Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

barring a miracle I'm about to lose to the team had to second least amount of points in the leg and I had Stewart and Rivera on my bench would have been a combined 40 more points and I got out of who I started over then

I'm done. I'm watching DT and Josh Gordon throw up three points combined against St. Louis's defense's 27 points. I've got Gronk and I'm watching SD bleed the clock. He's got Crosby to go. I'm going to lose to Andrew Luck and St. Louis.

Holy crow.

I started whining too early - despite horrendous days from Brees, Stills, Mason and Herron; my opponent found a way to lose and advance my terrible #6 seed into a battle against #2 next week. Thank you Peyton Manning for taking a day off. My 10 man bench outscored my 14 man lineup....terrible coaching getting rewarded.

Thought I was in the clear with DMurray and Cutler on Thursday but my oppenent had Lbell and JBell. I need an explosion out of Julio jones Gronk and Crosby or im done.

A brag and a pre-emptive vent about next week.

170 non-ppr points right now, with Gronk still playing and Lacy left to go....on my bye week.

Will probably put up 85 next week.

Up 35 with Sanders and McCoy against Edelman and Jordy... Now my season is over unless a miracle prevents Jordy from catching a few passes.

McCoy :####you:

7 of my 8 teams made the playoffs. Of these, only 2 will be moving on to the championship, thanks largely to dumpster fire performances by Drew Brees and Demarius Thomas.

Lost Nick Foles on 2 of the teams and had to pick up Sanchez. Didn't feel comfortable starting him against Seattle, so picked up Fitzpatrick and obsessed all week about whether I was seriously going to bench a Chip Kelly QB for the Beard. Ultimately went with the Beard, and was proven right! The Beard put up an inspiring 12 points against the Jags, compared to 9 for Sanchez! Sure, I still lost by over 20 in both of those games, but...

Oh, and I also will not be sending Christmas cards to Jay Gruden, Kyle Rudolph, or either of the Harbaugh brothers this year. It's nothing personal--it's just that I hate them. That is all.

Was up huge after 3 quarters. Then TY Hilton exploded against the Browns/Joe Haden of all people, then Demaryius Thomas proceeds to lay the biggest egg ever while CJ Anderson goes off for my opponent. To make matters worse I started the Lions D over Rams as I thought the Lions matchup vs Bucs was a better bet for big points.

Now heading into MNF he has Aaron Rodgers and Packers D left while I have Matty Ice. Only up 11. I think it's safe to say goodbye 2014 and the trophy sitting in my living room.

Slightly different details, same old T.Y. and Monday night futility. I thought this would be my year. I don't even have a trophy to say goodbye to. :suds:

Yeah, these are the worst. Saw one of my bye teams outscore everyone...impending goose egg in T-minus 7 days and counting.

On the flip side, saw the highest scoring, #1 seed, dominant team all year in one league sitting on bye and would have been beaten by any team he played this week because of duds from his studs so I guess he is happy.

Gotta be feeling a little better about the AJ Green/Haden matchup next week after seeing what Hilton did.

I bet a lot of Broncos-heavy teams bit the dirt yesterday.

Went 12-1 in the regular season; scored the most points in the league...

Because 8 teams make the playoffs (16 team league) there's no bye for finishing top-2 like most leagues. Played against Le'Veon Bell (53 points); also played against Curtis Lofton who posted 34 points (pretty insane for an IDP). Should've still won based on an average week for my team (~165 points in this league).

Peyton scored 2.7

Demaryius score 2.1

Mark Ingram and Denard sucked

Jordan Reed screwed me again

Salt in the wound -- CJ Anderson blew up for someone else after I 1) owned him for 18 months before finally cutting bait when he was a clear 4th on the depth chart; and 2) owned 3 different Broncos backs this year... then missed CJ by 2 spots on waivers after the Raiders game.

Repeated kicks to the balls while I'm on the ground -- I get nothing; jack squat from a total pot of $1200, despite finishing first, despite going 12-1, despite scoring the most points in the league... due to a flawed payout structure.

####.

The worst. I'm glad our league decided to award some of the pot to the regular season champion after this happened the first 3 years of the league.

Our regular season goes through week 14. I'll wind up 10-4, missing out on a BYE (week 15). My team pretty much sucks. I've been relying on Jordy/ODB, and a couple nice games form Shady (FINALLY) to guarantee a playoff spot. Prior to week 14, I own 6 games in a row, 5 of them by 3 pts or less. That kind of luck just has to correct itself.

