Austin Collie - Any updates (1 Viewer)

well I just cut bait was well. Took a stab at Young Baby Hawk and have been impressed so far. Think he is going to turn into a excellent Bye week filler of flex play. Still not ready to write him off just yet but will monitor closely.

last year has nothing to do with this year, Painter was bad enough to throw those stats out. last time he had a good qb collie pushed for best fantasy wr at times. if you've waited on him this long it's silly to cut him now as he's getting his best news of the season. you might be losing a top 15 wr

Collie just can't stay healthy enough to make a difference. I hope the Colts don't have a lot of money invested in him. They need to let him go.

As a Colts fan this is sad news. I hope he's made enough money to do something post-football. As others have said, maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

Get well soon #17.

why does he need money to do something post-football?
OK, you change your careers right now and take a 90% pay cut but try to continue your current lifestyle. Can you do it?Go ahead and tell me how. Many of these guys buy houses, cars, etc. and then are 'married' to the game longer than they should be.I couldn't survive a 80-90% pay cut and maintain my mortgage. But, I'm not as smart as most.

oh, you're saying you hope he's made enough money to maintain his current lifestyle for the rest of his life? stuff happens. tough break, but i don't feel bad for him if he's forced to adjust and live like the rest of us.

Why does he have to continue his current lifestyle? NFL players know the score going into the league; the average career is about 3 years... plan accordingly. I wish him the best, but I don't agree that it's important he have made enough to live an extravagant lifestyle for the rest of his life. If he has to go out and work that's great, he'll probably be successful at something else, no reason he has to be uberrich though.

You are reading an awful lot into what I said, but you win.
