Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

My opponent was done, I had CMC left and needed about 10 from him in PPR. I was down 0.7 when he left the game. If he’d broken that tackle on his next to last run or turned around when Purdy threw to him at the goal line, I would have won.

I am essentially eliminated from the playoffs barring a miracle where I have a huge week and another guy has a terrible week.

Trotted out Goff, Gibbs, Chubba, Kupp, CD, Dell. Worst week ever and eliminated from championship contention. Winston’s points on the bench was the final kick in the nads.

Up a comfortable amount and then I got Jerry Jeudy'd last night. Still have a path towards our playoff bracket but losing made it harder.

By far the worst fantasy season for me ever this year as far as bad luck goes. Just need a win today to clinch last playoff spot and facing a team I am heavy favorite against with his Lamar Jackson on Bye. I get a nice start Thursday with Jacobs and am actually scoring very well today. However, once again my opponent scores 40-50% more than projected. Addison over 100 with 3 TDs, Garret Wilson over 100, Nucua going off in 1st half, and Rashaad White goes off for 100 yards and 2 TDs when Bucky goes out with injury. Expect Dowdle to have 100 yards and 2 TDs tomorrow night.

Thought I had a pretty good RBs heading to playoffs, boy was I wrong. James Cook apparently now a backup, Breece seems to be checking out for the year. His backup Braelon Allen stinks and still can't be a starter over a 3rd stringer & Brian Robinson who only plays 1st half of games.

Was a must win week for me to get into the playoffs. What a roller coaster. Injuries and bye weeks had me starting Noah Gray, Sincere McCormick and Blake Corum so after Jayden Reed got a 0 Thursday night, I pretty much gave up hope. Then my Darnold-Jefferson stack went wild and all of a sudden I was projected 95% to win. Unfortunately, my opponent had Josh Allen. Needless to say, I won't be in the playoffs this year.

I am projected to lose this week and would fall to 7-7. But in another matchup a miracle comeback happened and drug another potential 7-7 team down to 6-8 just now, guaranteeing me a playoff spot. Won’t get far in the playoffs but at least I made it.

You never know, anything can happen if you're in.

as commish i always post a playoff scenario ahead of week 14 games. and again before the monday night game.

I just finished the monday night scenarios and crazy enough if one manager benches his 2 monday night guys and loses his matchup he becomes a playoff lock. if he doesnt bench his guys and wins (he's currently projected to win by 13) he probably has a 30% playoff chance. This single matchup also alters the playoff landscape as two owners will be impacted based on whether or not this guy benches his players. we have a league rule about setting a lineup but it would only amount to a small fine. I'm hesitant to release the playoff scenarios before the game because im nearly certain no one else in my league has crunched the numbers to figure this out (it took me an hour to draft the document). i'm currently planning on releasing them right after kickoff monday night. people will be mad either way. what would you do?

our league awards the 6th and final playoff seed to the team with the most points not already in the playoffs. the team in question would win this playoff spot by losing the matchup, and if he wins matchup he'd then be competing with 2 others for the points spot because we have so many teams tied at 8-6

I’m a dullard and still don’t understand. This needs more explanation. How can you be both in the playoffs and out of the playoffs? If he’s 8-6 and tied for a playoff spot, and he loses the tiebreak, then he’s not in the playoffs and he competes with all the other teams that are 8-6? What’s his record? How many points does he have?

Have you guys put yourself in a circular logical circuit?

Needed a win and someone else to lose to sneak into the playoffs in my dynasty league. The other guy lost, and assuming Chase Brown gets even half of his projection I will have the second highest score of the week. Am facing Allen/Darnold - Jacobs/Hubbard - Addison/KAllen/Thielen/Adams - Engram for a league record weekly points total

This one's gonna hurt. I subbed in Bucky Irving at the last minute for Jauan Jennings. I'm up by 30, but my opponent has Cooper Rush and Jamar Chase tonight. I've still got Higgins, but it seems like every time I face Chase he goes nuclear.

VENTING.......

Thought it was going to be a good team.

