Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (2 Viewers)

I winced when I drafted Landry and so far this season he's been everything i feared he would be. I'm praying Gordon, Anderson and Eli can lift my squad to a 3rd straight win
Not liking what I'm seeing. Counting on Eli for a big game has not turned out too well for me this season

I had Eiffert, Ertz, Bennett, and Brate. Wanted to trade one to get a rb. Guy wanted Ertz, but I talked him into Bennett. Doh. To make matters worse, I included Bernard in the deal and Hill just got hurt. Figures. The return wasn't bad, but still, doh! Gonna lose because of it to make things even worse.  Also Ertz was open all day, but Wentz had myopia today and just went with his first read all day.

Doesn't matter if it's Brady or not at QB looks like Edelman's maybe due to have a down year. Landry is unstartable as well with Tanasuck throwing the ball.

Theres an owner in our league who's clearly the worst owner in it. Always drafts terribly, strangely is prone to accumulating multiple kickers on occasion and sometimes 3 QBs and scant RBs. 3 weeks ago he dropped Palmer for Jared Goff. Sometimes doesn't start full lineups. Yet somehow he often seems to just fluke results against me in head to head. Once he beat me without playing a TE or a team D.

This week Bailey sat in his lineup all week, with him most likely blindly unaware that he was looking dubious to play for a while. He has the Chiefs D on a bye in his lineup. He had to pick up and start Buck Allen off the wire a day ago because his only RBS are Riddick/Abdullah/Stewart and Ingram and he hadn't even looked at increasing his RB depth due to injuries to Abdullah and Stewart, only doing so because Ingram is on a bye. Started Amendola at flex because his depth is so poor.

Yet this week he started Fitzgerald, Riddick ( who hasn't done anything since week 1 ) and Bennett against me and once again I am locked in a titanic struggle against him. More annoyingly, I drafted Bennett but had to let him go due to injuries. Same for Winston who he also starts against me tomorrow.

Match could still go either way, but I somehow knew this was another trap game. Would love to win it, 4-1 feels a lot better than 3-2.
Ouch! Good luck to you!

Had pick 12 in three leagues. Who do I go all in ? Gronk. Had better game today but Bennett scores X3 and flipping j. James out scores Gronk by 1. All my fault...

Starting the season with a 1-4 record. I have the best team in the league, 1st in points by almost 8 points per week. Seemingly drawing a team who has their best week every week. The 1st place team is 4-1, and averages 12 fewer points per week, and 25 fewer points against per week. Its insane. I haven't finished lower than 3rd in points in any week yet.

I had the highest score of the year so far and should have most total points when the dust settles and be in first.

QB: Big Ben

RB: Howard

RB: Hyde

WR: Brown

WR: Hilton

TE: Tye

Flex: Coates

K: Prater

DST: Buffalo

You and me both. High score of the year, first place, and first in points after today. Oh yea I still have Brate to go. Standard

QB Stafford

Wr Marvin Jones

WR D. Thomas

RB Zeke

RB McCoy

TE Brate

Flex Hyde

Kicker Adam Vinateri

Def Buffalo

Coates dropped a sure fire TD which alllowed Big Ben to hit Jesse James for a TD on the very next play. I'm down by 3 gritting my teeth on MNF

I started out the year with the following starting lineup in a keeper 12 team league

QB- Cam

RB 1- Gurley

RB 2-R. Mathews/Gio/Blount

WR1- A Brown

WR 2- Beckham

WR 3- Sanders/Desean

When I discussed this team with friends, they laughed and asked me if I was playing in a one person league, and I've never been so excited for a fantasy season

As my Points against is 50 points higher than the 2nd most, and almost everyone other than AB and Blount have underperformed, I'm now 2-3, and other than Cam missing this week, have been relatively healthy.  Sorry, just depressed needed to vent about this stupid hobby.

Barring a big Kelvin Benjamin game, I will win my week playing against David Johnson, starting Eli Manning, Pryor, and the Rams D. I thought it was over, now I have to cross my fingers through tonight...