Roddy White helped for a stretch, but now he's gimpy again. I've been forced to pick two out of Gio/Hill/Crowell these past two weeks, and they've been not good (Crow was o.k. week 14). This won't end well for me. Oh, and I'm also relying on Cutler. His 30 pts week 14 won't be replicated over the next few weeks. What a waste of a good performance from him.

That one bad throw from Luck to Herron (I have both) in the Red Zone cost me 26 points in our scoring system. The yardage would have put Luck above 300 (+5) and Herron over 50 yards receiving (+5). The TD would have been 7 for Heron and 7 for Luck with a 2 point bonus for a RB receiving touchdown.

You do realize this is the bragging, venting, crowing, greiving thread right?

Well, you didn't do any of these.

Was down 27.5 with only Lacy remaining.

Now down 1.5 but with 2 minutes left. :(

Starks stole the first TD.

Lacy missed the TD catch.

Starks got drive to start 4th.

Starks got final drive in 4th and 50 yards.

:kicksrock:

No surprise. Couldn't even watch the game tonight and listen to an idiot Gruden brother yammering in my ear while my record-breaking, top-scoring, beloved magic football team that I hand-picked, curated, traded for, etc. suffered its inevitable fate at the hands of Mason Crosby and lost by less than six, which was really the number I knew needed to be beaten. My season came up short an Odell Beckham (that one had me out of my seat because of his talent) and Josh Gordon drop and a Brady underthrow of Gronk in the end zone.

Given the same knowledge that I had, I'd do it all over again, I think. At least there's no second-guessing. Guys had bad games. I feel like I was beaten by the ineptitude that is Jay Gruden and Mike Pettine in Week 14.

Now I guess the real work begins and it's time to roll up the sleeves and get into some daily stuff, because I don't have the wherewithal other than for Ronco lineups next year.

Good luck to those moving on and I hope all you who've never tasted the prize in your main league/labor of love get to do so. Contrary to the phrase so often bandied about it, I do care about your ff teams. They fundamentally change Sundays and give us every reason to hang in through stop-and-go live action peppered with commercials. Gotta love the thrill. Best of luck.

Julio GOATING baby .... I was down 43 and had Julio, Lacy, Crosby and he had M. Bryant. I ended up winning by 43 :IBTL: :IBTL: :tebow: :tebow: :tebow: :tebow:

Another League I was down by 4 with Jordy, M. Bryant and GB d and he had A. Rodgers. I won by 4...

Thank you Jordy and Julio.........also that dropped td by lacy saved me in the second league....

Needed Lacy big last night....dropped that TD....did not get the first TD.....then I still had a shot...hanging on by thread until he had Roddy White score that garbage TD when Jones went out of the game.

Done.

Two teams left out of my 6 in the playoffs. Here is hoping to a great semi finals weekend.

Crowing: Won my first round playoff game against an owner who had AJ Green, Jonathan Stewart, ODB and Brady. Thank you TY Hilton, Julio Jones, Rams DST, and Lacy

Venting: Both Julio and Lacy are hurt now.

But Julio was on my team, and dropped 56 points when I needed 53. Still alive...

Can't even celebrate my upset victory over the 3 seed....just looked at next weeks matchup against the 1 seed.

Rodgers (@Buf)

LeVeon Bell (@Atl who does not play defense at all), Stewart (v TB)

Julio, Cobb, Maclin (and if any of those are hurt he has Hopkins ready to go)

Gostkowski (v Mia)

holy crap is that team loaded, no wonder he went 11-2

and any hopes of offsetting this with my stud IDPs have been dashed with injuries to LaVonte David and Jelani Jenkins....just have hope for 70-80 mph winds in BUF and Foxboro and Bell to eat some bad mayo I guess.

I had Stafford, Forte, Julio, Nelson, Harvin, St. Louis Rams D, set the league record for most points in a week. Too bad I had a first round bye thus wasting all those points this week

I scored the league's 2nd highest point total of the entire year this week. Rolled out Julio, AJ, Joique Bell, et all. I lost this playoff round to the league's season's new high point total that included Rams defense and L-Bell. To add further salt to the wound, I would have won if I followed my haunch and benched Keenan Allen.

What do they say, there's always next year?

Bad news. I hate to hear that.

As for the bolded, it's so…it's a long way away.

who is his te? His team isn't that scary. Rodgers, Bell Julio are only 3 scary guys and Julio is dinged up right now. Don't give up for sure or get down, play best line up try to pick up better D/kicker or te and play best line up. No one thought Demaryius/Mccoy/Gordon would combine for 9 points in ppr LOL

No, nobody thought Demaryius and Gordon were going for 3 combined in non-PPR.

Not anyone advancing to Week 15, anyway.