Maybe The "Biggest All Bust Team" ever??

QB: Mahomes - Bust, 8 games under 20 points, which is low (My league 6 pts per TD) sick of his 200 yards passing and 1 TD a games like last night
RB; MacCaffrey - Bust, enough said, even the 4 games back never sniffed the endzone
RB: Walker - Semi Bust, ...#20 scoring back in my league and expectations were much higher
RB: Dowdle - Bust, 1 good game all year , last week
WR: Wilson: Not a bust???, Adams certainly changed things
WR: London - Bust from the early Draft hype and Draft spot, One 100 yard game
WR: Dell/Judy - Lower end semi busts, Thought Dell would take off after Diggs went done but it got worse, Winston revived Judy the last few weeks!
TE: Kelce - Semi Bust, 2 Td's, had some volume games, turned into an average TE in a weak fantasy football position

In a tie game. Have Dowdle vs Turpin. Need the win to get in the playoffs.

you're just going to have to trust me on this one. right now we have five 8-6 teams. we may have six dependent on tonight. only 6 playoff spots available. The #1 seed is decided. And the #6 seed goes to most points not currently int he playoffs. so there are 4 playoff spots for 5 or possibly 6 8-6 teams. H2H tiebreaker winners change based on who's in the 8-6 group . ive been doing this for a long time and i've never seen something this goofy before.

I replaced Juan Johnson with Cole Kmet on one of my dfs teams because I thought I had too much Johnson exposure. I’m pretty sure this team would have won massive money with Johnsons 15 compared to the goose egg. I’m afraid too look.

In a must win, I added Ray Ray late Saturday got 18 pts, just didnt feel good about Coleman playing for Bills, and he didnt. Then had to add Cooks when Pickens was out. Am up nicely heading into tonight, have Dowdle, Cooks and Parsons going vs Golston. Should be a slam dunk. Next week playoffs will be another story, but like SMU, I'm happy to be there.

I can't really be mad about getting knocked out by Josh Allen. My team didn't really deserve a playoff spot and it's 100% my fault. I didn't pay close enough attention, missed out on my chances to fix my RB2 spot (I used Mostert or Jaylen Wright most of the year so yeah). I had a bubble team and I missed the cutoff, it's a fair result.

If I have any real legit venting, it's just the way my dynasty league went. Took the team over in 2021 and they were absolute garbage. A team that clearly had been pushed max all-in prior years and now everyone was washed up, no picks, no young exciting players. I went full rebuild and last year got them into the championship game. Coming into this year, I thought I was bound for another deep playoff run. Intead, I started the year 1-7. Then to add insult to injury, I started winning a few late season games just to make sure I got a boring 4th slot in the draft and not Jeanty.

Thinking to August and imagining that without any major injuries, this was a bottom barrel roster is mind blowing to me

QB: Hurts, Goff
RB: Gibbs, Montgomery, Cook, ETN
WR: Tyreek, Amon Ra, DJ Moore, Devonta Smith, Jayden Reed, Darnell Mooney
TE: Mark Andrews, Isiah Likely
Def: Browns, 49ers
K: Fairbain

I'm confused about your RB issue. You used Mostert and Wright as RB2? But the roster says Gibbs, Montgomery, Cook, and Etienne. I must be misunderstanding.

ETA: Okay nevermind, I'm stupid. I knew you started the second paragraph about your dynasty league, but for some reason I was thinking you were talking about the same league, but going back to discuss what happened in the earlier years. I get it now.

EATA: Wow, even knowing what those players have done, hard to believe you started 1-7. I'd bet that you are top 3 in points against.

I have a long streak of making the playoffs. To continue it after facing J Allen and Puka, I needed Chase to outscore Higgins by 38.5. Was down just under 10 before that last TD. Most incredible thing in my 29 years playing fantasy football. :devilish:

In another league, I drafted CMC 1.01, Etienne in the 2nd, Aiyuk in the 4th, Pittman in the 5th, Stroud in the 6th. Worst drafted team ever to make the playoffs? :ROFLMAO:

I don't know whether to feel good or bad about this. If I had left Jennings in, I'd have lost by a point. Because Chase indeed went nuclear.