It's just one of those years. My team looks great on paper but can't ever put it together on the same week so I'm about to fall to 1-4. Lamar Miller in particular is killing my team with 0 TDs on the year.

played vs olsen and bennett in both my leagues.  won one and lost one.  never fails. every week someone on the other team has a career game vs me

set the high score for the year with my crappy 5-0 team, with the assistance of the desperation play of Sammie Coates and Ryan Matthews.  This game is weird

In last four weeks I would have gone 34-9-1 in ALL PLAY. Lost 3 out of 4, now 1-4.

In 24 years, I've only started 1-4 one other time. 4-1 (twice in the 90s), 3-2 (12), 2-3 (8), 1-4 (2) - I think this reflects I often draft upside guys who take awhile to get going.

  1. got smoked by 50+, had the 11th highest score
  2. lost by <10, had 3rd highest score played high score
  3. lost by 3, had 3rd highest score played 2nd highest score
  4. tied 2nd highest score (in .xx decimal scoring), won easily
  5. lost by <19, had 4th highest score played 2nd highest score
I don't have a great team by any means, but 4th highest in points shouldn't equate to 11th place. Second in Points Against.

:kicksrock:

There are four teams at 2-3, and I've outscored three of them.
There are four teams at 3-2, and I've outscored three of them.

If I can just catch a break and go on a winning streak, should be fine and sneak into one of the 3-6 slots. No shot at a bye, though. Only 8 weeks to catch fire, figure I need to win 6-7.

Thanks to Mike Evans' heroics last night, I had my first 3-0 week and am still alive in the survivor contest.

5-0, 4-1 & 2-3 records.  Went 2-1 each of the first 4 weeks.  That 2-3 team was waiting on Bell to come back and I am #1 in points in the other two leagues.

Somehow eked out a win (by 0.3) in a league where I'm rebuilding, with Keenum, Stills, Walford and Nugent (totaling 7.8) in my starting lineup.

Better lucky, indeed.

5-0

better lucky than good
5-0 in one and 4-0-1 in the other....the tie was a loss until a score correction in Week 2.  The beauty of the combined 9-0-1 is that these are far from the best teams I have ever put together, but a combination of scheduling and some above projected output from some of my mid-tier guys is making the record look good.  Reality will set in once I hit the tougher part of the schedule.

You are 1-4.  You do NOT have the best team in the league

Grieving: picked up Jaquizz Rodgers to start at Flex, since I'd read Matthews was healthy, and Smallwood's role would be minimal. Put Rodgers into my lineup, thought I'd hit submit. Sunday AM I'm slammed at work and didn't have time to look at football until after 10:00, when to my horror I see Smallwood in my lineup. I lost by 8.x. I should have won by 4.x - and naturally, the 3 other teams in my division all won, putting me behind the 8-ball. Better to have it happen in week 5 than in week 12, though all wins are critical.  :wall:

Bragging: moved to #1 in my division and blew out my opponent in my worst BYE week in my IDP league with a total team effort. Lost Brees, Ingram, Derek Johnson, Snead & Thomas to the BYE, and thanks to Moncrief being hurt, had to pick up a WR. Used my 4th waiver priority to claim Coats, and wow was that worth the $4. Bonus - most of the league made claims so I ended up 5th on the priority list afterwards.  :excited:

Thankful: escaped a week with only very minor injuries. For the 1st week this season I didn't lose a starting [insert player here].  I hope you all had similar luck with that this week. Good luck in week 6.

I've had amazing luck so far. No majors injuries, have Bell and Elliot, rolling with Jordy and AR15 this week. Debating Cooper v Pryor v Snead for my Flex. 4-1, 4 win streak, and looking to steamroll my next opponent.

This isn't sustainable. Lets see what goes wrong.

This summer I drafted:

QB: Ryan, Brady

RB: CJ, Murray, Crowell, Howard

WR: AJ, Fitz, M. Jones, Fuller, Beasley

TE: Olsen, Graham

K: Bryant

DEF: Eagles

Looks like my late 2nd rd pick of CJ Anderson has gone from stud-steal to stinker in 5 weeks. Waited too long on Booker and now I have to pay up to the owner who snagged him.

Thought benching Rivers was going to backfire after he had 120/1 in the 1st quarter...think he had about 60yds the rest of the game.

Yeah after Week 1 thought I had the steal of the draft as my only legit RB - now he sucks and I still don't have an RB2 or bye week RB coverage.  The worst part is I have Booker, but he is unstartable until he takes over and CJA is not unstartable but certainly not an RB1.  Here's hoping Dixon and Dion Lewis show up, because my current backfield of CJA and Duke Johnson is pathetic.

