Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (2 Viewers)

Lost by 1/2 point last week when James broke his ankle at the 1 inch line.

Probably gonna lose again tonight because of Cooper getting tackled at the 1 inch line.

Dobson catch on that last drive resulted in a .35 pt loss*. FML. Lets go stat corrections!

*Dobson was on his bench with a player on bye until another league mate reminded him. Meh.

So as a pats fan I'm disappointed with how the game ended. but on the fantasy side of things:

Went into this game up by 3 with Gronk against his Brady. The PI waved off at the end caused an INT which put our score at 105-104 me winning. If the PI is called, my only chance to win is if Gronk catches the TD on the next play. Or I lose if the Panthers simply drops the ball and doesn't intercept it. Crazy bittersweet end to the game.

EDIT: Just realized that I lost week 9 105-106 and if not for that call would have lost 105-106 again.

Having a ridiculous season so far and the best team I have ever had in 15 years in my 16 team league.

Currently 5-0, my total points is 53% higher than the average score in the league.

My all play record is 71-4.

Peyton Manning is ridiculous, accounting for over 3.3% of all scoring in the entire league, but even If I took a zero for him each week, I'd still be 4-1.
7-0, all play record is 97-8.

Even if I took a zero for Manning each week, I'd still be 6-1.
Continue rolling to 8-0, all play record is 108-12.

Not sure how long this is going to last, but I'm going to enjoy it while it does. Started Bolden this week in place of Spiller :D

If I can get anything out of Harvin, Vereen and A.Brown when they return, got a good shot to take it home this year.
Going to keep posting this until I lose.

9-0, all play record is 119-16. Clinched a playoff spot.

Have Manning back but no Charles, starting Andre Brown....
10-0, all play record is 131-19.

Thanks Andre! Let's see if Harvin and Vereen can contribute now.
It continues. 11-0, all play record is 145-20.

If I took a Zero for Manning every week, I'd still be 8-3

I am livid with the way things have played out this season.

- I am in a fully standard league (i.e. no scoring inflation). I am the third highest scorer: 25 points behind the leading scorer (2nd place team) and 10 points behind the second leading scorer (3rd place team). The next highest scoring team (4th place team) is 40 points below me, and the team after that (5th place team) is 150 points below me.

- My team is 5-6 and in 9th place with the highest points scored against. The next highest points scored against is 100 points less than me.

- To make matters worse, I have scored 200 more points and have had 300 more points against than the 1st place team.

- Not to mention, I'm all but out of the playoffs unless I win out, one out of four 7-4 teams lose out, and both of the 6-5 teams lose one game. Too bad they all have a game against an absentee owners during the last two weeks.

- Oh yeah, also faced both Manning (week 1) and Foles (week 9) during their record setting games, which was the sole difference in the outcome of both match-ups.

- Cam Newton's last minute TD sealed my one point loss last night. Oh never mind, I could have still AT LEAST tied it had Vereen not dropped that pass down the sideline.

Tied, tiebreaker is total bench points.....lose

You've got to be ####### kidding me

Might be the worst tiebreaker in the history of fantasy football.

Try using fractional points, you Neanderthal.

The team I'm playing against week 12 (a must win for me) will be starting Stacy/Rainey/Rahsad Jennings. He's sewed up a playoff spot. He didn't draft his first RB until like round 8; kept taking BPA, which wound up being WRs & QBs. Another anecdote about the worthlessness of taking RB early & often. Oh, and since I'm counting on Romo & Dez, this owner will be knocking me out of playoff contention this week. No doubt whatsoever

I couldn't agree with you more!! The bench tiebreaker is BS, because you could have players on BYE, or were stricken with the injury bug, or didn't stock your roster with QBs, or had the foresight to roster handcuffs who are not producing now but could become very valuable.

If a league has a bench tiebreaker or veto system for trades, I will not join the league!!

Already clinched a division title in one league: 9-1 record

Will win another division title and first round bye with a win this week in another league: 9-1 record

Fighting for yet another division championship in another league with a three way tie for first place at 7-3.

May I remind everyone that I ignored RB for the first three rounds in the leagues where I am 9-1. I drafted Doug Martin in the first round in the league where I am 7-3.

25-5 combined record.

If only I ignored everyone's advice and drafted Calvin instead of Doug Martin in one league in the first round, the result would have been even better.

The new paradigm in fantasy football... Ignore RBs in the first three rounds.
Update: Another 2-1 week but suffered a tough loss in the league that I, you guessed it, drafted Doug Martin in the first round.

27-6 combined record

10-1 and clinched #1 seeds in the playoffs in two leagues

7-4 in the other league

I guess this is a good problem to have. Starting next week assuming everyone stays healthy (knock on wood), I need to figure out who to bench out of this group.

QB: Peyton, Romo

RB: Gore, Gio, Vereen

WR: Demaryius, Torrey Smith, Jeffery, Harvin

I can flex a QB and have been using Romo most weeks. I envision Harvin and Vereen being every week must-starts, leaving either Gio, Torrey Smith, Romo or Jeffery on the bench depending on matchups. Maybe even add Gore to that mix if I decide I just want high ceiling guys for the playoffs. I've never had a team where I agonized over having to bench studs because I had too many.

3 of my 4 money league teams are in the playoffs. If the 4th team wins out, they're all in.

I'll never go back to non fractional. Having every yard equal 0.1 just makes too much sense. It makes ties almost non exisistent which is a plus. You also vet the full bang for your buck from your guys. Nothing worse then losing by a point cause a couple of your guys were stuck at 88 or 99 yards.

Determining a head to head game on bench points is just unfair in my book. What makes FF so great is the pressure to do your homework and start the right players. Players you left on your bench should have no affect on outcomes. Plus there are those pesky bye weeks.

