This has to be the longest amount of time images have been left on. Thank you for a fun week full of spontaneity, memes, and yoga pants.![]()
Gotcha. Thanks.the millions and millions of posts prior to the upgrade are all being rebuilt. takes time.
It's been said its not happening. There are plenty of other boards out there with this feature and this board has been working fine without images and video. Instead we get features we did want like 25 posts per page, circle avatars, and the removal of the preview post button. It would be nice to keep youtube embedding available. Especially because i can do that from a smartphone and not images.
it is too small to read. The simple star to the left ★ is not enough of a visual indicator.
There is a cert problem of the site, only partially secure and no identity supplied. Both of which could be causing issues with IE, meaning those portions that aren't encrypted won't display. As it stands, I can get by on my work computer either at work or at home. Some board features don't work, some buttons/links are invisible, get kicked out after signing in sometimes, etc. But I can get by. Heck, I even figured out the extra step I had to do to post pics.
But, yeah, a lot of things are locked down on this laptop's IE. Really curious about what, specifically, this new board is doing different in regards to its interplay with IE - for instance, what kind of data is it sending TO my laptop now as I browse? And why would certain buttons/links be unavailable in this version of the board software, but not a problem in the previous version? I ask rhetorically: buttons and links are buttons and links, right?
They're retyping all of them?the millions and millions of posts prior to the upgrade are all being rebuilt. takes time.
Have you tried clicking on the right turn arrow that you quoted. It should take you back to the quoted post
Right turn arrow??? Is this a drivers test?Have you tried clicking on the right turn arrow that you quoted. It should take you back to the quoted post
That arrow is visible on the Blackberry, but not on a locked-down instance of IE. FWIW.Look where it says 7 hours ago acerfc said. All the way to the right on that line is an arrow. If you click it, it brings you to that post. Back where you want to be

How is that even possible? What did you search for?I just searched for this thread
. . . and was unable to find it![]()
How is that even possible? What did you search for?
Top tab.. Activity.. activity Stream..Is there a way to see "my content" like before?
I'd like to be able to queue up just the threads that I've responded to...is that possible or is that another thing we've lost with this fingers in the booty @zz board upgrade?
Got it. Thanks!AcerFC said:Look where it says 7 hours ago acerfc said. All the way to the right on that line is an arrow. If you click it, it brings you to that post. Back where you want to be

Yes. Not sure what part of the software the programmers missed to allow it to happen but it is very annoying.Anyone else getting this it sucks!
In Chrome on a macbook - Quote a post but then refresh page or back out without submitting. That quote or anything you have typed is then there whenever you try to quote or post later in the thread. If it is a quote you cannot get rid of it. It is there forever! Have to post with that quote to get a fresh box.
Doesn't happen in Safari.
Seems to happen in most browsers. Not sure if it is a bug or a feature.Anyone else getting this it sucks!

This has brought up a bunch, but, as Otis said: "It doesn't matter". And he's right, if it's not a big enough issue for people to leave in droves.
Sucks for sure. Only way to get rid of it is post and then delete.Yes. Not sure what part of the software the programmers missed to allow it to happen but it is very annoying.
Chrome for Android has it built in, too.Anyone else getting this it sucks!

Makes me wonder "For what browser is the stock Invision forum software optimized?" Been on a lot of boards with a lot of board software upgrades ... this one has by far been the biggest break from the prior version. It is what it is, I guess.Yes. Not sure what part of the software the programmers missed to allow it to happen but it is very annoying.
If it's a quote though, I can't get rid of the quote. It won't let me delete it. Seems more like a bug than a feature unless there is some way to clear the area that I am being dumb and missing.Chrome for Android has it built in, too.
Good feature that ensures you won't forget to post a reply if you happen to navigate away.

I use Chrome on my desktop and get this a lot. Very frustrating. What I do is type some content below the quote...move my mouse up to the top left corner of the quote...a little square pops up and then I drag that down below the content I typed. Then I can delete it. And start over.Anyone else getting this it sucks!

Reported day one.. Click at the top of the Quote, you should see a small symbol Icon.. click that, click delete .. Should be good.Anyone else getting this it sucks!

Whenever I click or right click that square icon...I don't see a delete option pulling up. Are you seeing it on a Chrome browser?Reported day one.. Click at the top of the Quote, you should see a small symbol Icon.. click that, click delete .. Should be good.![]()
No "Delete" Option.. Just click that Icon/Symbol and press delete/backspace on your keyboard.. Works for me on Firefox and Chrome.Whenever I click or right click that square icon...I don't see a delete option pulling up. Are you seeing it on a Chrome browser?
Since the upgrade, I have spent a lot less time here (which is a good thing in general). But I have also noticed that I open fewer threads and I think the number one reason for that is stuff falls off the first page so quickly that I don't even bother to go find it or look for it until it is back on the first page. The board is getting to the point for me where it's unusable. Same thing happened on another forum I used to visit.
- Excessive whitespace requiring extreme amounts of scrolling to get past short posts
- Minimal amount of posts per page and minimal amounts of threads per forum requiring excessive clicks
- quote function is perhaps broken by design and is nearly unusable
- Search is more broken than ever.

Hold control then click for right click.I don't have a right click option on my macbook - prolly some option that does this. What did work though is click the little "x" looking icon then hit delete button. Thanks fellas![]()
Guess we gotta adapt
Yup. If I didn't log on for 3 days, I usually only had to go back 3 pages to see what I missed. Now, things fall off the front page within 10 minutes.Since the upgrade, I have spent a lot less time here (which is a good thing in general). You used to be able to see all of the action for the day on the main first thread. You could scroll the 50 or so threads and see if anything caught your eye. And if nothing did you could go to page 2. I am not going to click on page 2 and then 3 or 4 every time I visit.
Totally echo the white space issue...but I am pretty sure they are working on that and will tweak it over time. Search is supposed to get fixed. And I am sure they are committed to it. We will see though.
Agreed. Probably the most annoying aspect of the upgrade IMOYup. If I didn't log on for 3 days, I usually only had to go back 3 pages to see what I missed. Now, things fall off the front page within 10 minutes.
What's weird is I was looking for a post and couldn't find it because I was looking for the star. I couldn't see the forest through the trees.Circle Star is back and bigger than ever!![]()
