To be clear, it's connecting to the crypto project websites I'm worried about leaving me vulnerable, not my pr0n surfing which I assure you is very classy.

For instance some lower tier projects like I was looking at some Dao forks.  As I understand it connecting my metamask to their website to stake their crappy dao fork with 3 trillion % APY could leave me vulnerable since I'm connecting my metamask to superl337dao or whatever to try and get in early.  Would a hardware wallet project me from that?

That and EFI still aren't listed on any prominent centralized exchange and unfortunately you'll have to pay high gas fees to purchase on uniswap or sushiswap.

Always look at youtube for a tutorial. FTX is a solid exchange though unavailable in NY. That link walks through using usdt which is what I wanted to do. It was one of the easier purchases I've made. Nice gains already. Fees were were under $20 through the process.

They shut down in September but there was a developers chat on telegram for almost a year. It's where I got the dirt on Charles and started selling ADA. Freelancing devs who can get the jobs they want do not like him one bit. Call him a fraud and a bully and a liar and and and. Said Cardano was so slow to develop because good devs won't play his games, bla bla bla. Then mods fought over what devs should and shoudn't reveal and boom, closed the room.

Solana is available on basically any exchange.  Coinbase probably the easiest.

If you give a degenerate dapp permissions it can reach into your wallet and clean it out.  Couple thoughts - Research on RugDoc to see how risky that project is.  Be vigilant about killing old contacts.  Use two instances of Metamask - one with the cold wallet for safe stuff and a hot instance for the degen stuff.  That way things are compartmentalized.  

Also, from my reading a site that has been hacked is likely to be hacked again.  Those should always go on a permanent red list.

Thx, I think they have some of the higher fees for transactions. Was looking at Robinhood as it looks like they have no fees.  Is that possible with all others having minimal fees of .99 to upwards of 4.5% on coinbase.

Coinbase Pro is cheaper. It’s a separate app but is linked to regular coinbase.

AVAX and EGLD have been on quite a tear.  I hit my 2x profit target on avax, so sold 16% of my position this am.  Now I'm getting close on EGLD.  

ETA - Alex Becker has been talking about MOVR and expects a big move there soon.  That's one you can find on Kucoin.

Long term, yes.  Short term, I'm not a huge fan of jumping in after stuff has pumped.  This one hasn't pumped as hard as other meta plays like MANA, SAND, and WILD so it's less risky than those at the moment.  I may start nibbling now that I know I don't have to pay crazy transaction fees on SUSHI.

I dabbled in this during the few days it was available on Coinbase. It's now not tradeable, but it's sitting in my account saying the value is $9,000 even though I only bought $250 worth.

I’ve had no issues. I have experience with a bunch and Coinbase Pro is just fine. You won’t have access to the degen, early stage stuff but everything available on Coinbase is available there. And after a week or so you can withdraw it into Regular Coinbase if you prefer.  If it’s a crypto with an APY you’ll have to do that to earn.

I went through the same thing with NFTs; complete mental exhaustion.  It's like someone stuffed me in one of those gameshow containers and had me grabbing $100 bills.  After a few weeks I became a zombie and no longer had interest in grabbing the money.  I've since settled down and am content just letting my current stuff ride (for the most part).  There are a couple projects I'm in that give me access to other things, but other than that I'm content just chilling.  

The psychology of trading, especially in this space, is very difficult.  Learning how to distance yourself from the emotional attachment of wins and losses is not easy and the reason why most fail.  

Good luck on your efforts to step away.  It's healthy and you'll come back refreshed and more clear headed.

So now I have a bunch of USDT stuck in my wallet and am trying to figure out the fastest, cheapest way to get the darn things out of hock.  Every step costs so much damn money.  This is going to be an expensive lesson.

Got in. A whopping $10 of LTC I guess I transferred most everything over to ETH and out of Kucoin then quit using it. Just traded it for $10 worth of MOVR though. Lambos?

I think this is a really good point. Time. You need a lot of time if you want to make smart decisions and try to understand everything in this web3/crypto/nft/defi universe.

I initially did it because I don't want to be left behind in Tech. I've worked in software / digital marketing and I want to stay ahead of the curve. That’s why there will be few winners (some maybe already having public stock) and mostly losers. I think I noticed an article that said there are more coins now than stocks (maybe just on the big exchanges). Most have probably been created in the past few years so there’s likely tons more coming. I can just imagine the horror @Sand will be going through trying to move his coins through five different exchanges, 4 wallets, 15 different coins and 3 NFTs when the crypto market has an actual bad day.

No NFTs here.  Most are crayon drawings by third graders.  DeFi, yes.  Which is way, way easier, right?  (just like the old poker days, the money is just waiting to be picked up off the ground.  Just gotta figure out the system so it can be picked up.)

ETA:  Vast majority of my stuff is either in GBTC/ETHE in Fidelity or stuffed into Celsius/Blockfi for 9% on USDC.  The stocks/bonds of the crypto world.  The small degen account is for the rest of this stuff.
