Looks like Twitter spelled "Favre" wrong.Childress lost the team. He had to go. But I don't think he's an awful coach. Not a good coach by any stretch but not an awful one. But if this gives them the inside track on negotiating with the legitimately good coaches out there who might want to get back into the game then great.

If he's not considered awful, he's as close to it as you can get. Simply no clue when it comes to in-game management.

No, they'll let Favre start again, and he'll put up a good game against Washington's last-ranked defense, which will help reinforce the idea that it was all Childress' fault.

Farve was half the problem in losing the team. Time for both to go and Minny to start where they were two years ago. Chilly is probably happy, he just signed a nice extension before the season.

I'm excited for Leslie Frazier. I hope he gets them on track enough to earn a shot in 2011.

First order of business will be whether Leslie decides to do something with Favre. Should be to watch this week.

The mirage that was the 2009 Vikings season got Childress an extension. Obviously, the 2009 season happened, and everything was hunky-dorey IRL ... but I firmly believe that if that season could be wound back and replayed over and over like Groundhog Day, a 2010-style meltdown would be the result 8 times out of 10.To be fair, I can understand fans who believe that the 2009 Saints' season was similarly flukey and not repeatable under Groundhog Day circumstances. But, eh ... at least a ring is forever.

It is up to 3 now I think Steckel, Green and now Childress.. I believe all 3 have gone after a bad loss to the Packers

Horrible news. Just horrible. Hopefully the Vikings will play well enough down the stretch to win several games and drop a few spots in next years draft.
