Breaking Bad on AMC (2 Viewers)

They did a great job with the start of that scene. The phone is sitting on the counter. She is looking at it.....oops knife.
Exactly, I couldn't decide whether she was going for the Phone to call the police or grab a knife and slit Walt's throat
I must be the only one with a problem with this scene, hear me out.

By now we know that Skylar is no innocent babe in the woods, heck didn't she a few episodes ago want Jessie dead, so she is up to her neck in it, BUT suddenly she has found her morality because of the death of Hank, and in doing so has son having to defend her against Walt - when in fact it washer who slashed him with the knife.

Screw Skylar I hope the Nazis gang-rape her.
That's why I was rooting for Walt in that scene too. I know Gilligan really wants us to empathize with Skyler but it's virtually impossible for me to do so.
Interesting, why did you cut out FSM's last line in his post?

I just never understand the Skyler hate. She has done some bad things, but Walt is the real monster here. I can't see why anyone would side with him
Skyler has ALWAYS been my least favorite character. It's perfect how in the beginning the most innocent character, the real victim, morphs into the person you can't stand. Great writing and acting. Last night was the first time in a long time when I sympathized with Skyler again. When she confronted Walt about Hank that was awesome and then not letting him off the hook for it, the most likeable thing she has done since we met her in season one.

Anna Gunn was awesome, all those dramatic scenes were perfect and we got a beautiful contrast in the first scene from the very beginning when life was simple and she was happily married to show us how far we've come. Such great contrast.

I have a feeling that Lydia will kill Todd in true femme fatale stye, if only because she knows that Jesse can cook the blue meth. Also, got to believe that she wants to rid herself of all connections to the nazis.
She needs the Nazis for muscle.

Is she going to kill all the Nazis too?
Maybe I am forgetting something, but I'm not sure why she needs the nazis for muscle. I think she only needs the right cook and whole lotta methylamine. No reason at all for the meth-making operations to remain in NM, and I don't think she can be tracked back to Houston (or anywhere for that matter) by the New Mexico nazis (I hate New Mexico nazis). ... If I were her I sign Jesse up for the Meth Protection Program and ship Jesse and the methylamine over to Czech republic.

Having watched them all recently on DVD that part still hit me like it was 5 years ago. That conversation in the opening scene between Walt and her was just great.

THERE IS NO RICIN CIG ANYMORE. JUST A VILE.
I guess they dont sell cigarettes in New Hampshire that he can easily place it in
People just keep saying "the ricin cigarette" like that's what Walt got from the house. He got ricin. It's not in cigarette form, nor was it ever going to be smoked. It was just hidden in it, while still in a glass vile that would not have allowed any burning ricin to be inhaled. I'm not even sure ricin will kill you once it's on fire (probably, but I have no clue).
OK so they can show a quick 5 second scene of him going to the store and buying a ####in pack of cigarettes
Heisenberg's master plan is to hope Todd, Lydia, Jesse, or whomever will want to bum a cigarette off of him after having disappeared 6-9 months ago.

And she needs them to not want to kill her, cause they could do that fairly easily.
Between Walt, the Nazis, and potentially Jesse, Lydia is dead semi-hot woman walking.

Question that may have been asked already----Anyone think that the Flash Foward in the beginnig may have been the final scene of the show?
I think it's how the next episode will begin.
For some reason, I just get the feel that next week will be a bit meandering (what did you do over your summer vacation-esque) going from this moment to Mr. Lambert in a Denny's. Transition episode rather than lots of action.

no ####### way

this season has been balls out from the word go, no way they make the next to last episode a filler or transition. There is still a lot of ground to cover over a reasonably long period of time

At this point, the police and DEA have nothing. Any recording of Walt's call to Jesse would have had to been in Hank's car, it also should be inadmissible. Jesse's confession is worthless without him appearing in court. They've got no physical evidence. He admitted to nothing in his call to Skylar. Its not even like he broke a custody agreement when he took Holly. About the only thing they could get him on right now would be domestic abuse/assault on Skylar. But that falls apart unless Walt Jr perjures himself.

