Are you a Costco member? What do you buy for your household? (2 Viewers)

Any golfers out there. The Kirkland Signature golf balls are getting rave reviews. Only problem is they are hard to find. My Costco has been out of them the last 2 times I've been there. Anyone try these yet?

They are not available in any stores, only ebay now at 3x-4x the cost.  Read that they do plan on stocking more sometime in the future.  But I can't see them staying in stock long unless they dramatically increase the price.  It will feel strange teeing up a Kirkland golf ball but hope I get the chance.

I'm also considering the new 180 pack of Kirkland daily wear contact lenses.

When are you going and how much were the credits?  I don't see any for Carnival and only $50 for Royal.  Although both give Costco cards
This was 4ish years ago.  We got something like $750 each ship credits on Royal.

Yeah,  I look every time I go and haven't seen them yet.

Yeah term rather large amount.

I will give it a look thanks.
Sure thing.  I found it as it was suggested years ago by a financial advisor.  You get paired with a broker in your area and they help you choose from a variety of insurance companies.  I ended up with Banner, and my wife ended up with TransAmerica.  Good rates.

Just did the online quote cheaper then my Costco quote. Thanks

Hot chicks over 50.

My wife shops there all the time when she buys in bulk or special sale items.  The other day we got our Passport photos taken at Costco.

Happy to help.  You have to be a bit cautious though because I believe the rates are dependent on getting specific results back on your exam...blood pressure, blood tests, etc.  Hope it works out for you!  Always good to comparison shop before you jump...so long as you make sure you're choosing a reputable company, you should be good.

An example why Costco is so great? You can be a hero on Valentine's Day in 1 trip.  Want roses? Get the best quality for ridiculously cheap prices.  Need jewelry? You can always pick up a bauble.  Prime steak.  Lobster tails.  Wine.  And a gal makes fresh chocolate dipped strawberries that are unbelievable.  Everything fantastic quality.

Just copped for $109 (plus $20 to rent a truck at Lowes).

I gotta buy a beater truck for stuff like this
Beater minivans are better. Rip the back seats out, throw down a horse mat (or not) and you have an awesome delivery vehicle that's better than a truck for 95% of things you'd need to haul for a fraction of the price. Craigslist is littered with cheap minivans for sale, usually only being sold because mom doesn't need one anymore because the kids are grown.

Actually, I've picked up two Sam's freezers over the past couple of months in my beater minivan.

Bought a 14lb pork shoulder from Costco. Went home and realized it was way too big for my slow cooker and two people that were supposed to come to my house just cancelled. Drove back to Costco 15 minutes after I bought it to get a refund. The guy tells me they just throw it out. I felt a little guilty

Pulled pork freezes well in ziploc bags. Can never have too much  :porked: on hand.

Cut it in half and freeze it.

Heading over to Costco to search through dumpsters.

ETA: I heard that if security comes around they are easy enough to hide under.

I was waiting in line at the Costco customer service desk, excited to be cashing in my big $180 reward for using the Citi credit card. The lady in front of me was doing the same thing. Her reward was $600!! Holy hell is she buying for the 3rd Army or something.

Anybody know of a way I could pay my mortgage or other bills with this card???

I pay 90% of my bills on my card. My reward was $400 this past year

Mine was 778   - LOOK AT ME

Mortgage and water bill are the only 2 I don't pay on the card.

I went to a register - becasue that's where they told me to go and the dude was like I can't cash that. He started paying all in 5 and 10's - I was like yeah no.

Finally the supervisor saw what was going on and pulled me to the side and took care of.

Excellent news.  Thought I was getting a great deal on that package when I paid $19 for it.  Will most definitely be reloading at $15.
Do these burn longer than the regular Kingsford Blue? I'm gonna use them this weekend on a brisket and pork butt using my WSM. I'm just wondering if I need a full load of these or if I can scale back some.

I haven't scientifically tracked it, but it sure seems like they do.  Had a lot of success with them on direct and indirect cooking.

I like to get the pair of bone-in shoulders (usually 14-16 lbs total at my local Costco), slice up enough of it to make a batch or two of Mu Ping Pork, then throw the rest in the crock pot for pulled pork/carnitas.  I've found the pulled pork freezes well - a ziploc portion out of the freezer, throw into a skillet with a little oil, add a few spices, really wakes up the flavor with a little charring and spice, doesn't taste like reheated meat at all.  These days at the house we like to go with a southwestern spice blend to go carnitas style, either make burritos with it or just toss it into a bowl with rice, veggies, cheese.

While everyone is at Costco this month they have Kingsford Competition Charcoal on sale. I got 2 18.9 lb bags for around $15. I haven't used this yet but will this coming weekend when doing a brisket and pork butt.
Finally, a sure sign spring has arrived.

Just do it full and shut off all the vents when you take the meat off.  It will go out and you can use what's left next time.
