Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

I'm absolutely loaded at WR and not sure to proceed:

Calvin Johnson - 1st round (10 team)

Dez Bryant - 2nd

Josh Gordon - 15th

Keenan Allen - FA

TY Hilton - 9th

I also drafted Eric Decker (5th) but moved him for CJ Spiller.

I'm highly reluctant to trade anyone else just because I don't want to improve the competition. I'm 5-4 and 2 games back from 1st.

I have Spiller, MJD, L. Miller, Andre Brown, and Ben Tate as my backs. It seems the only teams that want to deal for a WR are ahead of me in the standings so I feel like standing pat and hoarding these WR's. It will make for some tough calls but currently they are ranked: 2, 4, 24, 16, 17. This is a PPR league with bonuses for long TD's and I can start 3 of them each week (2 WR & 1 FLEX).
Your RBs suck dude. You need to shop 1 or more of those if you intend to win the league. Don't worry about helping other teams - worry about improving yours.

I'm going to try and move Dez for a big name RB. The McCoy owner approached me last week about a deal involving them both but it was crazily lopsided. He's also ahead of me in standings and just lost Reggie Wayne for year. Things have changed though since he lost Sproles too. I feel like Dez will give me the best bang for the buck trade wise. Big name recognition.

If that doesn't work out , them I think my RBs are serviceable enough IF Spiller can contribute like he did last week . I just need solid performances from my backs. My WRs do all the heavy lifting since I start 3

I think Spiller is going to keep up with the numbers he put up last week. That's fine for me as one of my RBs. Then I just need Andre Brown to step up like I think he will and I'm good. I have MJD to hopefully fill the void this week coming off his best week and a bye

Who is your TE and QB? Your RBs are just fine but if you can upgrade QB and TE with your depth at WR, that would be the way to go. This is especially the case if you are in a PPR league. RBs are overvalued and extremely risky.

Having a ridiculous season so far and the best team I have ever had in 15 years in my 16 team league.

Currently 5-0, my total points is 53% higher than the average score in the league.

My all play record is 71-4.

Peyton Manning is ridiculous, accounting for over 3.3% of all scoring in the entire league, but even If I took a zero for him each week, I'd still be 4-1.
7-0, all play record is 97-8.

Even if I took a zero for Manning each week, I'd still be 6-1.
Continue rolling to 8-0, all play record is 108-12.

Not sure how long this is going to last, but I'm going to enjoy it while it does. Started Bolden this week in place of Spiller :D

If I can get anything out of Harvin, Vereen and A.Brown when they return, got a good shot to take it home this year.
Going to keep posting this until I lose.

9-0, all play record is 119-16. Clinched a playoff spot.

Have Manning back but no Charles, starting Andre Brown....

Cam Newton as my QB

Jordan Cameron and Timothy Wright as my TEs

Its a PPR league so WRs have much better production. I'm really glad I went Megatron and Dez in the 1st two rounds. Nearly every 1st round RB has been a disappointment and can't match the production of Megatron

Wow. My opponent had Erin Henderson and Chad Greenway last night. They combined for 9 solo tackles and 21 assists. Screw that.

HA! That's great because that was my approach in my leagues (except one where I did pick Doug Martin #2 overall). The only change I would seek is to package Cameron and a WR to upgrade to Graham or Gronk. With RB, I think you can do just fine with what you have and continue to troll the waiver wire.

Im pretty deep into talks into getting Shady McCoy. Call me crazy but I think Cameron/Wright can keep me solid at TE. I know for a fact neither the Graham or Gronk owner will deal. Cameron is still #2 in my league anyways. Yes, he has really cooled down but Campbell has #### together still.

