I saw something about nitrogen on their siteSomeone tried to tell me that they put special air in the tires at Costco and that's why they have the green nuts on them. So stupid.
Anyway, +1 on good tire deals at Costco and no problems with the wait. Went with a co-worker at lunch and then picked it up at end of day.
The fill their tires with nitrogen. Apparently it is better, they say. You can add air to them if they run low.Someone tried to tell me that they put special air in the tires at Costco and that's why they have the green nuts on them. So stupid.

Well, since the air in the Earth's atmosphere is 78% nitrogen already, I really don't see how it could make any difference at all.The fill their tires with nitrogen. Apparently it is better, they say. You can add air to them if they run low.
They'll put a green valve stem cap on the tire when it's filled with nitrogen. I've heard all sorts of advantages, including the fact that nitrogen molecules are bigger, so the tire won't lose air as fast, the contraction/expansion thing you note above, and something about how nitrogen prevents moisture in your tires that you can get from normal air.Nitrogen is better cuz you're not supposed to lose that psi when it gets cold to when it's warm. it's supposed to maintain a constant PSI. Green lugnuts?
That's what I was thinking when someone cautioned me on pressurizing them with "normal air".Well, since the air in the Earth's atmosphere is 78% nitrogen already, I really don't see how it could make any difference at all.
Ok. Broniy said green nuts and I was totally confusedThey'll put a green valve stem cap on the tire when it's filled with nitrogen. If you've got green nuts, go to a doctor.Ok. Broniy said green nuts and I was totally confused
Thanks for the specifics. It sounds like the kind of difference that might be really significant during the Indy 500, but that only an engineer with serious OCD would care about when it comes to normal driving.
its been mentioned but i can never find itI don't know if that's already been posted or not either, but this is important news and worth repeating if previously mentioned. Have not partaken in this before; will be looking for it today.
It doesn't work. They do the same thing at the Hyundai dealership where I take my Sonata. Seems like a gimmick.Nitrogen is allegedly better cuz you're not supposed to lose that psi when it gets cold to when it's warm. it's supposed to maintain a constant PSI. Green lugnuts?
You could probably take a single bulb back, say they all burned out, and they'd say "we're really sorry about that" and refund your money. Costco is unreal for customer service. Can I make a return without a receipt? These are total ####.
I've had Discount tire beat their (and any online) deals.I shopped around and couldn't find anyone that came close to their prices (including mount/balance). The process for us was flawless - make appointment, drop off, called back when done.
Agree - I won't pay extra for it. If I was racing sure. Daily driver nahIt doesn't work. They do the same thing at the Hyundai dealership where I take my Sonata. Seems like a gimmick.
So I did it once. I'm convinced it broke my printer. A week after I got it done my printer spool locked up and there was some blank ink in the printer that looked like it leaked.Anybody used their ink jet cartridge refill service? Price looks great; do they work well?
That's one of the best thing about Costco. You don't need to keep your receipts for returns. Can I make a return without a receipt? These are total ####.
Have had that happen with a local refill service. Found out it is better to just pay the piper. Or go to your local library for 10 cents a sheet. So I did it once. I'm convinced it broke my printer. A week after I got it done my printer spool locked up and there was some blank ink in the printer that looked like it leaked.
Just my .02
Bought some after reading about it in this thread. One bag lasted less than two days. Need to stock up on this. Sooooo delicious. It's life-changing if you like jerky. I'm out of it at the moment, having eaten 4 packs in about a month.

Never buy a remanned/refilled inkjet cartridge. There are some good lasers out there but you need to be careful with that too. Never buy one that is just refilled. Thanks, @belljr & SLB. Saw it in their monthly flyer and was hoping it was as good a deal as it sounded like.Never buy a remanned/refilled inkjet cartridge. Plus HP and others are putting new security into their devices and cartridges so they won't accept compatibles so make sure you can return the laser cart if your printer won't accept it.
10g of sugar with each serving. It's better than some jerkies, but still annoying. I know jerky needs some sugar in it, but I sure wish I could find some sugar free stuff at Costco, no dice.I don't know if that's already been posted or not either, but this is important news and worth repeating if previously mentioned. Have not partaken in this before; will be looking for it today.
I hope that both of these are incorrect. Neither would surprise me though.they just auto renewed me for $110
I didn't know they did auto renewal. also I heard theyre raising the membership fees in may
Buy a dehydrator and make your own jerky. It's a simple process and the end result crushes anything you can get in a store.10g of sugar with each serving. do you hunt?Buy a dehydrator and make your own jerky. It's a simple process and the end result crushes anything you can get in a store.
Not anymore but I do have some friends that will give me venison. Otherwise the local store has buy one get one free London broil that makes good jerky.do you hunt?
You can check if you're set for auto renew online. You need to call or go to the counter if you are and want to cancel that.I hope that both of these are incorrect. Neither would surprise me though.
Membership rates are going up as of June 1. I just renewed and heard about that before I did so. I wasn't auto renewed and ended up renewing online when I had to renew. Better than waiting in line at the customer service desk.I hope that both of these are incorrect. Neither would surprise me though.
They always auto-renew on the Costco CC, without it they will add it the first time you are checking out after the expiration.I hope that both of these are incorrect. Neither would surprise me though.
not seeing it in the mailer and I just finished my box last nightGot a coupon for the kirkland protein bars. The chocolate chip cookie dough is impressive, considering how hard it is to get a good tasting bar together. They are pretty dense like quest bars, but not as much and they actually have good flavor (unlike quest)

chocolate browine is bland AF
Bought some Chef's Cut Steak Jerky at Costco recently. They were running a special so bought some and find it really tasty. Also like that the pieces are not dried out at all.I don't know if its already been posted or not, but the Golden Island brand Korean Barbecue Pork Jerky is f-ing FANTASTIC.
what's this now?Ned said:Anyone try the 25% off order through Google Express yet?
Might have been a "new member" mailer I got. I just reengaged my old membership since I just moved from a no Costco area. Also got a coupon for a free bag of kirkland steak strip jerky, which was p ####### good. Not much sugar in that either, for jerky (5g/oz).not seeing it in the mailer and I just finished my box last night![]()
good snack
We got a thing in the mail offering 25% our first order through Google Express. You apparently can get most things that Costco carries via Google Express with free overnight shipping. Seems too good to be true, but I may give it a shot.what's this now?
I spent my entire check on booze, gambling and other deviant activities. One of my favorite Costco days of the year happened today.
Executive Member Rebate Check Arrival Day.
Usually avoid Costco on Easter Weekend, but I'll be there Monday to re-up on that charcoal deal and get some meats for the next week or three.
We're having our first 80-degree days, so that means getting the Costco tower fans out of storage and into the living areas. We have several of them, and they save us a bunch in housecooling costs.
Wonder if this coupon works on Costco vacations? We got a thing in the mail offering 25% our first order through Google Express. You apparently can get most things that Costco carries via Google Express with free overnight shipping. Seems too good to be true, but I may give it a shot.
