Ok, since everyone is clamoring for the 100, Ill field some questions about my thoughts on rookie situations in this thread until lunchtime, and maybe some in the afternoon.
shoot.
shoot.
He can stretch the field with his deep speed from day one, but I don't him to play a central role. One thing to watch especially closely here is the negotiations with Deion Branch. If for some reason the Pats talks with Branch break down in the long run, Jackson could be set up be a true #1.Chad Jackson's rookie impact? With Givens gone, how much can he add to New England's offense this year?
TIA.

Norwood. He should get a good shot to take over for Dunn soon.Calhoun vs Humes vs Norwood - Who has the better dynasty outlook to truly produce?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
LOVE jennings. He has a chance to be a #1 a la Derrick Mason down the line. He's 4th after Jackson/Holmes/Moss - really just about equal with Marshall.post-draft thoughts on WR- Greg Jennings (situation in Green Bay and higher than expected draft position)
Also, where do you rank Greg Jennings amongst the rookie WR's now (who's above and below him)
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Starting in Cedrick Wilson's role last year and eventually taking over ARE's role. Reid will probably get more time on return teams than Holmes. How do you see Holmes fitting in the Steeler's plans this year, especially since he'll be getting a late start? KR, slot, WR2? What do think about his effect on the Steelers offense since he can stretch the field? Thanks!
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Lewis could be top 10, but not special because he lacks the speed to make huge plays, although he could be a top red zone target (double digit TDs last year at UCLA). Klopfenstein could crack the top 10 eventually because Linehan likes to use the TE and sought him out.Garrett Mills is a deep sleeper to watch - i have to keep saying it, he's got one of the best sets of hands in the entire draft and was ultraproductive in college.what te's other than davis have a shot to be really special top 10 type players?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
SimsGreenwayWhat order would you rank the following?
Brandon Marshall
Demetrius Williams
Ernie Simms
Chad Greenway
Greg Jennings
Klopfenstien
Manny Lawson
Tony Schefler

Nope. he's pushing blaylock out. expect a high draft pick or FA RB next year unless Houston go nuts this year.
Avant is a possession WR, but he's polished, so yes he could make an impact very soon.Smith has the open field quickness and dedication to make the move. I doubt he's anything more than a novelty player for this year, but watch his development closely. What do you think of Brad Smith as a WR in NY? He is a great athlete and making the conversion from QB, but do you expect him to be in the mix for time at WR3 this year?
Also, pretty much the same question about Jason Avant in Philly, does he unseat Lewis or Pinkston and contrtibute right away?
Thanks,
B. Nugget

He's still in the top 10. The WRs all fell. It was a bloodbath for WRs and RBs in this draft, teams were obsessed with line and defense on the first day.explain the fall of Demetrius Williams in the draft.
Because of this how far did he fall in your rankings for WR's?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I would move up slightly if a top 15 guy falls to the 20-21-22 pick, depending on your team need. i see a dropoff around #20.i have only the 23rd, 26th, 29th and 33rd picks.
Should I try and move up or hold tight.
No IDP and no-TE Required

I still have VY slightly ahead. Im getting a little worried about Leinart's bust potential with the way he's acting. Not very, but a little.Leinart's situation should definitely move him up the draft board, but does it move him ahead of VY?
Of course that q goes to people that had VY ahead of Leinart in the first place.

Maroney. I see Dillon's 2004 numbers and love that situation. Dallas and Indy were hot for him on draft day, that should tell you something.except:
best opportunity:TJackson has the tools but is raw.Outside of Leinart, Young and Cutler do any of the other QB's have a realistic chance to become a viable starter in the NFL?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I still like him in the 4th round of rookie drafts. Stallworth seems to have fallen out of favor and Horn is old. I expect Hass to blow away the coaching staff in camp and fight Henderson for the WR3 slot.Love that spot for sure, after Kennison moves on there's no real #1 there. I would keep an eye on him and Cro Thorpe there. I still think Webb is soft and dont expect him to succeed in the NFL.Many of us had our eye on Mike Hass. Now he's in New Orleans. What do you think?
I know you weren't high on Jeff Webb. Now he's in Kansas City. Have to love the spot (remember that PM mentioning KC?). What do you think?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
sorry SLB. But he should be a 3 down LB unlike DJ. DJ will be a stud again eventually, dont worry.Everyone in IDP wants to know. Do you think AJ Hawk will play WLB or SLB?
This is very important. Ask DJ Williams.

bullocks is a safe pick for depth, but i dont see top 10 upside.Pollard is interesting because he could be an in the box safety or chase WLB.Hey Bloom one more for your brain:
Do you see any Kerry Rhodes in here due tyo situation or talent????
Looking for someone who really cathces your eye.
Detroit Bullocks, Daniel SS
Chicago Manning, Danieal SS
Kansas City Pollard, Bernard SS
Tennessee Lowry, Calvin SS
NY Giants Peprah, Charlie SS

I left Bullocks in for some reason but I took out Whitner and Huff for obvious reasons.

Just a thought. Hawk could easily end up in the middle. There's been plenty of talk that Barnett is best suted to OLB.sorry SLB. But he should be a 3 down LB unlike DJ. DJ will be a stud again eventually, dont worry.Everyone in IDP wants to know. Do you think AJ Hawk will play WLB or SLB?
This is very important. Ask DJ Williams.

5th round or later. If he starts to impress in camp and makes the team, ill look to acquire him and stash him, but he looks like a practice squad guy right now. Some hits and some whiffs in my predraft ranks as always, this one looks like a whiff, but in general, the WRs took some big tumbles on draft day.predraft you were high on Jonathan Orr
he went to a Titans team that is kind of crowded with young wr potential as well as some great TE's. where would you consider him in a ppr draft as good value
TIA