I think I will be doing this deal:

Dez Bryant & Bilal Powell

For

Lesean McCoy & backup K (only have 2 add/drops left and don't want to waste one on a K to cover Bailey's bye)

Getting McCoy could really put me over the top:

Cam Newton

Lesean McCoy

CJ Spiller/MJD/Andre Brown/Ben Tate/Lamar Miller

Calvin Johnson

Josh Gordon

Keenan Allen/TY Hilton

Jordan Cameron/Tim Wright

I would've never dreamed I would be able to have Calvin Johnson. CJ Spiller, and LeSean McCoy on the same team this season. I don't want to suck my own **** too much here but if Spiller continues to play like last week (and his 2012 form), I have one of the best RB combo's in the league now. Then I can roll out Megatron, Gordon, and TY Hilton or Keenan Allen at WR and have Cameron round things out with his 16.4 ppg. Watch out, the ####Goose is on the loose!

Alright, down Julio, Cobb, Martin, Wilson, Vereen. But still on pace to crush the league's scoring record. Woohoo!

You diverted away from my advice completely! I thought the whole reason we were doing so well is because we came to the realization that RBs were too risky of a proposition and good ones can be found late in the draft or on the waiver wire. Nevertheless, you team is impressive! Let's hope that Spiller and McCoy finish strong. :)

On the contrary, I believe our confidence in the WR position put me in this position. That's how I'm able to deal away Decker for a better RB or consider moving Dez Bryant. I did so well with my WR position that I have an insane surplus that I cannot possibly use; I can only start a maximum of 3 per week (2 WR/ 1 FLEX).

Since I am so well off in the WR area, it only makes sense to strengthen other parts of my roster. By upgrading my RB corp with McCoy, I instantly make my team better and suffer no loss to my WR situation. It's a win-win in my eyes. I'll still have Calvin Johnson, Josh Gordon, Keenan Allen, and TY Hilton to roll with the rest of the way.

I like Dez Bryant but I came to the conclusion to move him because he has the most name recognition/pedigree. Other owners know that Dez Bryant is a stud WR. Trying to get a top 3 RB like McCoy definitely takes a "name" guy like Bryant. Even though Josh Gordon has statistically put up a better PPG average in games he's played as Bryant, he doesn't bring out that " I want that guy, now!" sensation in other owners.

If this deal goes through, I will have gotten two pre-season top 10 rated players for a relative song: CJ Spiller for a 5th round (Decker) and Shady McCoy for a 2nd round (Bryant) :drive:

WR's are the new RB's in PPR leagues; I don't care what any old timer says. The guys that snickered and chuckled at us for taking WR's with our top 2 picks aren't laughing now...

Dynasty, I loose Cobb, White, Finley, Foster. I was trying to trade both White and Foster to competitive teams for 1st round picks. Then they both get injured, which invariably leads to the 'THEY'RE BOTH DONE AND OLD AND BROKEN DOWN!!!!!' So now I can't trade them, but I'm so bad now that if I draft high next year and these guys come back to dominate, I could surprise.

Cobb and Finley should be fine next year.

Finley scares me, but with Reed and Cameron, it's fine. But instead of starting Nicks, Cobb, White and D Moore, I've been starting Marlon Brown, D Moore, Robert Woods/K Durham, Nicks.

There is just so much luck involved in this game.I have never been a lucky person you would think I would have figured it out by now.Guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

Giants D worked very well for me this week, taken off of WW cause I didn't like Panthers match up.

Unfortunately every friggin player on my oppo's team has gone off big today - Wilson, lynch, McCoy, cooper, Tate, Megatron, Hauschka, non ppr he's on 135 points with Gates his only guy left.

I'm on 90 pts with Moreno, j Thomas, Murray, Keenan Allen all alive. Improbable methinks.

Went into the DEN-SD game tied with my opponent. I had 4 players (rivers, allen, decker, JT) and my opponent had 1 (DT)

Congrats Chargers: you followed your gameplan, ran the ball, took a bunch of time off the clock, kicked 3 FGs (making 2) and now trail by 22 pts. Now, would you please throw & actually try to score TDs?

Oooof, Cam Newton, Keenan Allen, and Knowshon are struggling and I will probably need to settle for a 2-1 record in my three leagues this week (presuming Brees plays most of his game). That would be a 25-5 combined record this season.