BTW, still rooting for Walt.

Jesse's confession might not hold up on its own, but it would give the DEA lots of leads to pursue. Of course they have to get the tape first.

 They have him saying on the phone call to his wife that he killed a DEA agent.

Even if she gets an immunity deal, she can't testify about anything her husband told her without his consent. And in most states she couldn't testify about anything Walt did absent the assault charge. Maybe some of the conspiracy to launder money, though you run into issues with attorney privilege (Saul) there.

He most definitely does not say that.

So now that Jesse gave up the location of his confession tape, how many more innocent people are going to die? Marie? Skylar? Walt Jr? The baby?
This is my thought as well. Marie moves Skylar and the kids to her house. The Nazis come looking for the confession tape and kill all of them, maybe not Holly.

This is what brings Walt back.
That would require Jesse really holding out for awhile.
He's already given in and told them the location of the tape. It's possible walt disappears, the nazi's wipe out his family, and it takes saul a few months to track him down and get him the information so he can return for revenge.
Maybe Jesse said it was at Walt's house to get a little revenge on Walt.

so i bought and watched season one on my flight this morning. now i wish i watched this show and have to figire out how to catch up without spending a fortune

Why would walt want to save Jessie?

How could walt possibly find out that they are holding him to cook?

I would imagine after last night its going to be pretty difficult to get in touch with him so its going to be interesting to see how it all comes together.
Walt has been torn from go. Flashes of bad Walt (stealing baby) and good Walt (calling to get skyler off the hook, and returning the kid). We are seeing the battle between walt's good and evil and he's still showing flashes of humanity.

The resurfacing of blue meth on news would be an easy plot device to let him know that the nazis not only didnt fulfill their end of the deal in killing Jesse, but they are profiting off his product. I think that trips his pride (something we've seen before) and sends him back to ALBQ to settle matters. He's dying. Who cares about suicide missions.

My thoughts on saving Jesse comes when he sees the shell of a man he is, chained up beaten and used to make meth. I think deep down Walt feels responsible for dragging Jesse into this and destroying his life. There are flashes of his evil side when he's emotional (ie telling Jesse he watched chick die), but I also think there is still that humanity there. I think walt's call and subsequent drop off of the baby was indended to show that.

Those looking for major plot twists and side bars.... Eh... We have 2 episodes left. Not much room for this to zig too hard. We know Walt runs to NH. We know around his bday he returns with a large arsenal and picks up the ricin.

That's likely the opener for the last episode meaning that showdown is the series finale. Next episode is the lead up to that showdown (Walt heading into hiding, then something triggering his return).

Anyone expecting a happy alls well that ends well ending is likely to be disappointed though. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone dies in a meth lab explosion.

Anyone can make "blue" meth. Declan's crew did it before they met Heisenberg. "You add food coloring to yours to make it look like mine." And he's out of that business now. He's fine with Lydia owning the brand. Seeing blue meth on the streets won't mean anything to him. It won't mean Jesse's alive, it's just as likely there's a copycat out there again. I don't see why he'd care.

I think the flashforward is from the last episode... Wasn't that the case with last time they did this at the start of a season?

He would care because they took Jesse away in front of him and promised to kill him. The "good" blue meth resurfacing would be a good sign that they didnt kill him. Walt's no dummy and would put 2 and 2 together. If you're thinking I'm asserting that he's upset primarily because they're making his product, you're missing the point. Taking his money then not fulfilling their end of the bargain (killing Jesse) is the trigger here imo. If things go that way.

I'm sorry but with 2 episodes left I am not sure who else hes going up against with that kind of firepower? Zero chance w new super villain in introduced this late in the game. No way.

No, they don't.
"you will never see hank again"...."he is dead because he crossed me..." Maybe not an exact admission, but to act like they don't have him on anything is silly. Two DEA agents went to the desert. One called his wife to say he arrested Walt. The two agents have gone missing as has Jesse Pinkman (their informant).
