Such garbage
Such garbage
Some people are saying once the game starts, teams can't use plows. The field in Philly is a joke, never would happen in Buffalo. Nothing a tractor plow couldn't fix between commercials
Auction - manning, peterson, calvin johnson.2 things this year. Had Daryl RIchardson in dyno... was offered Stacy for pretty reasonable. Said NO THANKS!!!![]()
My one league we do rotisserie scoring. I am teh number 1 seed. I am the number 1 seed by 31 games. Yes I dominated..... BRAG
GUarantee I get knocked out next week!!!
Well, finally hit one, still gonna be a fight to the finish in my matchup though.Once again, I'm on the wrong end of Denver whack-a-mole. My opponent has Moreno and Julius Thomas who get the TD's, while I'm stuck with Ball and Decker, who keep missing opportunities to hit paydirt.
I hear ya pal. I am crushing the #2 seed in my conference by 70, but next week, I can't expect Shady and Joique Bell to get close to 50 pts. Plus I lose Gronk. Unless Coradelle Patterson's game today is an indication of what's to come, and somehow Nate Burleson or Doug Baldwin get back on track, I'm about screwed.Broke the single game scoring record in my league...with Dez still to play...while on a bye....My team is going to throw up a dud next week.
Same here with Marshall tomorrow, thanks to Shady, Gordon, Vereen, Clay, and Fitzgerald (ppr). And yes I have the same ominous feeling...Broke the single game scoring record in my league...with Dez still to play...while on a bye....My team is going to throw up a dud next week.
I didn't set a record but my team blew up on a bye. We can drink our misery away next weekend.Landro21 said:Broke the single game scoring record in my league...with Dez still to play...while on a bye....My team is going to throw up a dud next week.
I sat AZ for NE and it cost me 24 points.2 week playoff system.
Sat Seahawks vs NO last week. And this week vs SF in favor of NE vs texans/browns. #### me.
Congrats, you have arrived. For years I would get pissed when EVERY year a 6-7 or 5-8 team woul dsneak into the playoffs and win the whole thing. I'd have teams for 10-3 or 11-2 and get knocked out in the first round. Playoffs are only an indicator of who is hot over a 3-4 week period, not who has the best team. Once you come to grips with it, it is less frustrating and makes the hobby far more enjoyable.I put up 142 points this week. The league average is around 96 per week, so that is a really good score. That score is so good, that in the 15 year history of the league, no team has scored more during one of the playoff weeks. And that is with Calvin being handicapped with the weather. My team is stacked; it is one of the greatest teams I have ever assembled. Peyton, Calvin, Keenan Allen, Moreno, Stacy, Vereen, Vernon Davis, with Ray Rice and Pierre Thomas on the bench. This is my favorite league and a very competitive league as well, which makes it all the more satisfying.
I had the most total points of any team during the regular season, and if you add in this week no team is within 100 points of me. Most teams have 200 points less than I do, which is considerable when you realize teams average under 100 a week.
But this is not a bragging post. It is definitely a venting/grieving post, because I did not even make the playoffs. I am in the consolation bracket. And that 142 points I previously mentioned? My opponent has 144, so he has the playoff record. Until this week, he had the fewest points in the league. This drops me to 9 losses in 14 weeks. Next week I will play the 11th place game, and if I lose that, I will finish the season in last place…..with Peyton Manning, Calvin Johnson, and the most points in the league. In this 12 team league, the highest scoring team has played against me each of the past three weeks. All of my wins have been blowouts, and I am 0-5 in close games.
This is my 16th year playing fantasy football spanning many different leagues and many different setups, and I have never seen anything anywhere near as absurd as the outcomes in this league. When you play head-to-head you expect peculiar results now and then, but the results in this league are almost totally random. Three of the five highest scoring teams didn’t even make the playoffs. The non-playoff teams outscored the playoff teams by about 100 points during the regular season. It is worse than that though, because the non- playoff teams are surging while the playoff teams are falling apart. This week alone, non-playoff teams will outscore the playoff teams by around 115 points. I can’t take the winner of the championship bracket seriously when the majority of the good teams aren’t even participating.

Every "expert" had NE above AZ and even after last week's lousy game against Houston, they didn't downgrade them.
So like a sheep I followed them and got killed for it.
Thank the fantasy Gods for Drew Brees last night as he offset Luck's record day.
I'm up 33 heading into tonight with my opponent down to Murray.
That is exactly what I said last week when my team closed out the regular season with the highest single scoring game in league history (just eclipsed 300 points ... full point PPR 18-starter IDP league). 200 points is usually the tipping point for a "good" weekly point total, as the league average is about 185 points. I thought for sure I was due for a bad game, and an early exit as the #1 seed in the playoffs. I hadn't scored less than 180 points all season long, and was sitting at halftime of yesterday's game with something like 45 points (14 of my 18 starters were playing, by the way, including all but one of my offensive players, so it was NOT looking good).Landro21 said:Broke the single game scoring record in my league ... my team is going to throw up a dud next week.
