We won't know anything offical until Friday unless he practices Today or Thursday. Some beat writer wrote that the smart thing to do is sit him again... but I disagree; this game is too important, Giants lose here... and they would be 1 - 3 in their last 4.They play so much better when hes in the line up... the only Team that beat them when he played was Dallas.. and that 2nd game was very close until BJ's TD was taken away and they NYG fell apart. So as a Team, they need him. if hes ready... get him out there; limit his touches if need be but get him rolling.Crickets so far....any updates?
Chris Carlin from WFAN just reported that Jacobs worked on indivdual drills today... no mention of Sunday; but this is a good sign to me.Giants | Ward practicing WednesdayWed, 28 Nov 2007 09:17:15 -0800Arthur Staple, of Newsday, reports New York Giants RB Derrick Ward (groin, ankle) is participating in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.![]()
EXCELLENT! I'm hoping Jacobs is held out one more week in order to get full strength again! That's good news for a Wednesday.Derrick Ward-RB- Giants Nov. 28 - 5:09 pm et Giants RB Derrick Ward (groin, ankle) returned to a complete practice Wednesday and will play in Week 13, barring setbacks.Ward could be sore on Thursday after making it through his first full practice in over a month, but should be active at Chicago. We'd guess Ward would get a few more touches than Reuben Droughns, but Droughns remains the favorite for any goal-line opportunities. Either would be a risky flex play.Source: giants.com Related: Reuben Droughns Brandon Jacobs-RB- Giants Nov. 28 - 5:07 pm et Brandon Jacobs (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday. He took part in individual drills and doesn't seem likely to be available to face the Bears. Derrick Ward and Reuben Droughns figure to share carries.Source: giants.com

Wards been out for a few weeks now and I really want to plug him into the lineup this week. Sharing carries and first real contact in a month...... Thoughts on production anyone?Giants | Ward will start Week 13Sat, 1 Dec 2007 05:24:28 -0800Tara Sullivan, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Giants RB Derrick Ward (ankle, groin) will start the team's Week 13 game, but he is expected to share the rushing load with RBs Reuben Droughns and Ahmad Bradshaw.![]()
I think it will be a true 50/50 split this week. They really can't afford to have Jacobs and Ward hurt so they will lighten his load. Droughns will definitely get GL carries, so Ward is probably a marginal play IMHO. PPR league, maybe a little better.Wards been out for a few weeks now and I really want to plug him into the lineup this week. Sharing carries and first real contact in a month...... I agree, if you don't have any other quality options, he isn't horrible, but I don't see more than 50-70 yards and the outside chance of a TD. This was my feeling as well, It seems like they've been trying to balance the 2 between injuries in effort to make sure they have at least 1 guy healthy. It is a deep roster PPR and I sit Jurivcous and his 4-7 catches and 60 -80 yards every week. With Braylon not 100% that might be the play. Thanks for the thoughts fellas. Sorry dont wanna turn this into a WDIS. good luckI agree, if you don't have any other quality options, he isn't horrible, but I don't see more than 50-70 yards and the outside chance of a TD.
