Meet me on the Walt Whitman Bridge at midnight to jump en masse.

Seriously, is anyone as depressed as I am right now (still, five hours after the worst loss I can remember)?

I'll be there and I'll bring (pick from the following: Andy Reid, Trent Cole, David Akers, Donte Stallworth, LJ Smith, Donovan McNabb, Joselio Hanson, Sheldon Brown, Michael Lewis) with me.

I am right there with you, but this is not as bad as that loss on Monday night a few years back when they were going for the game winning field goal against Dallas and snap was fumbled. This loss is #2 on the list. They missed an excellent opportunity to dictate how this division was going to be won.

I love it. No Westbrook when he's probably the guy that made the most costly mistake of the game.

This is one of those times where I'm glad I'm a displaced Eagles fan in Packers country, and don't get to see many of the games. God, I hate this team sometimes. I wish I could just turn off my rooting for them and pick a better team, but I'm an Eagles fan in my heart and can't change that. One of my earliest sports memories is the Eagles making me cry (literally) when they lost the Super Bowl against the Raiders. And its been 25 years of tears since.

Anybody else getting annoyed trying to watch the Sunday night game when the announcers just can't stop talking about the Eagles. Maybe I'm just sensitive to it, but they keep seeming to find ways to work in "And how about that Eagles-Giants game" and "At halftime you'll hear all about that shocking Eagles loss" and "Talking about the standings, what about that huge comback by the Giants". I don't know if I can stomach any more. At least people in this area can't give me crap, with the Packers showing today.

Hopefully, the Eagles can fix what went wrong (mainly lack of discipline). Cut out the fooling around crap. There's a difference between having fun with the game and being careless. But even past all that, maybe the Eagles just don't have the same swagger they did in the past. It's just one loss but I kind of half-expected the Eagles to choke when they needed to close things out. If I'm starting to expect that, then there's a problem.

You are getting a small taste of how i felt last week when gmen lost to Indy. I was depressed the whole week, this helps but we obviously need to improve as well.

Giants still suck. They were lucky to get out of Philly with the win. Will you still be :towelwave: when they are 1-7 after 8 games?

yeah, no worries for the Iggles, next time they see the g-men this season the eagles will be eyeing the playoffs and the big old giants will be vying for draft position next year. two planes leaving this weekend for the west coast, one to Seattle, the other to SF, my boys aren't going to Seattle I know that.

Seattle didn't look too impressive against either Detroit or Arizona, both of them far less talented teams than my g-men IMO. I think they can pull one out in Seattle after coming off this huge come from behind victory.

Could not disagree with this statement more. Was his fumble costly? Hell yes. But was it the most costly? No. No. No. I'll start with Andy Reid. OK, let's go for it on 4th-and-1, from about the 40, with just enough time left that if we screw it up, the Giants are in a good position. OK, if you want to go for it, fine. THIS IS WHY WE NEED A BIG RB. That said, RUN A FREAKING QUARTERBACK SNEAK. When they lined up for this play, I thought this was the call. Follow Jamaal Jackson. How about we blame Trent Cole? Kicking a man while he's down is always genius, especially when it turns a 45-yard field goal into a 30-yard chip shot. What exactly are we blaming David Akers for? Crushing a 49-yard FG that would have been good from 60 if it was 6 inches to the left? No.Donte Stallworth and LJ Smith? Some blame. Each dropped a catchable pass. Each had good games, though, so their blame is reduced.Donovan? Please. Yeah, he clowned around on one play and it cost them 5 yards. He's the main reason we had a 24-7 lead in the first place.Joselio Hanson? Yeah, he was exposed as not ready for prime time. He shouldn't be in that position, though. Sheldon Brown? Michael Lewis? Not sure which one I want to blame more on the first TD. Ultimately, I think this loss falls squarely on Andy Reid's shoulders for going for it on 4th-and-1 and then calling a bad play. I also think he's too quick to pass the ball when time is on our side, but I'll give him a small break on that since I watched Bill Belichick do the same thing in the 4:15 game against the Jets.

Right, the Seatle team that put up 9 points on detroit is going to beat us? You guys are pathetic too for being happy your shedule is cake and ours is one of the hardest. Eagles fans are trash for the most part and dont have a tenth of the respect the Giants do in the NFL. Keep bragging about the 9ers next week, i hear the playoff teams tend to be more challenging even if you do make the wild card.

Let's hope your kicker doesn't choke again in Seattle......

Thats my point. It was really not one person's fault. The whole team contributed to this giant F-up. Overall, I can live with a loss but the injuries are killer. Kearse is injured (dunno how long but it looked serious to me). Hood got injured, Lito is injured. That secondary will be a weakness if Hood is out. More to be upset about than just a check in the loss column today.
