Breaking Bad on AMC (2 Viewers)

I think what RN is saying though is, couldn't Walt Jr have had the same effect on Walt's psyche and self-worth without being so annoying?
:goodposting:
He's playing a teenager.That's what they do.
Victoria Justice doesn't annoy me.
:goodposting: So when should we expect you to start getting Victoria Justice tats all over your body?
I hope her career fizzles. Need to get her making straight-to-DVD B-movies.

Did we really need Bunny Colvin on The Wire? Couldn't we just throw Rawls into that role and be done with it?
good lord.
:goodposting: Bunny rules.
You have to know when you take even the smallest of shots at The Wire on this board you are going to hear about it. Dont mess with Bunny. Season 3 was great.
Oh don't get me wrong - I do too. The point I was trying to make (badly apparently - I should have just stuck w/ quinn and cooper - those were better examples anyway) was these secondary characters play a role. I think having a handicapped teenager is a big part of who Walt is and why he acts the way he acts.I just don't see how the character takes away from the show. At all, really.

Some people might wish The Wire left out Ziggy. I could do without Herc but both do play a role.
Good example with Ziggy. He got on every last nerve, but once the downward spiral of his character was complete it was almost worth it. So many of his scenes seemed forced. The hilarity of bringing a duck into the bar ( ), the "Love Child" prank, thinking he could win a fight against Andre the Giant, etc.Herc though, I gotta disagree there. He was almost always hilarious.

- Asking the little hopper where he buys those 'sideways' hats...

- And need I mention... GUS TRIANDOS!

:lmao:

Why is their marathon at 2am?
Probably a ploy to get ratings at that time of night from obsessed insomniacs and DVR users.
yeah, I don't care what time it's on, I've been DVR'ing them. Besides the commercials, I can fast-forward through Hank's wife's shoplifting, Skylar's affair with her boss and a bunch of other scenes.
:goodposting: on the bolded part.
This is the difference between The Wire and Breaking Bad IMO. I'm not skipping any scenes, even Ziggy and Herc.

Just re-watched crawl space last night. The laughing over the last 2 min of the episode was fantastic. Almost a clockwork orange feel to it.

The main reason I'm fast-forwarding is because they're showing it in mini-marathons. Just don't have time to watch 3 or 4 episodes a day. If they did the same with The Wire, I'm sure there would be some sceens to jump past. Cutty trying to open up his gym, Lt. Daniel's and Rhonda's affair among others.

"One Minute" showing tonight. I don't know why that episode doesn't get more love.
IMO, it's the greatest episode of any show ever.
It's definitely on the short list.
If you can get by the absurd notion that killing Hank with the gun was "too easy" and that he would casually stroll back to the car - in broad daylight - to get the ax. But... rule #1 with this show is suspending disbelief.

I gathered that it was hank starting to mentally rehab. He was taking an onterest in something instead of sitting around pouting all day. Marie belittles it and then Walt comes in shows him up and, inadvertently, pushes him back to doing cop work.

And miss Lance Reddick's naked, weird, robot body?

After watching the replays the past few weeks (3rd time watching series) I forgot how funny this show can be. Sure the craziness and violence is what sticks with you but man, do the writers/actors bring the lols. I couldn't stop :lmao: last night when Jesse first met Gale in the lab with his busted eye not to mention all the other funny lab scenes (Gale and Walts initial love fest + Jesse's alone time whilst waiting for Walt).

Like when Hank has them trapped in the RV and Walt is telling Jesse what to say. Jesse HAS to add b*tch to the end of one of the lines. The look on Walts face is hilarious.

:lmao: one of my favorite lines.....Yeah, science!

Just noticed the guy who sold the twins the bullet-proof vests is one of the McPoyle brothers from Sunny in Philadelphia

i noticed I've been throwing in a lot of #####es and yos to complete my sentences in casual conversation ever since Jesse appeared in my 'life'. Those who haven't watched Breaking Bad are always  b/c I appear straight laced, have a good job/education, etc..

one of my favorite lines is right after Skylar leaves the message telling Walt that she will get a restraining order. he grabs his junk and screams "restrain THIS!"
