Can't do that on mobile though. I had to post then delete to get rid of it.

Yeah, no one should talk about or suggest anything that isn't life or death. 

 
Seems to be related to using other code boxes like the italic code box. Could be that the code box is not "closed" properly.

I clicked on that stupid thing yesterday (quote+reply) .  Now when I come to this thread... there it is again whenever I try to just make a normal reply.

Happens in other threads.  I can bounce around to 10 threads... come back and anytime I try to reply it will add it in.  So I'm just going to "use it" to make it go away. Didnt really want to go looking thru thread to find it to unclick anything. Ive never seen that on any board in all my life.

Same reason why your username, avatar, post count and green number are way more important than your actual post. This is horrible on mobile.

Does FBG know what to expect before they hit the upgrade button, or is it a fly by the seat of our pants operation?

Is there no way to view the source of a post any more?  That used to be the only way to manage the quote boxes.  I accidentally clicked quote on another thread and it took me like 300 clicks to delete the quotebox.

The only way I've been able to delete a quotebox is to submit the reply then delete the entire post. There doesn't seem to be a way to just simply delete it from your message.

Is there a code, like link to insert videos? I am not seeing a way to do it. 

And what is that box over there --------------------------___________________>>>>> in the corner that says "insert other media"? It just tells me I can't access that page with my account.

Click the very top of the quote, click the symbol, press backspace/delete.. Works for me with Chrome/Firefox/IE 11 and on my Samsung Galaxy Android phone.

Doesn't work on the iPhone, for that you're left with an empty quote box which you have to type into, what you're left with is a post that with someone else's handle on it.

Does not work for me on my Galaxy 5. I can highlight and backspace and try to move but no dice. What do you do to delete it on the galaxy with chrome?

 I just click the top quote bar, symbol shows up, I click that, then press the backspace on the keypad.. Deleted and I can reply as I wanted :thumbup:

If this is any indication of how you're going to run things once you own the board, I hope the SEC squashes this acquisition.

 
Maybe it's been mentioned - but when clinking on a thread, why doesn't it take you to the latest unread post? 

Scrolling from the top of a thread to the later post is really annoying. Oh and where the hell did the "top of page" button go?

its like the update was made by people who've never used the site. Pics are cool though ...

Unless you've read all in the thread. Then the Star is greyed out. To get to the last post at that point you need to click on the tiny time stamp underneath the icon of the last poster to the right. Straightforward

First time only, if you want to back to the thread it will send you back to the top of the last page. White star doesn't work.

Total mobile disaster. I have the same problem Saints has. Once I quote someone, that quote is permanently part of every reply I try to make in that thread.

I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but if I had to guess, it's the cool little icon in the title that broke it.

The URL for a thread incorporates the title. So the current URL for the thread is:

My guess seems to have been correct. I started a new thread with a normal title, then merged it with the Bernie thread (while keeping my normal title), and it appears to be back in business.

Wasn't the icon there to begin with when it was working even after the upgrade?
