I think what RN is saying though is, couldn't Walt Jr have had the same effect on Walt's psyche and self-worth without being so annoying?

He's playing a teenager. That's what they do.I think what RN is saying though is, couldn't Walt Jr have had the same effect on Walt's psyche and self-worth without being so annoying?![]()

So when should we expect you to start getting Victoria Justice tats all over your body?I hope her career fizzles. Need to get her making straight-to-DVD B-movies.Victoria Justice doesn't annoy me.He's playing a teenager. That's what they do.I think what RN is saying though is, couldn't Walt Jr have had the same effect on Walt's psyche and self-worth without being so annoying?![]()

You have to know when you take even the smallest of shots at The Wire on this board you are going to hear about it. Dont mess with Bunny. Season 3 was great.good lord.Did we really need Bunny Colvin on The Wire? Couldn't we just throw Rawls into that role and be done with it?Bunny rules.
Oh don't get me wrong - I do too. The point I was trying to make (badly apparently - I should have just stuck w/ quinn and cooper - those were better examples anyway) was these secondary characters play a role. I think having a handicapped teenager is a big part of who Walt is and why he acts the way he acts.I just don't see how the character takes away from the show. At all, really. You have to know when you take even the smallest of shots at The Wire on this board you are going to hear about it. Dont mess with Bunny. Good example with Ziggy. He got on every last nerve, but once the downward spiral of his character was complete it was almost worth it. So many of his scenes seemed forced. The hilarity of bringing a duck into the bar (Some people might wish The Wire left out Ziggy. I could do without Herc but both do play a role.
), the "Love Child" prank, thinking he could win a fight against Andre the Giant, etc.Herc though, I gotta disagree there. He was almost always hilarious.
"One Minute" showing tonight. I don't know why that episode doesn't get more love.
It's constantly mentioned in here as a fabulous episode."One Minute" showing tonight. I don't know why that episode doesn't get more love. It's constantly mentioned in here as a fabulous episode.

With the UEFA Euro Cup during the day and Breaking Bad airing from 2-4am, I'm really glad I'm taking a break from corporate life this summer.IMO, it's the greatest episode of any show ever."One Minute" showing tonight. I don't know why that episode doesn't get more love.
Probably a ploy to get ratings at that time of night from obsessed insomniacs and DVR users. Why is their marathon at 2am?
yeah, I don't care what time it's on, I've been DVR'ing them. Besides the commercials, I can fast-forward through Hank's wife's shoplifting, Skylar's affair with her boss and a bunch of other scenes.Probably a ploy to get ratings at that time of night from obsessed insomniacs and DVR users. Why is their marathon at 2am?

on the bolded part. It's definitely on the short list.IMO, it's the greatest episode of any show ever."One Minute" showing tonight. I don't know why that episode doesn't get more love.
Fixed. Definitely a good argument for best episode of the series, but you can make the case for a couple others. (Full Measure and the pilot immediately come to mind)It's definitely on the short list along with a couple other Breaking Bad episodes.IMO, it's the greatest episode of any show ever."One Minute" showing tonight. This is the difference between The Wire and Breaking Bad IMO. I'm not skipping any scenes, even Ziggy and Herc.yeah, I don't care what time it's on, I've been DVR'ing them. I'M THE ONE THAT KNOCKS WHEN YOU NEED TO SIGN FOR A PACKAGE!I'M THE ONE WHO RINGS THE DOORBELL!
The main reason I'm fast-forwarding is because they're showing it in mini-marathons. Just don't have time to watch 3 or 4 episodes a day. If they did the same with The Wire, I'm sure there would be some sceens to jump past. Cutty trying to open up his gym, Lt. Daniel's and Rhonda's affair among others. This is the difference between The Wire and Breaking Bad IMO. If you can get by the absurd notion that killing Hank with the gun was "too easy" and that he would casually stroll back to the car - in broad daylight - to get the ax. But... rule #1 with this show is suspending disbelief. It's definitely on the short list.IMO, it's the greatest episode of any show ever."One Minute" showing tonight. I'm missing the significance of his mineral collecting. Is there something to it?"they're minerals, Marie. Not rocks."

Crystals would have been too on the nose?I saw it as a coping mechanism/therapy sort of thing. The irony/parallel of Hank collecting them when Walt is making his own brand is interesting.I'm missing the significance of his mineral collecting. And miss Lance Reddick's naked, weird, robot body? The main reason I'm fast-forwarding is because they're showing it in mini-marathons. Just don't have time to watch 3 or 4 episodes a day. That's why most people do it.Sup with Walt cutting the crust off his PB&J sammiches? Just another way of showing he's a perfectionist?
But is it perfectionism or OCD?Or maybe he just doesn't care for crust? That's why most people do it.Sup with Walt cutting the crust off his PB&J sammiches? Just another way of showing he's a perfectionist?

last night when Jesse first met Gale in the lab with his busted eye not to mention all the other funny lab scenes (Gale and Walts initial love fest + Jesse's alone time whilst waiting for Walt).Isn't that how the guy who was locked in the basement wanted them cut when Walt had him tied up down there? Is there a connection there?Sup with Walt cutting the crust off his PB&J sammiches? Just another way of showing he's a perfectionist?
Let's check with Apple Jack. He knows everything.Isn't that how the guy who was locked in the basement wanted them cut when Walt had him tied up down there? Is there a connection there?Sup with Walt cutting the crust off his PB&J sammiches? Just another way of showing he's a perfectionist?
Like when Hank has them trapped in the RV and Walt is telling Jesse what to say. Jesse HAS to add b*tch to the end of one of the lines. The look on Walts face is hilarious. After watching the replays the past few weeks (3rd time watching series) I forgot how funny this show can be. Sure the craziness and violence is what sticks with you but man, do the writers/actors bring the lols. I couldn't stoplast night when Jesse first met Gale in the lab with his busted eye not to mention all the other funny lab scenes (Gale and Walts initial love fest + Jesse's alone time whilst waiting for Walt).

one of my favorite lines.....Yeah, science! How about the hospital attendant telling him he's smoking too close to the building."Then push me another five feet ....... bitch!"Like when Hank has them trapped in the RV and Walt is telling Jesse what to say. i noticed I've been throwing in a lot of #####es and yos to complete my sentences in casual conversation ever since Jesse appeared in my 'life'.
