Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

My team is so inconsistent. I snuck into the playoffs but I can be high scorer or low scorer any given week. I won this week but it wouldn't surprise me if I struge to score 70 pts week 16

If i lose this week, I blame the entire thing on Michael Bush and he wasn't even owned in our league. If he doesn't run in that 40 yd TD with 2 minutes left, my opponent doesn't get 20 extra points from Cameron and Gordon on the ensuing drive. I'm down 28 now with Calvin and Tucker tonight. With my league scoring average nights by both will get me the victory but I'm still steaming about those garbage time points from Cameron and Gordon.

My team: P. Rivers, K.Moreno, McCoy, Z. Stacy, D. Thomas (WR-DEN), D. Jackson (WR-PHI), J. Graham, M. Prater, DET D/ST

His team: T. Romo, M. Forte, S. Jackson, M. Colston, J. Cotchery, J. Nelson, Gostowski, C. Clay, KC D/ST

I'm losing by 13 points and if DET D doesn't get that then I will have lost to a man who started Jerrico F****** Cotchery in the fantasy post-season. Most of my furniture has been destroyed, I drank all of the remaining paint thinner and I may or may not have anything to do with multiple police reports of disturbing the peace around my city.

I just needed to vent. Thanks.

0-4 in the Semi's baring a miracle in one league. Only one of them really stings since I thought I had the "stacked" best ball team, but after my bye, the Peyton/ADP/Gronk/DT core let me down big time.

This is what it's all about. :lmao:

I HAD THREE STARTERS POST THEIR WORST GAMES OF THE YEAR

Shane Vereen, Demaryius Thomas, and Antonio Gates combined for 6 points... yup, SIX. Ha....Ha Just watch, next week I'm playing in the concolation game (winner gets $100, so I guess I can't be too piseed.) and D Thomas, Vereen, and Gates will combine for 50. Book it.

Remember that time that Megatron had 329 receiving yards?

If he does that tonight, that still won't be enough to get me a win.

This would be a grieving post. Best team in the league. Probably best team I have ever had. Average 17.5 points per week more than the next highest scoring team. Not counting week two (before Gordon came on board), this was my lowest scoring week of the season. Had what I thought was a sure-fire winner:

P. Manning Den - QB A. Johnson Hou - WR D. Thomas Den - WR J. Gordon Cle - WR M. Forte Chi - RB L. McCoy Phi - RB J. Thomas Den - TE P. Dawson SF - K Carolina Car - DEF

Going down to a team currently high-lighted by Garcon catching passes from a backup qb.
My team was almost identical to yours. Yet somehow I was jettisoned by a team of middle of the road players. Feel your pain.

Should have started Todman over Vareen, Andre Holmes over Andre Johnson, Tannehill over Romo. Who would have known. ####.

Had 3 of top 10 WR (Gordon, Marshall, Andre) and McCoy. Doesn't matter when everyone ####s the bed in the same week.

Please pitta, score 37.

Already clinched a division title in one league: 9-1 record

Will win another division title and first round bye with a win this week in another league: 9-1 record

Fighting for yet another division championship in another league with a three way tie for first place at 7-3.

May I remind everyone that I ignored RB for the first three rounds in the leagues where I am 9-1. I drafted Doug Martin in the first round in the league where I am 7-3.

25-5 combined record.

If only I ignored everyone's advice and drafted Calvin instead of Doug Martin in one league in the first round, the result would have been even better.

The new paradigm in fantasy football... Ignore RBs in the first three rounds.
Update: Another 2-1 week but suffered a tough loss in the league that I, you guessed it, drafted Doug Martin in the first round.

27-6 combined record

10-1 and clinched #1 seeds in the playoffs in two leagues

7-4 in the other league
With that catch by Welker, I have lost a tough matchup against a team in our league who has clinched the 2nd seed (Josh Gordon was primarily to blame for that).

Nevertheless, another 2-1 week.

29-7 combined record

11-1 and clinched the #1 seed in one league

10-2 and clinched the #1 seed and a first round bye in another league

8-4 in the final league... still in contention for the division title and a #2 seed.
In the final week of the regular season, I was confident that I would finish strong with a 3-0 record except that Drew Brees crapped in his pants. No matter, my 2-1 final week concluded one amazing regular season.

31-8 combined record

11-2 and #1 seed in one league

11-2 and #1 seed in another league

9-4 in final league and #3 seed... missed #1 seed by 48 points scored

This sets me up perfectly for an early exit from the playoffs!
With a bye, I had two first round playoff games and won them both.

I did get extremely lucky in one league. I had Newton, A Brown, Bryant, T Smith, and Gronk. :topcat: My opponent had Keenum (ARod on bench), Morris, and Bush. I won in a pitcher's duel, 61-48. Won the other league 128-106 with the help of Brees, Lacy, K Allen, Fitz, Graham, etc.

Final Four in all three leagues... thankfully have Cameron in the league where I have Gronk... hoping to keep the best season ever going despite all of the weather and injuries! :drive:

33-8 combined record

12-2, 11-2, 10-4 records in each league

Another 2-1 week and onto the finals in two leagues. I thought it would be 3 for 3 until the ARZ/TEN game went to OT and Mendenhall got 25 or so yards in overtime which gave my opponent a one point victory.