If, before the season began, I told you my roster included:

Jayden Daniels (who would go on to be ROY candidate)
Sam Darnold (who would be a top 6 FF QB at regular seasons end)
Bijan Robinson
Jonathan Taylor
Kenneth Walker
AJ Brown
Drake London
Marvin Harrison Jr

Would you have thought I’d fail to even make the playoffs? How is this even possible? 6 or 7 of those players will be selected in the first two rounds in 2025, yet when assembled as a team, they suck? Make it make sense.

Set a new league high scoring record last night in a dynasty that has been running since 2010, that I have never won a title in. Gotta get the job done this time!

I nearly finished at .500 with a CMC, Etienne, Olave, Lamar, Cooper, KAllen, Ridley, Njoku, Spears and Benson first 10 rounda

One good thing about the beginning of week 15 is everyone who is iin the playoffs haven't been eliminated yet :) This is one of my favorite week's of the season. I wish you good luck on Sunday's. May the fantasty Gods shower you with magic dust to steer you to victory.

#2 seed in my league got 49 from Allen and 43 from Davante. Then 35 combined from Saquon, Gus E., Breece, Kupp, Amari Cooper, Ertz and Otton.

I’ve been a middle of the road team all year just scraping by to get above .500

Knocked my boss out of the playoffs last week and my friend who happens to be a co-worker out this week.

Anything else will be icing on the cake.

The good: Looks like I'm advancing in the playoffs in all 6 of my leagues unless Cousins gets 31 points. The bad: I'm probably done in at least half of those leagues in week 16 due to the matchups. Such is fake football.

That's all she wrote for my fantasy team. Honestly after the draft I was feeling like I could make a deep run. Then Pacheco got hurt week 2, and Hall was such an up and down player and he didn't provde stable RB1 numbers like I thought. Lamb lost Dak and Stroud was a bust. Honestly was shocked I still made the playoffs but not shocked to be exiting round 1. Cheers to a hard year.

10 Team league and whiffed on 7 or 8 of my first 10 draft picks. 1. CMC, 2. Pacheco, 3. D. London, 4. M.Pittman Jr., 5. T.McBride, 6. Diontae Johnson, 7. KAMARA, 8. J.Brooks, 9. SMITH-NJIGBA, 10. Purdy.
Despite those picks, giving up the most points in the league, and a differential of -121.54, it Looks like I'll get the 4 seed at 9-6. Up 100.35 to 28.55 (projected 100.35 to 67.63). I have London and he has Darnold, Jefferson. D.Moore, McCloud, and Bowers.
Luckily, I also drafted 11. GOFF, 13. TAYSOM HILL (his two best weeks was when I had to play him over McBride), 14. SHAKIR, 15. J.MASON and free agent pickups IRVING and JEUDY. I won 6 games by less than 20 and lost 4 by over 40.

Last week in one league - second highest score of the week against opponent in straight eliminator to make playoffs, run into 200 point team
This week in another league - second highest score of the week in first round of playoffs, run into 200 point team

In All Play, I would have gone 10-1. High score of the season for me, but it wasn’t enough.

9-6, with a record of 1-5 when I scored over 150 points. After getting drubbed Week 1, went 8-0 the rest of the way when scoring less than 150.

:lmao:

Another year wasted. Probably as good of a time as any to retire from this hobby.

Main dynasty league, had gone to 7 straight Conf Championships, was looking that way again then just stunk it up the last month, limped to a bye first round but got donkey stomped in div round. Haven't sniffed a league ship game in 4 seasons now.

Finally pushed me over the ledge to set fire to the whole roster and start a rebuild.

5 trades in 2 days, 7 players out (all over 28), 4 players in all under 27 and 3 early draft picks.

Feel like the weight of the world had been lifted and I'm embracing the suck for the next year or so to rebuild.

Lost both matches where I was in the winners bracket; WON both where I'm in the Toilet Bowl bracket. Because of course.
