Carolina at N.Y. Giants: Well, the Giants are still minus Plaxico Burress, but the offense does have RB Brandon Jacobs back and that's a plus after last week's disaster in Dallas. This is a huge game for Carolina because they have never played in a game where a victory meant they would have the home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. In the Panthers' 14-year history, they have played in three championship games, all on the road. So, this is the biggest regular-season game in franchise history. And gaining home field is pretty important, considering Carolina was 8-0 at home this season.

FWIW, I read a report that Jacobs was pissy that the coaches held him out last week but, perhaps, that helped he get back to close to 100% now.

Good chance that is just 'player-speak', but there you go.

Does anyone know exactly how healthy Jacobs is? I feel comfortable starting a 100% Jacobs, but if he's at 60% and going to share carries with Bradshaw and Ward, then I'm not so sure...

I haven't seen or heard anything and feel the same way you do. I figured Sammy Morris was an obvious start this week until I see all these reports here.

Just want to thank this poster. I was high on Jacobs myself, but had been getting nervous with Roddy White, Deshaun foster, and Brandon Marshall the other flex plays I could use.I could not seem to find anyone else to reinforce my opinion until this. Went with BJac and won some $$$. Would tell ya how much, but you would probably want a cut rightfully so. I will be one of the first to join your website tho. Thanks again!!!!!