In another league, I survived Jamal Charles!

35-9 combined record

13-2, 12-2, 10-5 records in each league

I just want to throw up. Tucker needed 17 points to beat me tonight. It's looking probable right now
I just needed Tucker to do enough to keep Bush at bay and looks like he did it. I'm in the championship in that league and made it to the semis in my other league. Heck, even got to the final game in the #1 pick game in the other league where I didn't make the playoffs.

Weird year. I posted my highest point total for the year in the Tucker league the same week I was without Peterson. I was getting killed about halfway through the 4pm games and then Lacy's 60 yard run seemed to energize my fantasy team as much it did the Packers. Before that, I was thinking my fantasy year was over, now, I am still alive in all 3.

Wow, after the first couple drives, I was worried that Bush would beat me in 2 leagues and then Tucker just goes nuts and ends up outscoring Bush in the game.

Undefeated regular season. A team with Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Reggie Bush, Josh Gordon, Jimmy Graham, DeMarco Murray, and Shane Vereen. And I'm out. Sucks.

best team in two leagues. looks like i will be playing for third in both. damn
came back to win both semis thanks to Charles and tuckers 6 fgs. I was down by 20 points and the last fg from tucker won me the game and well over 1K.... going to the finals in both. cannot believe it. gonna send Charles and tucker Christmas cards...

Opponent had Ravens d. Tony Stafford killed my championship aspirations with the last int. Lost by .8 pts. Needed 2 extra yards from Mega for a win. Would have been awesome if he didn't drop the easy 20+ yd catch.

Holy ####!

I started the day needing 28 points from Megatron and Tucker. When Megatron didn't convert the 2pt conversion I was down by .8 points and needed a Tucker FG to win... so I won the ####### game on that 61 yard FG!

Further, the guy I was playing had J. Charles and scored the 5th highest points for the year... fortunately for me I scored the 4th highest for the year! Definitely the craziest fantasy game I have ever been involved with.

Semifinals

Me 90 point something

Opponent 81 point something

Still to play-

Calvin Johnson for me

David Akers and Matt Stafford for opponent

Bench points-

153 for me

50 for opponent
I held on to win and thus avoided what would have been my most embarrassing playoff loss ever.

Poor fella in my 10-year-old keeper league had never placed in the money.

He was fourth place in his division, but the third place team lost Rodgers and Foster and had a fire sale.

Guy just makes the playoffs with tiebreakers.

He picks up an improbable win against the Peyton Manning squad when team Manning starts Bush and Gronk who get him zero combined.

He's up 15 against the 1 seed this week and the 1 seed only has 1 guy left, his worst player...

And then he got Tucked in the butt.

Guessing you didn't go with Rainey :)
Picked up todman and played him...hope to do so again next week

I'm now coming down off my high from winning this week. I'm sobered by the realization that next week I have to face the #1 seed & he owns Shady (vs crappy Bears defense) & Jeffrey (@ crappy Philly defense). And he owns Peyton too. I'm gonna get smoked.

Joined a keeper league for the 2011 season with a friend of mine. There was one loud-mouthed guy in particular who scoffed at every pick I made. I won the championship that year and now I'm happy to say that I have a very good chance to win my second in three years, this time against the loud-mouthed gentleman who is only in the playoffs because he had the weakest strength of schedule in the 7 year history of the league.

Time to finish the job and taste those sweet tears of defeat, or else the draft next season may be unbearable.

Fantasy football matchups are often unpredictable.

Any given Sunday. Good Luck!

Just like to thank the NO saints for using Jimmy Graham as a decoy for the semi finals. Lost by 4 points.

Looked like Graham was just going through the motions on most of his routes. WTF were they thinking....

Finished up 12-1 regular season in my 16 teamer with Most total points (half the $$)

All play record was 171-24. 88%. That is crazy.

4 weeks this year I played against an opponent who put up their highest point total of the year and still won all 4 match ups.
Put up the highest score of the week in the first round (no byes)

All play record is 186-24. 89%.
Put up the second highest score of the week. (Luckily it was the #2 seed who scored higher who I didn't play)

Finals is #1 vs #2 (worried about this one)

All play record is 200-25. 89%

First time making playoffs in a Yahoo money league. Went 13-1 and cruised into semis. Up by 17 with DET defense vs Ravens kicker. Seemed like a lock. Not so much.

3 Redraft Leagues all with different people and I am playing for 3 titles which has under a 1% chance of occurring (1/6*1/6*1/5).

2 of the leagues have 12 teams (Sportsline and ESPN) and the 3rd has 10 teams (Yahoo).

Total Buy-in - $350. Total winnings will be anywhere between $800 to $2400.

Ok. I just hurt myself patting myself on the back. Back to being humble …

Check this guy's luck out. He finished 1game out of the playoffs. He's been blowing everyone out of the water since week 11. High score every week since then. League avg is 120. He beat me 227-144 a few weeks ago. Poor *******...
