Anyone starting Burner-Turner against OAK (1 Viewer)

After what we saw Turner to do Denver this week and remembering Turner mopping up in garbage time last year - anyone taking a chance and rolling with Turner this week?

Due to bi-weeks I am considering starting him in my flex

Any thoughts or opinions if others are in the same situation?

Turner looks fresher than LT..LT looks like he has tired legs.

I just put Pittman on my IR list, and picked up Turner. I have to start 3 RB, and Gore and K. Jones are out on by weeks for me right now. I still have Alexander, and Portis starting... and I am going to throw Turner in there for the hell of it.

Well of course Turner is fresher (thats the whole idea for SD) Turner had 2 touches before the game was outta reach 27 to 3.He always does the mop up when SD is winning big.

I wouldn't bet that after one game against a shakey Denver team that the Chargers are suddenly golden. In fact, they might be patting themselves on the back too much - seems like they do that a lot.

:D I don't think it'll be a blowout.

I don't worry about what the Chargers do win or lose (not a fan) I just follow the few players I might have on SD for FF points.

The way I see it, if SD has a good record and making the playoffs. The playoffs for us (FF players) in week 14,15,16 will be getting less FF points. LT, Gates, possible Rivers too will start but not have more then 2.5 quarters of play. Week 15 is Lions and week16 is Denver again, key players will sit and early...so better off that SD doesn't have a good record to me.

I won't be starting him because I want to, but because I have to. I got lucky this week when I had to start him. I doubt I'll get lucky twice.

There is a thing called home field advantage that is a pretty big deal to most NFL teams.Plus I doubt they just run away with the division. Norv is still their coach. No way are they in a position to save their starters before week 17.

Oakland will probably beat the Chargers. They (and Denver) are really not very good.

Last week's points are gone, brother. Don't chase 'em.
Ya, I think this is sound advice but it really does depend on each individual case. I mean, don't expect those numbers, that's for sure. However, if you're in a situation where you have Peterson from Chicago.....I'd be willing to throw the dice and start Turner over him in a potential blowout situation.Start him over a decent starting RB........nada.

LT... LT... LT is way overdue for a monster game and this is the week. Turner is a fine desperation play because of the possibility of a blowout.

I can see starting him if you don't have many options, but I wouldn't start him thinking this is going to be a blowout game. Oakland is playing decent this year, their defense is pretty good and they can actually score points this year so I don't see a blowout game happening against Oakland.
