Brandon Lloyd had 10 targets today, and 10 last week. What are your thoughts on him going forward??

Brandon Lloyd caught six passes for 124 yards and a TD against the Bucs in Week 3.Lloyd was targeted more than any other Bears' receiver for the second consecutive week. He has emerged as the one Bears' wideout with some legitimate fantasy value, and could emerge as a viable WR3 if he keeps it up.

I've been pondering this since last week.

You can't argue the fact he's getting targets of late......but I just can't seem to get excited about a guy who is relying on "The Bearded Wonder" to generate fantasy points. Maybe that's short-sighted of me. I'll readily admit that.

He had a great game this week. Just not one I see him replicating anytime soon. So, consider, if he's still on your WW(and he probably is in a lot of leagues) he probably just blew his biggest nut of the year this week. AND ended any chance of picking him up on the cheap, most likely.

As a Chicago fan, it's just so hard to pull the trigger here. The good thing is that Orton trusts him and Lloyd is reunited with his college coach, Ron Turner. He's always had the talent.

The bad news is that the Bears will only ask/allow Orton to get the ball to Lloyd when needed. The Bears are very content, stupidly, to lean hard on their defense for wins. Too hard on their defense.

Orton looked good going to Lloyd today, but didn't look so good going deep last week. We still don't know what we have with Orton, unfortunately. All that said, he's the #1 and in sync with his QB. That's more than can be said for Berrian, Gage, and some others. I think he's in the same boat with those two.

...and then the defense caves in the 4th-Quater.
It makes me so pissed. The Bears D is geared to dominate games *as long as* they are not on the firld too much. They are smallish at many spots, which means they will lose effect (IMO) as the game wears on if they are out there too much. All the offense needs to do is sustain drives here and there a little longer... but they specialize in 3 and outs, ESPECIALLY once a lead is built. That sets up the defense to lose...

hank baskett would be better. Good offense....clicking with mcnabb.
Always thought that there were too many targets in Phi, esp. when Curtis returns. Lloyd seems to represent better long term value -- regardless of who the QB is, it's worth noting an emerging receiver consistently getting looks, especially when the QB does not have too many obvious alternative options to throw to.