The 3rd place team in my big money league literally has entire bench on bye this week. To top it off, he was counting on Sproled to have a prayer at winning this week and he goes inactive. Ouch

Preemptive vent. If I lose today I am eliminated from playoffs...the problem is I am 2nd (of 12 teams) in scoring by almost 100 points and yet sit at 6-5 and eliminated today if I lose. On the bright side, if I win I clinch based on tie breakers. Hopefully this vent is not needed.

Fully expect Eli and Nicks to have one of their monster days today. I seem to always lose to this one opponent and this week is the week we match up.

He has beaten me 10 out of the last 11 times, including once in the regular season last year and knocked me out of the playoffs when I had the #1 seed last year as well.

Beware of Eli and Nicks. I'm very worried my undefeated season ends today.

Keenan Allen on my bench...had him in my lineup all week, then switched him out for Garcon yesterday. Pretty much the story of my season

Wake up today with only one question mark on my rosters last night to a surprise inactive in Nicks with Julius Thomas also unlikely to play with replacements for neither...

Can't believe I took another chance on Keenum. Forget the matchup, I'll never start this guy again. Problem is, I've also got Andre Johnson. FML.

Not starting Ridley might be the only good lineup decision I've made in weeks. Another fumble, this time returned for a TD. Might be droppable now in redraft.

I'm mostly kidding, of course...

I need Manning to outscore Edelman. Thought it was pretty much a certainty before the game, now... a little worried.

With that catch by Welker, I have lost a tough matchup against a team in our league who has clinched the 2nd seed (Josh Gordon was primarily to blame for that).

Nevertheless, another 2-1 week.

29-7 combined record

11-1 and clinched the #1 seed in one league

10-2 and clinched the #1 seed and a first round bye in another league

8-4 in the final league... still in contention for the division title and a #2 seed.

went into the night game needing peyton, decker, and vereen to score 22 points. I am still down by 10 in the 4th... FML

WTF. Come on.
Unreal F Me
Down 12 now, with my undefeated season on the line. Guy started Edelman cause he had no one else. Nicks, D. Moore and Goodwin all out or on a bye.

Guy had his K, D and TE on a bye as well, and picked up 3 guys on the WW. I really cannot believe my streak is going to end this way.

Wow, down by 3 now and Manning is getting the ball back

Was tied going into the drive where Manning was all about DT. My opponent has a much better lineup than me and has Thomas, of course. I'm praying he gets no more balls in OT. I don't want to count of Krapernick to score over 20 pts to pull off a must-win. My opponent still has Phil Dawson to go.

My only hope is a long TD from Manning.

How about a 88 yrd WR screen to DT

My last place opponent got more points from Julian Edelman and Donnie Avery than I did from Wes Welker, Victor Cruz, Zac Stacy, Le'Veon Bell, John Carlson (who I started in place of Reed) and with his win, killed my playoff chances. :kicksrock:

Wouldnt have guessed that my Defense, TE, and #1 WR would have combined for -1 points. Especially when I had the #1 ranked defense, #2 ranked TE, and #7 ranked WR coming into this week.

Still a slight chance tonight. Tied for first place with my opponent. Winner clinches a playoff spot. Need Vernon davis to get less than 8 points, non ppr.

This game we play FF is really cruel sometimes. :wall:

Wright catches a pass with :10 left and gets 1 point for the yardage, 5 points for the bonus of going over 100 yds. and 6 points for td.

Up by 32 until that happened now only up by 20 going into the Den-NE game.

Me = D.Thomas points at half = 0

Opponent= Tom Brady points at half = 1

We all know how that turned out :tfp:

Brady finished with 34 points and Thomas 10 points. Final score, I lost 117-113. Next highest score from any other opponent this week was 90.

Forking Fantasy Gods

I all but hung up my fantasy cleets. Edelman and Decker left and down 17 points starting the third quarter.... but I watched...

lets just say

I started JE because Djax was on bye... now I will forever bench Decker... too many weapons on Denver too unreliable and 1 catch for five yards will not cut it in the home stretch.

I heart Edelman.

Thank you Gronk & Lacy for keeping my playoff hopes alive. Romo & Dez: please start dominating the stat lines. You've been "o.k." To own thus far but have too many instances of disappearing

Ridley....I am lacking the words. You've been on my bench for weeks. Sure I missed out on some solid production but those games weren't enough to give me wins I game I lost starting others and I avoided a loss this week by leaving you on my bench

Huge matchup for me going into this week. Fighting to make it into the top 3. Had to decide between Gordon, Hilton, and K. Allen as my FLEX. Said screw it and went Gordon and he put up 47.7- just the run of the mill 14 catches for 237 yards and a TD. That's with a combo of Campbell and Weeden throwing him the ball. Imagine the damage he would do with a Manning or Brees??

What a steal he was. Everyone stayed away because of his suspension. In the 13th round of a 10 teamer, I could not let him go any further. Who cares about the first 2 games that late in the draft.

He may be the steal of most drafts.

I would argue that he is probably the top young WR in the game right now. If he can keep his nose clean, and the Browns can grab a big time QB, watch out!

Lost to the same team by one point, AGAIN. Same exact score. First time was due to Reggie wayne stat correction. Now I just lost by 1 yard. I am now in 3rd place even though I have a big overall points lead.

Now I get to shovel snow. Yay!

I just needed RG3 + Alf to outscore Dawson. Loss eliminates me from playoff contention. But this seemed like such a slam dunk that I chalked up it up to an easy win beforehand. Lost by 1 point. Season over. :sadbanana: Lost to a deadbeat manager with 2 bye week guys in the lineup and an 0-11 record to boot.

Could've avoided elimination with Gore just scoring 5 points in another matchup ... of course, that didn't happen either.
