buy low as an RB2. After last night--the buy low window has closed. With that being said--I do think we should take into account some of the "moving parts" in last nights game. The Vikings were a team that was void of any heart or competitive spirit last night. Calling them a train wreck would be an insult to actual train wrecks. Lacy had 13 carries for 105 yrds--an amazing 8.1ypc--but a completely unsustainable ypc. I'm also concerned that he got both of his td's in the second half when the Vikings were essentially completely checked out of the game. Aaron Rodgers had thrown for 3 tds in the game before Lacy has gotten his--which further points out that Green Bay still looks to rely on their passing game to score TD's. To sum it up--Lacy put up solid numbers against an uncompetitive and dejected opponent last night. The Vikes lost their heart and soul in AP--and then they saw a glimmer of hope in Bridgewater--and then Bridgewater was taken away in a short week. They rolled Christian Ponder out there with little or no practice time--and his performance was nothing short of pathetic. I'm not using this as an excuse--as Lacy still did his job and performed--so congrats to all of his owners that played him. However--in all objectivity--I don't think last night is the barometer of what we can routinely expect from Lacy week to week. The quality, mental toughness and preparation of Green Bays opponents will certainly improve from that of last night. My expectations of Lacy after last night are that he should consistently average 70-80 rushing yards, 10-20 receiving yrds and 0.5 tds per game the rest of the way.

hes dropped out of the top 5, but still a top 10.
not a bust, a def disappointment in regards to draft position, but not a bust.
would you rather be sitting on lacy or mccoy right now?

this is what still concerns me. In a game where they blew the other team out, he still only had 13 runs. I'm still very concerned about his week in week out production.Everyone, including the Vikings, knew what was coming last night and he still crushed it. I don't think you can just write last night off as a fluke. He only ran it 13 times and he made the most off of each and every touch.

glad i still have him...
Rodgers had 17 pass attempts. It was a blow out. There was a stat last night mentioned that in Lacy's young career when he touches the ball at least 16 times a game the team has 9 wins. Now, that stat is probably true with most teams when their rb's get lots of touches they are usually up or they have proper balance and you win. What stood out to me though, is I don't care how good Rodgers and the Packers passing attack is, they still are a much more complete and better team when Lacy is touching the ball. They know this and I am guessing they want him touching the ball 15-20 times each and every game. Last night even in a blow out win and not playing the 4th he had 16 touches.this is what still concerns me. In a game where they blew the other team out, he still only had 13 runs. I'm still very concerned about his week in week out production.Everyone, including the Vikings, knew what was coming last night and he still crushed it. Is lacy the only player they drafted? Your argument is not logical, especially considering the current performance of the consensus Top 12.And for many of those owners, who cares if he is top 5 the rest of the way when he was a primary reason why they were 0-4 going into week 5? Do any fantasy leagues give out Pyrrhic victory trophies?
Please stop making stuff up. The average Lacy owner is 2-2 and most first round picks this year have disappointing. Lacy has not been a bust so far, he had a traumatic brain injury in week 1.He was the #39 RB (ppg) going into this week. He is currently the #23 RB (ppg).
He is on the rise, and I think he will continue to do so, but he has been a bust so far and there isn't a question about that. He has an opportunity to make that right the rest of the way, as evidenced last night, but Q1 was horrendous and put many of his owners in a terrible spot.
And for many of those owners, who cares if he is top 5 the rest of the way when he was a primary reason why they were 0-4 going into week 5? Do any fantasy leagues give out Pyrrhic victory trophies?
