I get that the SB has always been in warmer climates, because of reasons x,y,and z, but the SB was never "meant" to be played in balmy warm conditions.
Meaning: The SB wasn't specially created to be played in warmer climates, where if it was played in colder climates it wouldn't work. Analogy: Household scissors were
meant to cut paper, not rocks. The SB was never
meant to be played in specific climate conditions, it just always has for a laundry list of reasons.