About to have the best 3-3 team in fantasy history. Dynasty league.

QB: Carr

RB: Shady, Gurley

WR: ODB, Cooks, Fitzgerald (Jeffrey on bench)

TE: Gronk (Henry on bench)

PK: Gost

DEF: Bills

Disclaimer: didn't have Carr or Gronk to begin year. Started 1-3 because of that along with horrible luck.

Grief - dealing with crummy Eli Ll year. Cut him and - well you know 400 yards and 3 TDs

Brag - cutting Coates this morning and grabbing Beasley and starting him. Got me a three point win

Sat Ware for Lacy and sweating out SNF 4th quarter praying for Luck and Gore to squeek one out. Thinking Lacy's gotta sit on my bench until GB coaches get their heads out their asses and run Lacy in the RZ/GL.

Whew......Luck rush TD to open up the 4th qtr plus his now 51 yards rushing help immensely.

Either Tate or Britt would've locked up a win for me, and I left both on the bench. Now I need Palmer to outscore David Johnson in a PPR league...very shaky.

Week 6:

venting - it's official. I'm cursed in my D/ST league. After Roethlisburger goes down today, I'm down to Julio Jones as the one player without a Red Cross next to his name. Matty Ice will step into Big Ben's place, so if you're a Matt ryan owner, sell high immediately. Because as soon as he enters my starting lineup you're all at risk.' 2-4, and this team is cooked.   :censored:

Bragging - league 2 is IDP. 2x the starters and deeper bench and outside of Moncrief, this team doesn't have a single Red Cross. Brees is working out great & the combo of Brees, David Johnson & Mike Evans is raking up points - through my two worst BYE weeks I've been the highest scoring team and after this week the points leader.

Good luck to everyone in week 7.

A little of both... In my most important league I was predicted to lose by 28 points.

When the news broke that Arian Foster was active I sat James White and put Arian Foster into my lineup.  That move was worth -18.5 points in PPR. (Ajayi is also on my bench).

At the last minute I decided to sit Chris Hogan and started Spencer Ware. That move was worth +19.5.

The end result is that I am down 3 going to MNF.  My opponent is done and I have Folk and Bilal Powell.  I should pull out the victory!!!

After a 4-1 start, just scored my lowest total in the 23 history of my main league.  Worse, goodbye Roethlisberger who was one of my top scorers and an added hit to Antonio Brown.  Good thing I have CJ Anderson to carry the load....wait.

2-4

I've won two of my last three!

:lmao:

I'm thinking 24 years was a good run. Barely watch NFL games this year, always busy doing other stuff.

ETA: Nobody actually sits down and watches an entire game anymore, right?

Not even close. Red Zone all the way. Football is almost unwatchable on the whole. But RZ has a great flow to it and combined with fantasy is a lot of fun. Watching a single, slow, badly-officiated, commercial-filled game? Hahaha. PAIN.

COLTS ARE A Freaking MESS!!!  No talent on defense (except V Davis), bad play calling, no heart on this team, bad coaching, and bad general manager (Phillip Dorsett in the first round when they needed OL and defense?).  Werner?  Drafted Jerry Hughes in the first round, then gives up on him and he succeeds in Buffalo?  Fleener and Allen with early picks and Fleener is no longer on the team and Allen appears to be a bust?  Money spent on bad free agents a couple of years ago?  When will the Colts learn championships are built on defense?   Doesn't that idiot Grigson know you have to draft impact defensive players?  Arthur Jones?  Reitz?  Finially he wasn't in the starting lineup and that is good I guess.  Castanzo isn't even any good and he was supposed to be our best OL?   He's going to get Luck killed.   Robinson (DB) got eat up against the Bears last week..   I can see it now, the Colts will have 30 years of quarterbacking with Manning and Luck and have ONE Super Bowl to show for it.  What else is there to say?

Oh yeah, an idiot for an owner who somehow decided these two buffoons (Pagano & Grigson) deserved a contract extension when everyone else knew they should have been fired.  He must have been on some pills when he made that decision.  I used to think Irsay was so much better than his father but I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