Was supposed to get Demaryious in a trade this week, guy decides after we agreed on the trade that it is too important to accept while he is on vacation, so Thomas decides to go off for 29 points. I also benched Keenum in favor of Pryor, after an injury to Rodgers. 4 and 6 with 4 weeks left, yep. I do suck.

For Pete's sake, Murray was about to lead my comeback run and then he gets scant touches the rest of the way because of Dallas' horrific D. Also got screwed by Vernon Davis getting hurt earlier in the day.

My guys had a great week, mainly on the back of Drew Brees & AJ Green. Put 151 in my PPR redraft, currently 3rd for the week, and thankfully enough to win for a change. I'll improve to 6-4, but unfortunately STILL be tied for 1st in my division.

Had a 3 way tie going into the week, with all division games left. I defeated one of the guys I was tied with. Unfortunately the other will win, because my dip#### opponent hooked him up with a trade on Friday. The guy was in a world of hurt, having to start Richardson & Kris Durham at RB and WR. The other guy traded him Pierre Thomas & Riley Cooper for Richardson & Aaron Dobson. Pierre & Cooper put up 55, more than 40 points improvement over his replacement. WHY help out a guy you're competing with for the division title!? Especially to get back nothing but bench players. I don't get it.

One of the managers in my 14 team league has been horribly uncompetitive all year but this week his starting roster was inexcusable. He will not be invited back next year.

QB - Aaron Rodgers

RB - Daniel Thomas

RB - Darren McFadden

WR - Tavon Austin

WR - Stephen Hill

FLEX - Zach Miller

DST - Patriots

I don't want to make all your woes seem insignificant, but god f***ing damn. Lost by 5 points, faced DeSean Jackson AND A.J Green. R.I.P "Defending"

You suck-diddly-uck, Tony Romo.
While Romo and the rest of the Cowboys laid the ultimate egg last night, he has far from sucked. Its tough to win in a primetime game in that dome. They channel some funky moojoo or something. And then to lose Sean Lee was the nail in the coffin.

Benched Spiller last week and put Pierre Thomas up.

Switched them around this week.

Can Spiller just go on IR and stop ruining my season?

Head to head sucks - so arbitrary. Won this week but my all play is .777....my record that counts is only 6-4 (fighting for a playoff spot). If my all play translated to my actual record I'd be 8-2 with a playoff spot assured. Oh well, magic football gives and magic football takes away.

I'm having a very similar run in my main money league, also head to head. It IS frustrating as hell, but I wouldn't trade it for overall points or victory points scoring. I've tried both, and frankly it is just boring and sucks the life out of fantasy football, for me. Sure, I'm gonna be pissed in a few weeks if I end up on the outside looking in, but that's just part of the game we're playing.

In my total points dynasty league I've endured Roddy, Spiller, Martin, Julio, Ridley, Wilson but before this week I was only 45 out of first. Now the final dagger has been thrust into the heart of my team with the loss of Rodgers which also kills my Jordy, coupled with now Graham being limited. Un freaking believable. :ptts:

Needed 6 pts from Mike James tonight to move to 10-0 in a competitive but free league. Got 4.1 and what looked like a season ending injury. :(

I also benched Pierre Thomas, Jarrett Boykin, Coby Fleener, and Bengals D for Mike James, Lance Moore, Garrett Graham, and Texans D. So it's my own damn fault.

Shouldn't have to blame yourself... All of these injuries take the fun out of the game. Real life and fantasy. With all the advances in medicine and training, guys are as brittle as ever.

Fun season. Was tied going into tonight's game with James against his Miller (and my season likely on the line). Why is my season on the line? Well I've lost the following players due to injury (typically very early in their game): Spiller, Murray, Sproles, James, Vick and Foles. I also own Blackmon :bag: This is easily my best job putting together a team considering I still have a fair amount of points (despite losing a player to injury every week)

The NFL is officially rigged against me. I needed 7 points out of James tonight in PPR. This is the 4th time this season I've had my last player going either sunday night/monday and come up short due to an early injury.

My team and the team I'm playing are the 2 highest scoring teams this week by over 30 points. And I've lost. Now 3-7 despite being the 2nd highest scoring team in the league.

:ptts:
