Baby names (1 Viewer)

Need a middle name to go with "Elizabeth". Our last name is long as well, so something short is preferred. Unique is ok.

Give me some good suggestions so my wife doesn't get her way and we use "Shae". :yucky:

friend of mine was given the middle name of a certain 70s cartoon character. it's not just a middle name when you're in elementary/high school.that said, i don't dislike it but that may have more to do with my ongoing moopscrush than anything

Please corroborate with one other couple who has either considered this name or actually given it to their kid so I can add it to the list.Same goes for James so I can add it to the girls' list. Give me a break.eta: Make the middle name Jamie or something.
Zed. Please go to your own stupid thread and leave this one alone. Thanks.

Not sure why we have two stupid baby name threads, but ok.So what's wrong with the Jamie idea?

We all liked the single, city-living Otis better. The suburbs have really brought you down several notches.

And Cedar isn't a bad name actually.

Elizabeth Ann seems to be the best bet not knowing your last name...

This is my favorite as well. It is also my wife's middle name, which I think is neat, but she's never been a fan. She may be coming around though.Recently suggested by me:Elizabeth ClaireElizabeth MaeAlso suggested Marie the other day, but that got nixed immediately.

I know a couple that has 3 boys named Mason, Miles, and Daxton. Good luck finding bicycle license plates for those kids.

Go with Elizabeth Greer.

1. Logan: A combination of my wife's name and my favorite aunt's name, and a kickass comic hero.

2. Andrew: the church we were married.

3. Parker: we just like the name, and another kickass comic hero

4. Sawyer: wife liked the name, I quickly realized it's a combination of Soldier / Lawyer, took us 4 tries but this is my favorite name.

Mason and Miles aren't all that uncommon. Send pickles furley (sorry) a PM, he can give you their rankings.
Mason = #34 with a bulletMiles = #162 and also skyrocketing
your confusion is understood.. Pickles often masquerades as me

Strange family dynamic when poor little Andrew is the one who hangs his head in shame.

I get at least one phone call a week at work that goes like this:

Me: Engineering dept, this is Andrew (the name I go by).

Caller: Uh, um, I was looking for Nathan.

Me: This is Nathan.

Caller: But you said this was Andrew.

Me: It is, my name is Nathan Andrew.

Caller: Ohh

I had to correct every schoolteacher I ever had, and any official documentation has to include full name since I don't go by my first name. My kids will absolutely be called by their first names...

Only if you go with Hawk as the middle name... or not- it's pretty much implied.Wife and I toyed with using a street name from our neighborhood- Avea (Ave A), Essex (I knew would end up with kid being called Sexy their whole life), Rivington, First Avenue. The wife also wanted to name him- no ####- after Bono (U2, not Sonny) and call him Hewson.

Hmmmm... but are you going to call her June-bug?Due date is coming up pretty fast, right? We've got a girl coming too and so far it looks like it's going to alliterate with our son's name... not sure how I feel about that. Especially considering his name already alliterates with both of our last names (hyphenated).

So you go by your middle name but no one calling engineering knows that?
