Maybe election coverage has stopped this thread, or maybe I am coming in late. There are no thread on page 1 of the forum so here it is. What are the realistic expectations for Brady here on out? Will Edwards cure his dropsies and Winslow shut up and play finally to give him some good numbers?

Hey, why not? This seems to be the year for inexperienced people to achieve great things.
You are correct, sir. Like you, I couldn't be more excited about the prospects of where we are headed :excited: Finally, someone that will command the respect the position deserves  I think Quinn can be solid. If Ryan can do it in ATL as a rookie I think Quinn can do it in Cleveland.

I have no clue how Quinn will do from here on out. But what Ryan is doing in Atlanta is astounding and not the norm and therefore no way can you make reference to Quinn having success based on Ryan's performance in Atl.

Aside from Detroit, I don't think Cleveland could have picked an easier defense to give him his first start.

I think Ozymandias was refering to a recent election

Who, me? I wouldn't dream of introducing politics into the Shark Pool. ;)

So was I ;)

next game is at Buffalo, which won't be much fun for him i'd guess. but he will at least have 10 days to prepare.

is champ playing? if so, is he healthy? makes a BIG difference.
No he will not be playing this week. Has a groin injury that will keep him out along w/ injury to DJ Williams and Boss Bailey, the bad Denver defense is even worse this week.

This makes the good posting about Cleveland rushing the ball down Denver's throats and controlling the clock and thus limiting Torain's chances an even better one. A complete boom or bust pick this week.

Untested QBs are always a crapshoot, but I think he has a reasonable chance to be successful. He has a lot of starting experience and was able to put up some great numbers throughout his college career. When he entered the draft a lot of people attributed his success to a friendly system, but Notre Dame's offense took a huge nosedive once he left.

On the downside, you never really know what you're getting with a QB prospect. Byron Leftwich and David Carr were just as impressive in college and they both flopped. There are some risk factors with Quinn. His confidence borders on arrogance and some onlookers say he does too much dinking-and-dunking. Nevertheless, I think you have to keep an open mind any time you're talking about a promising prospect taking over a starting job. Quinn has a good pedigree and has had a lot of time to adjust to the speed of the pro game. He could hit the ground running.

From what I've seen, he does check down quite a bit. Any Braylon owners concerned? At least Anderson would take chances & throw the ball up for grabs, which was Braylon's bread and butter. Any Winslow owners think his value goes up?

i actually think the dink n dunk might open up the long throws.

but Braylon needs to be willing to run all the routes to be sucessful.

Ryan is only a few fantasy points better than Flacco in our league. He's playing well. But Quinn could certainly do what Derek Anderson did in the first part of last season, no?

Anyone got the stones to play him tonight... I'm thinking of benching Eli against Philly; I got a stinking feeling that the Gmen are going to put up a stinker SNF.
