Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

Gronk w/ nothing in the 1st half; Lacy limps off the field after a stupid handoff to him to end the half; my opponent's SJax shredding the Packers D on the ground & now Atl has a 2 score lead, so more SJax in 2nd half. FML

Last week, bragging about my amazing Peterson/Tate combo. This week venting about shirty Peterson/Tate combo.

Playing the #1 seed in the first round of the playoffs, he has Peyton, Megatron and Peterson.

Stars align, looks like I might crush him by 200 pts.

Stafford has been solid for me all year. In the first round of the playoffs? 4.7 points.

I may, MAY somehow sneak into the next round but he also happened to play Andrew Luck on his best day of the year as well. You'd think my Kansas City defense would close the gap some, but he also has the Bucs defense (26 points vs. 24 points) so I really need my RBs and TEs to carry me over the top.

Ppr league my 3 rbs i started were lesean McCoy, Jamal Charles, and Shane vereen. Love fantasy for the time being

2 things this year. Had Daryl RIchardson in dyno... was offered Stacy for pretty reasonable. Said NO THANKS!!! :bag:

My one league we do rotisserie scoring. I am teh number 1 seed. I am the number 1 seed by 31 games. Yes I dominated..... BRAG

GUarantee I get knocked out next week!!!
Auction - manning, peterson, calvin johnson.

####KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

My entire league has a point total under 90 so far today other that two teams. I have 133, my opponent has 139. He also has Lynch, Russell Wilson, Fitzgerald, and Seahawks D going currently, while I only have Decker.

I've played this guy twice already and he has outscored me 395 to 191. They represent his two highest scoring games (by an average of 40 points) and my lowest scoring games (by an average of 52 points). It's ridiculous.

Once again, I'm on the wrong end of Denver whack-a-mole. My opponent has Moreno and Julius Thomas who get the TD's, while I'm stuck with Ball and Decker, who keep missing opportunities to hit paydirt.

Well, finally hit one, still gonna be a fight to the finish in my matchup though.

Broke the single game scoring record in my league...with Dez still to play...while on a bye....My team is going to throw up a dud next week.

Unfortunately, I am right there with you. UNCANNY how this seems to happen every year to this one team I have.

Fantasy Football is stupid.

I am going to lose to a terrible team in the first round of the playoffs... he's starting Hartine, Edelman, and R. Mathews who combined for 4 TDs today. His only good player is L.Fitz who also scored a TD. It's only a 10 team league so it's pretty surprising that his team is this ####### bad. Further, I would be 10-4 against this steaming pile of dog #### of a team if we played every week... instead I am 0-2 in the regular season and will be 0-1 in the playoffs unless Forte and Marshall outscore P.Thomas and G.Olsen by 34 points... ####### bull####.

Going into the match up I looked good with N.Foles, D.Jackson and Megatron in what looked to be a high scoring shootout with tons of passing yards.... instead a ####### white-out causes PHI to run all day.

And I'm my own worst enemy too... sitting KC defense for NE... what a ####### stupid ####### move. Also got tired of J. Cameron not scoring more than 5 points since week 8 so I cut his ### for J. Cook.... good move there you ####### moron.

Colston, Cameron, Ball, and Woodhead all on the bench. If I just started one of them, I'd probably be heading into the semi's.

It looks like I'll be going home early.

I am up 70 on the #2 seed in my conference, seems like a sure W, but lose Gronk in the process. Bad enough I had no #2 RB, but my WR's and TE had masked that hole in my lineup. Now...I'm rolling with Antonio Gates the rest of the way. Next week, up against one of the highest scoring teams in the league for Rd 2 (starts Jordan Cameron). Safe to say, the miracle run will be done.

Gronk....never again.

I hear ya pal. I am crushing the #2 seed in my conference by 70, but next week, I can't expect Shady and Joique Bell to get close to 50 pts. Plus I lose Gronk. Unless Coradelle Patterson's game today is an indication of what's to come, and somehow Nate Burleson or Doug Baldwin get back on track, I'm about screwed.

Same here with Marshall tomorrow, thanks to Shady, Gordon, Vereen, Clay, and Fitzgerald (ppr). And yes I have the same ominous feeling...

Colston has really been awful this year, so he's been riding pine for the last couple weeks, including today. Of course he goes off. Andy Dalton also blew up on my bench while Stafford was bad.

Must win situation for me in a two-QB league, and Cam and Stafford barely combine for 300 yards.

Only way I win now is if Marshall re-aggravates that quad or the Chicago weather kills the passing game or something.

What a slugfest in my matchup today.

His Team

Andrew Luck

Shady McCoy

Joique Bell

Torrey Smith

DeSean Jackson

Jordan Cameron

Nick Novak

Was trailing all day up until Graham's last catch for a TD. What a wild weekend.

2 week playoff system.

Sat Seahawks vs NO last week. And this week vs SF in favor of NE vs texans/browns. #### me.

Just followed up my 155 (about 15 above my season average, good for a close 2nd in total points) from last week with a 164 this week, which included a big fat 0 from the Bengals D, and 2.7 from my fallen heart and soul, Adrian Peterson.

