Best sign at the Cowboys vs. Eagles game? (1 Viewer)

Actually, Eagles were the NFL champions in 1948, '49, '60 - pre-superbowl era. Of course, most Cowboys fans are eluded by this fact... either that or they just like to show their mastery at arithmetic by counting to "5" superbowls :D
Wow, the Eagles and Cleveland Browns absolutley dominated during the Eisenhower adminstration. Congrats! You guys should party together!
And that's what I was pointing out - history is just that... HISTORY.

not a sign, but I liked the O-D chant going before the 1PM games, sang to the toon of the soccer song ole, ole, ole, ole...

Best sign at the Cowboys vs. Eagles game...

One of the reasons you have not seen as many good signs at the Linc compared to the Vet...

Banners & Signs

Signs must be handheld, event-related, in good taste and cannot obstruct another Guest’s view. They may not contain commercial messages, logos or political endorsements and may not be hung on the stadium structure. Signs on poles or sticks, constructed of wood or metal material, are also not permitted. Management reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of stadium policy.
This started when we moved into the Linc, didn't have it at the Vet.

I was at the game...it was INSANE! Dallas fans who wore jersey's got ABUSED! I was on the 40yd line, upper, upper level...there were a few Cowgirl fans down about 10 rows in front of me who had beers poured on them. When security finally came up, they ejected the one cowboy fan. The other one refused to sit down and people started spitting on him and throwing beers and other stuff at him. He was finally taken out of the seats after about 5 minutes of being tortured.

For those that weren't there, could you hear the "O.D, O.D, O.D," chants? The WHOLE stadium was doing it. Truely an amazing game to be at. Spent $1100 on 4 tickets and it was worth every penny.

when you say cowgirl fans - were they guys and you're just calling them "cowgirls" or were they women cowboy fans? Some things you just don't do - one of them is wear an opposing teams jersey at a home eagles game. Fox showed at least twice some fans in the stands wearing cowboys attire. One was a big black guy wearing a Cowboys jersey. He looked like he was in the front row. He also looked like a guy you didn't want to start anything with.edit to add - yes I did hear the OD, OD chant on TV and the camera showed McNabb and a few other players reactions while on the bench during the chant. McNabb's reaction was a combination of  :P  :lmao:

Sounds like a great time. Abusing fans of a game, demeaning participants of the game, and spending loads of money to do it. Wish I would have been there. :sarcasm:

Haven't seen much of this behavior at the Linc compared to the old days in the Vet.Plus they having double security there leads me to question if you're just trying to :stirspot:

The Cowgirl fans were guys...

And Kev...I didn't spend money to abuse fans, I spent money to watch T.O. and a division rival get beat. I for one just chanted "a**hole" along with the other 50K fans when a stupid Dallas fan walked by in a jersey. That's not abuse, it's dumb on their part. Don't come to a town where Cowboys are hated more then any other team and expect NOT to get abused.

E.A.G.L.E.S. EAGLES!!!

I can't wait to see the crowd after TO gets his first TD and we're up by 17. "Wow, they're a little bit better than the 49ers and Packers."
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: So true. Be funny seeing the Eagles against an NFL-caliber team.
True enough. Too bad we're still waiting ... :bye: Hindsight sign:

4 tickets to the game: $1100

5 T.O. Jerseys to burn (any team): $100

36 Dozen eggs: $50

3 rec / 45 yards / 1 screaming, moping, cursing WR: PRICELESS

You paid $1100 to see TO, but the seats were in the "upper, upper level". And, oh by the way, you also had a chance to yell a**hole at a Cowboys fan. Sounds like money well spent to me!You could have seen TO closer on TV. So in essence, you spent $1100 to yell a**hole at a Cowboys fan. Way to go!

 Must be a Dallas fan. I take it you've never been to the Linc...there's really no bad seats in the house. And being on the 40yd line gave me a perfect overhead view of the game. Must be a Cowboys fan, because apparently you can't read either. I'll say it again, "I spent money to watch T.O. and a divsion rival get beat." The yelling at Cowboy fans was an added bonus. :D

WRONG! Try again.I am an Eagles fan and I would NEVER pay $1100 for any game. You mean to tell me that you couldn't watch the game on TV, see TO, and watch a divisional rival get beat? I did! And guess what? I didn't have to spend $1100 to do it.

You're a joke...what are you 90 years old? I paid $280 for my ticket...the day before the game, the same tickets were going for $500. Maybe you're just jealous, I don't know...but being an Eagles fan, you're not very passionate for the game/atmosphere. And from the tone of your email...sounds like you're a struggling for some cash. If you need to borrow a little cash, I can drop it off to your box in North Philly. Now get off my d*ck and go back to your box you call a home. Oh and get off the Eagles bandwagon, we don't want you.

have you seen the price of tickets in markets where the season ticket waiting list is longer than oyu or i might live?$275 per ticket is the going ratego check on stubhubupperdeck tix for the tennessee game are almost $200sure you can watch a game on tv and see more detailbut nothing compares to the atmosphere of being there, united w/ the stadiumchills.if that type of scene doesnt get your blood pumping then you should stay at home b/c you obviously wont get your $$$ worth

I was at the game as well, and it was probably the loudest I ever heard it. Hearing "OD, OD OD OD....." was absolutely awesome!!!! TV just could not do it justice as it resonated throught the stadium! Most signs are not allowed in..... most of the good ones mentioned were seen in the lot before the game...........Also, some really great bonfires burning various Cowboy items before and after the game!

Best I personally saw were.......

"T.O. if at first you don't succeed"

............. But the best thing I saw was a blow up doll with a T.O. jersey on with pill bottles taped to each hand and a vibrator taped to his mouth!

Agree with the other posters. Nothing beats being at the stadium. I can only imagine seeing the long TD passes and seeing Baskett open and the ball in the air to him. <goosebumps>

Dallas fans are just mad because they realize that without a legitimate QB they won't win the big games it doesn't matter who they line up at WR.

To be fair..You had/have a legitimate QB and still couldn't win the BIG game./just sayin/Dolphins fan :bag:

The place went nuts.... equally crazy on the Brown touchdown, but I can't even describe it on Lito's touchdown........ Pandemonium.........

I am not a fan of either team. but sounds like to me that the eagles fans in and out of the stadium are jealous of dallas because of their success. note they should be 5 bowls to 0

Back to the topic

it was mentioned earlier but the best sign in the parking lot was a giant laminated one with a picture of T.O. in the corner and written underneath "If at first you don't succeed...." followed by pictures of a gun, a noose, a knife, empty bottles of pills and a car crashing into a wall.

Gotta love it.

Oh and the short but sweet one, scrawled crookedly in drunk sharpie in the parking lot

"TO, Go Kill Yourself" carried by a guy stumbling every few steps, following a guy in a Cowboys 81 jersey all the way across the parking lot. Gotta love drunk wit.

thats ######edhave you ever heard of division rivalry?why do we hate giants fans and redskins fans and why do they hate us?its because its the most heated division in footballeveryone wants everyone else's blood.

a dolphins fan knows what thats about for sure.now where the hell are my isotoners?

The fact that the Eagles have not won anything in 46 years actually shows how passionate the fans are here. It is easy to cheer for a team that is good and has won multiple superbowls. How many other places would just stop cheering for their home team if they were not good? Or stop showing up?

As for the battery throwing...

We have our fair share of idiots...

but so do many teams. No one talks about the beers thrown at Browns games or bottles thrown even last week at the Jets game. It's just easy to see a few idiots and assume that all of Philly are that way. That is just plain stupid.

So go ahead an be ignorant if you want...
