I seen a league with this scenario except the Daniels owner was down almost 30 and won. That team entered the playoffs 6-8. Thankfully we use a total points format.

Everything went perfectly for me this year. Good injury luck for a change, draft picks and waiver wires dropped to me, had a lot of easy weeks this year from start to finish. Which is why I fully expect to soon get hit by a bolt of lightning as an equalizer. 
10 team PPR league. Won this year despite waiting to draft a QB and starting Stafford in the playoffs. I had the 1st pick and took McCaffery and then Olave in the 3rd round. What paid off was getting McBride in the 7th and getting Bowers off waivers in week 2. I had Conner and added a bunch of FA RB's to give me options and kept my opponent from adding any good RB's. He had Walker and Hubbard both out. Here is the final result below. I am assuming Bates does not kick 20 field goals.

12 team, SF, IDP league where defense scores as much if not more than offense. I've been it it eight years and just won my second 'chip.
Regular season points leader, and top scorer of five weeks.
Having Herbert and Baker vs Rodgers and Rush helped, as did the trio of Chase, Thielen, and Thomas.

This was a gratifying win. Total season points leader but 6th place due to my enerring talent for playing against each week’s high point winner. Won my quarterfinal by less than 0.5 pts and had a roller coaster semi with lead changes galore across all four days of football, and 21 pts from Aubrey, then lost half of my roster to injury and started a bunch of guys straight off the wire (including dropping Aubrey for McLaughlin) in the finals. In the end rookies BTJ and Jayden were the difference makers.

Regular season points leader, 11-3 record. Lost Monty and then Lamb. Felt good with Lamar Jackson and Kelce’s efforts, of course Nico didn’t do me any favors. I thought I was ok with Hubbard and Achane, oops, and then I watched as my Colts D threw the game for Vegas. Lost the championship to the guy who’s won 3 years straight

Higgins and Purdy with career games made me look smart. I know I was lucky to win. Thanks for literally nothing, Colts D. I won't forget.

Meh. A day later, I'm over it. 8 managed redrafts and I made the playoffs in 4. I made the finals in 3 including my only high stakes league. This is about the best I've ever done, but I lost in all three. In the family league I finished 1st with the highest pf and a nephew got me in the final for the 2nd straight year. It wasn't close. In an "expert type" league with a few FBG (Bloom, Rudnicki) and a few other fantasy content guys from other sites, I got smoked by Ruds in the final. I finished first with the most pf again, but laid an egg with my lowest total of any week of the season. Pfff. In my only high stakes league I again had a first place highest pf team go down after posting a huge lead to the guy who had Goff, LaPorta and Bates last night. UGH!!! What a night.
120 Bball leagues with a little over $500 invested did pay off a couple grand so there's that.

Still down Hurts at QB, had to start Bryce Young. Put Charbonnet in over Hubbard going on IR but kept Jerome Ford in over JK Dobbins first game back. Picked J Jennings over J Meyers for WR3 with AJB and D London as other 2. Njoku out, don’t trust Hock, picked up Okonkwo. Streamed SEA defense.
Opponent had LJax, K William, C Brown, Sutton, Jonnu Smith, and Kittle
I still won by 12, mainly thanks to having the King Derrick Henry and SEA defense. The $2k to winner is nice but it’s all about the WWF style championship belt

Slight sellers remorse in a 14 team ppr DEVY league where I needed RB help in the latter part of this season and I traded Xavier Worthy for Zach Charbonnet. While I do believe that future targets may be an issue for Worthy with Brown and eventual return of Rice, I’m not sold on Charbonnet’s talent. So I’m kind of wishing I hadn’t made that decision.

I have two teams, both played against the Vikings DST this week which outscored any player on either of my teams. Sigh.

In my dynasty league, 5 of my 6 WRs scored under 6 points in full PPR (Franklin, Nabers, Boutte, Kupp, and Diggs) and the only one over 6 was Ladd with 8. They totaled 165 yards receiving on the day.

I don’t mind a little roster room to add some players, but now I have Hopkins and Renfrow …so what good does that do me. And now I have “extra” IR players with no IR slots left so I’m limited in what I can do.
Trades, etc…of course, but just venting.

Lost this week after scoring 210ish points week 2; would have a winning record in All Play.
WHO cares?! Lions have scored 90 points & gained 900+ yards in back to back games for the first time in 75 years.

I have never had as much bad luck in fantasy football as I am having this year. Every week I am projected to win and every week I take a loss. In 5 leagues and always seem to face the high point scorer. Jeanty blow up week I faced him in 3 leagues. Ebuka blow up game I faced him in 3 leagues. Just comical at this point.

I went up against Taylor, Gibbs and London. I might have lost.
Playing FF for over 20 years.
I have never seen a year like 2025. This year is filled with boom/bust inconsistencies + so many injuries to key positions.
In my league, the top team is 10-0. The only consistent player he has is Jonathan Taylor. He has gotten away with so many lineup blunder moves trying to play matchups with the rest of his mediocre team. Each week he makes questionable waiver moves. Last week he played the JJM + Jefferson + Addison stack. Yet here comes Taylor to save his week.
Here I am, subscriber to FBG. I read the articles. I watch the podcasts. I look at various rankings.
And because I own players like AJB, Sutton I am sitting at 4-6. Last night was the final straw for 2025 for me. I had AJB + Goedert and needed 8 points by halftime. I have a slimmer of hope to make the playoffs and I'll still do what I can. I just feel like this pitiful blue collar worker compared to the corporate mogul who lucked out on drafting Taylor. I just cannot wait for this year to end.

I had basically the same exact thoughts this week. I'm the construction worker busting my hump from sun-up to sun-down trying to win a bank account contest against Bezos or Musk.
Three dynasty leagues where I'm contending this year. In all 3 leagues this week I faced guys that are openly tanking/rebuilding. They're starting guys like Mack Hollins, George Holani, Xavier Leggett, Devin Neal, Darnell Washington, Bam Knight, using TE's like Juwan Johnson and Elijah Arroyo in their SF slot because they've sold all their good players and are trying as hard as they can to get the 1.01.
But in one league I faced Davis Mills + JT. In another I faced Achane + Stafford. In the third I faced Gibbs + McBride. Of course, I went 0-3. Just burns me up when I make the correct start/sit call (using Marks over Dobbins, starting Jamo over Doubs) trying to navigate byes and injuries and it's all for naught because JT goes for 3 TDs every single week.