Top points both weeks, and absolutely rolling my 2 week playoff matchup.

On to the finals! With....someone else starting at RB. No clue who yet.

I put up 142 points this week. The league average is around 96 per week, so that is a really good score. That score is so good, that in the 15 year history of the league, no team has scored more during one of the playoff weeks. And that is with Calvin being handicapped with the weather. My team is stacked; it is one of the greatest teams I have ever assembled. Peyton, Calvin, Keenan Allen, Moreno, Stacy, Vereen, Vernon Davis, with Ray Rice and Pierre Thomas on the bench. This is my favorite league and a very competitive league as well, which makes it all the more satisfying.

I had the most total points of any team during the regular season, and if you add in this week no team is within 100 points of me. Most teams have 200 points less than I do, which is considerable when you realize teams average under 100 a week.

But this is not a bragging post. It is definitely a venting/grieving post, because I did not even make the playoffs. I am in the consolation bracket. And that 142 points I previously mentioned? My opponent has 144, so he has the playoff record. Until this week, he had the fewest points in the league. This drops me to 9 losses in 14 weeks. Next week I will play the 11th place game, and if I lose that, I will finish the season in last place…..with Peyton Manning, Calvin Johnson, and the most points in the league. In this 12 team league, the highest scoring team has played against me each of the past three weeks. All of my wins have been blowouts, and I am 0-5 in close games.

This is my 16th year playing fantasy football spanning many different leagues and many different setups, and I have never seen anything anywhere near as absurd as the outcomes in this league. When you play head-to-head you expect peculiar results now and then, but the results in this league are almost totally random. Three of the five highest scoring teams didn’t even make the playoffs. The non-playoff teams outscored the playoff teams by about 100 points during the regular season. It is worse than that though, because the non- playoff teams are surging while the playoff teams are falling apart. This week alone, non-playoff teams will outscore the playoff teams by around 115 points. I can’t take the winner of the championship bracket seriously when the majority of the good teams aren’t even participating.

I didn't set a record but my team blew up on a bye. We can drink our misery away next weekend.

Got through the guy with Peyton, Demaryius and Welker this week. Broncos pass attack is basically out of the fantasy playoffs. Nice to play them when they don't go off.

I sat AZ for NE and it cost me 24 points.

Every "expert" had NE above AZ and even after last week's lousy game against Houston, they didn't downgrade them.

So like a sheep I followed them and got killed for it.

Thank the fantasy Gods for Drew Brees last night as he offset Luck's record day.

I'm up 33 heading into tonight with my opponent down to Murray.

Congrats, you have arrived. For years I would get pissed when EVERY year a 6-7 or 5-8 team woul dsneak into the playoffs and win the whole thing. I'd have teams for 10-3 or 11-2 and get knocked out in the first round. Playoffs are only an indicator of who is hot over a 3-4 week period, not who has the best team. Once you come to grips with it, it is less frustrating and makes the hobby far more enjoyable.

That is exactly what I said last week when my team closed out the regular season with the highest single scoring game in league history (just eclipsed 300 points ... full point PPR 18-starter IDP league). 200 points is usually the tipping point for a "good" weekly point total, as the league average is about 185 points. I thought for sure I was due for a bad game, and an early exit as the #1 seed in the playoffs. I hadn't scored less than 180 points all season long, and was sitting at halftime of yesterday's game with something like 45 points (14 of my 18 starters were playing, by the way, including all but one of my offensive players, so it was NOT looking good).

The second half of those early games came up pure gold for me, however. Nick Foles gave me 2 TDs and solid yards. Vereen went nutso. Antonio Brown blew up. Gordon did what Gordon does. It was enough to overcome a poor performance from Calvin and the injury to Gronk. When it's all said and done, I will end up with the highest point total in the league for a ridiculous 5th straight week. Two more weeks to go for the big money.

In my 12-team, 18th Year Redraft, I set the league scoring record Week 1. Will likely to break it tonight; need just 1.36 points with one player left. In between I went 6-6, will finish as the #3 seed.

The team that finished 1st is 9-5; the 2nd through 7th place teams are all 8-6. Ultra competitive, or exceedingly mediocre? Not too much turnover and even the last place team fights to the end, as it should be.

WRs have carried the team all year: A.J., V-Jax and Gordon. Had to plug in Colston for Jackson yesterday due to injury uncertainty, and he had his best game all year. Julius Thomas was a nice surprise at TE, Shady is gonna win the rushing title, Sproles early and Gio of late have been productive RB2s.

My QBs are RG III and Josh McCown so I'll be one and done, but still awesome to jump from 7th to 3rd on the last weekend. Love getting paid!

He can't be starting Terrible Pryor against the team that I need to lose so I can make the playoffs?

He is! He is! Hey commish make him pick up someone and play them

The commish does and the whole league (about $3,000 worth) has picked a side and is starting to fight.

How do you feel about quitters and what is the best coarse of action?
