Vile was a member of The War on Drugs through their first albumJust fired up Kurt Vile on Spotify - "Wakin on a Pretty Day". It doesn't happen often, but I could tell 4 seconds in I was going to like this. I haven't heard another track yet am only a few minutes into this one and the sound reminds me of the band War on Drugs and I like them a lot.
So far, this is great.

good stuff, I hadn't heard about this album but I'll definitely grab it - thanks!Steve Mason - Monkey Minds in the Devil's Time may end right up there in the top 5 for AOTY for me.
Seen It All Before
Really enjoying this one. Not the most exciting stuff out there, but it hits me right in the sweet spot. Good stoner music and the > 6 minute songs are highly appreciated by me. And yeah, most of the songs sound the same and I'm okay with that. War on Drugs works for me too. Happy with this discovery. Thank you good citizens of the FFA.Wow, how about that. The Mavericks' "In Time" comes out this Tuesday. I got the UK version which came out in January. If you don't want to get the whole album, I recommend these songs:Back In Your Arms AgainLiesCome Unto MeAs Long As There's Loving TonightDance In The MoonlightThose are all more upbeat songs. I love their old slow stuff like I Should Have Been True and Missing You, but just can't get into the ballads on this record except for Call Me When You Get To Heaven. The guys will also be on Leno next Friday, March 1. Not sure what they will play, but I would guess Come Unto Me since that's what they played on the Americana awards and the song was also featured on "Nashville."
Wow, don't know how I didn't know these guys had a new album coming out. Diggin these first two tracks big time.Queens of the Stoneage ...Like Clockwork is shaping up to be amazing, second single released and its just great.

Found one song on YouTube that was abysmal. The guy's getting a lot of love, but I haven't gone any further with him.Any thoughts on Chance the Rapper Acid Rap?Good Posting Judge said:Vampire Weekend 9.3, more like 0.3 am I right or what guys.
Streaming for Free on iTunes right now.Ted Lange as your Bartender said:The new Daft Punk album was leaked and is on Grooveshark.Different than what I was expecting. I think it'll take a few listens to grow on people, but I'm liking it the more I listen to it.
Listening to this right now. Enjoying it a lot. This album, 180, by the Palma Violets. It's the ####. I would like to take it out for a seafood dinner.
lol... love this song. even with the monologueThe new Daft Punk album has been better than expected, if I could find a clean version of Giorgio without the monologue it would be one of their best songs, shifts from disco, to funk to techno, to rock in like 5 minutes just great. Lose yourself to dance is al
so amazing.
Wampire's Curiosity is pretty good.
Really dig the 2-3 songs from the album I've heard so far.Yes.Debstup exploded and then collapsed cause there was maybe a handful of talented artists in the genre, then all the hipsters fell back on house music with Daft Punk being the biggest recipient. M83 and MSTRKRFT got noticeably more popular as well.Synth and Electronica as genres have become much more popular.Did Daft Punk just get insanely massive between albums? I don't remember them being this big.

When did MSTRKRFT get big? Because they played at a local university block party here just last year. Though I suppose it's possible they just did it to #### university chicks.Yes.Debstup exploded and then collapsed cause there was maybe a handful of talented artists in the genre, then all the hipsters fell back on house music with Daft Punk being the biggest recipient.
