***BAL at CLE*** (-3) O/U 42.5 (1 Viewer)

Cleveland 26, Baltimore 12

Cleveland's banged up, but coming off a bye. Their backs are against the wall and I expect them to be much sharper than they were two weeks ago.

Baltimore has 17 players on IR and only 8 guys who were projected starters before the season started playing today. They can hold the ball for long stretches, but can't score. The defense looked gassed in the second half against the Stillers last week even though they had only been on the field for 6 minutes in the first half.

It's not a bad take but I think the fact you root for the Ravens, this might not be as impartial as some might think.

The browns are 6-6 for a reason, Baker Mayfield can keep any opponent in the game and the longer Baltimore hangs around the better their odds to win. I'm surprised Cleveland is favored but it's hard for to write something like Balt 21 Cleveland 20

Baltimore 21...Cleveland 20, Division leader getting points vs a shaky QB, should be an interesting afternoon, one of the more compelling 1:00 games

anything less than 30 rushes for CLE and baltimore wins

losing some patience with coach... give the ball to your TWO stud RBs and ride them to victory. let baker cook on some play action.

i want a 3:1 run to pass ratio. i said it.

The Ravens have been, by far, the luckiest team in the league. They have played much closer to 4-8 than 8-4. There's a reason they are underdogs in this game.

Their only chance to win is if Jackson gets his mojo back. He's been slumping horribly the last month or so, I suspect because he thinks he has to carry the team (Narrator: he does). Baltimore has an advantage at QB, ST, and coaching - that's it.

I'm not sandbagging or doing some dumb reverse-jinx with my pick. They'll play hard, but Cleveland is more talented, and they are well-rested with their season on the line.

Jimmy Smith out, which means the Ravens are going with their CB4 (behind Humphrey, Peters, Smith) and CB 6 (behind Tavon Young who will play slot) on the outside. Feels like the Ravens will go with the same D game plan as last time and dare Baker to beat them, but this time Humphrey isn't there.

Ricard out, which means Baltimore's terrible O Line will be even worse. I'm thinking Browns 17-13 in a game that's over by 3:45, maybe a bit more if Cleveland gets a pick-6 or strip sack. Ravens are going to have to try to steal this one like they tried vs. Pittsburgh. Fans are clamoring for some no-huddle offense, but that would contradict the way they seemingly have to win this game which is to play ball control. Would love to see some short, 5-yard passes for Lamar and make teams for playing a deep shell zone behind all the blitzes he's been seeing.

Dawgs By Nature@DawgsByNature

Be interesting to see if Baltimore decides to blitz a lot today to help cover up the back end.

Jamison Hensley@jamisonhensley

Ravens CB Jimmy Smith is a healthy scratch at Cleveland. Smith was full participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He was given rest day Friday. With Marlon Humphrey on IR, Baltimore's CBs today: Anthony Averett, Chris Westry, Tavon Young, Kevon Seymour and Robert Jackson.

Isn't Nick Boyle out, too? I hope Lamar has all of his papers in order, because Garrett and Clowney are gonna have a field day. The Ravens probably should play Huntley, just to save Jackson from himself.

Shows why you should just chuck it up deep on the outside, like Ben did in the 4th quarter vs Minnesota. You're going to get the call more often than not, even if you don't catch it

Stefanski really doesn't want to run the ball vs Baltimore, huh?

It's kind of mindboggling
That might change.

#Ravens six-time Pro Bowl DE Calais Campbell walked slowly to sideline with medical personnel with 7:54 left in 1Q

That 2nd PI call was not good. The one on Averett was legit.

everybody keeps saying the Browns need to run the ball but they just can’t against the Ravens.

maybe they’ll wear them down eventually, but you can’t just run the ball three times and punt.

“The angle of the sun is messing with them”

did the Browns not factor the sun in when they built the ####### stadium?

How many times will the Ravens' DBs simply choose to let another team's WR run uncovered through the secondary? The limit does not exist

Baltimore Beatdown@BmoreBeatdown

It's Week 14 and cornerbacks still are double-covering one guy and leaving another wide open. I get there's been so many personnel changes that it gets mixed up but it's happening weekly.

QadryIsmail@IamQadryIsmail

It baffles me how the Ravens secondary continues to miscommunicate their responsibilities

Lamar turnover incoming as he locks onto a double-covered Andrews 3 yards past the line of scrimmage while Bateman runs uncovered downfield

Baltimore Beatdown@BmoreBeatdown

L. Jackson: 3/3 for 12 yards passing and 2 carries for 5 yards. D.

Freeman 2 rush for 10 yards.

That's 27 yards in the first, folks.

Shouldn't that have been a flag for hitting a QB low?

At any rate, I wouldn't bring him back into this game even if he's ok. Just take the L and get out of here because this offense has no clue

This!

I see Jackson take a lot of abuse other QBs never have to take, some of it due to his style of play I guess? Aren't flags the same for all?

-I don't think Jackson is going to have a long career and I think the Ravens are wise to that as well, just don't see them giving him a lifetime contract or deal like other QBs seem to get...to my knowledge they picked up the 5th Year and no 2nd Contract is firmly in place but maybe I'm wrong.

John Harbaugh wasn't lying last week when he said they went for 2 because they were out of corners.

Jake Trotter@Jake_Trotter

Baker Mayfield so far: 14 of 16, 126 yards, 2 TDs, no turnovers #Browns

They had Jimmy Smith then

Lamar injury might have saved Roman's job until the end of the season. The way things were going before he got hurt, I honestly think he might have gotten the Cam Cameron in-season firing treatment. If he's hurt, the season is over anyway so might as well wait until the end

LOL dude this game is over. Ravens could play for a week and not score 17 points

Such a smart play by the kick returner. I always think teams should do that more.
Have you not seen the Browns piss away games with ease for the last 20 years??

Baltimore 8-5

Cincinnati 8-5...my prediction today

Cleveland 7-6...still have a big hill to climb to get INTO the PLAYOFFS and Baker keeps helping Ravens stay in this game.

Pittsburgh 6-6-1, might not win another game

Cincinnati will win this Division with 10 wins, we'll wait to see what the extent of the injury is for Jackson but if he misses time they lose those football games IMHO. Browns will go 9-8 and miss, only 1 team from the AFC North looks to make it at this point, I think.

Baker's trying his best to make it a game but the non-existent Ravens' offense is actually now putting points on the board for Cleveland, so I'm pretty sure they're safe
