Breaking Bad on AMC (2 Viewers)

Breaking bad probably my favorite show ever. I think what makes Cranstons performance even more epic is the fact he had to shed his comedy dad label he wore from all those years on Malcolm in Middle

Mike is one of the better characters of the last half season....although I think that he's as much a subtle commentary on the goodness of Hank as he is is own character. I'm fairly confident that they will show Hank's real strength as a "good guy" in what I think will ( and should) be this final season.
I agree. Love the Mike character. I am guessing most of you remember him in a similar role in the movie Beverly Hills cop. He was made to play the role of a "cleaner". Glad Gilligan gave him a couple of shining moments. His story about half/full measures and then letting him go all Rambo at Chow's warehouse were 2 of my favorite scenes from season 3.
:goodposting:His half measures speech had so much wisdom in it. Most people could really benefit from watching that. Especially people considering becoming parents.

Does a TV show get any better than Season 3? I re-watched that whole season the past few weeks and was still on the edge of my seat.

So, what's the consensus about the finale? Did Jesse shoot Gale? I'm starting to have my doubts after a second viewing.

edit: just read Sepinwall's review of the finale and since he knows everything, he kindly answered my question. For fear of spoilers, my question is answered here

Gale is dead. I've never thought otherwise. I hope they don't get cute.

Season three would be my vote for best season of a show ever. I don't think they'll get cute. Gale is dead. It delivers the kind of hard-core psychological repercussions the show loves sinking its teeth into. They have no reason to avert it or trick the viewers. Breaking Bad is the ####.

You guys might want to throw some spoiler tags up there, that's a huge moment in the show.

No, I don't think he shot Gale.

 This is the thread that discusses what happens on the show right? What is the point otherwise? If somebody hasn't watched the show why would they come in here?

This is the thread that discusses what happens on the show right?
Yes. That's why we have spoiler tags. So we can discuss what happens on the show without ruining it for someone else.
DURR DURR DURR
After every episode, people discuss the events that take place on the show without spoiler tags. Unless somebody knows about something that happens down the line there is zero need. Otherwise every post would in a spoiler tag. What are people supposed to post about?Anybody who cries about about the discussion of what has happened on a show, in a thread about the show, is a moron.

It's only a spoiler if it hasn't aired yet. If you are not up to date on watching the show, might stay away from the thread.

That's what I had to do with Dexter.

The creator vince something or other said after finale he had no intention of making viewers think the shot missed gale
 Though the camera's movement right before Jesse pulls the trigger may have created the illusion that he aimed his gun elsewhere, Vince (who directed as well as wrote this one) says that was not his intention. Gale is not pining for the fjords; he is an ex-human.

Watched that again.....in just good in so many ways....from the message to the delivery.

I realize this post is a year old, but I thought I'd point out that Vince Gilligan has said there will be at least 2 more seasons and that right now he thinks that will be it for the show, but leaves the door open to changing his mind.http://collider.com/vince-gilligan-interview-breaking-bad-season-4-season-5/98548/

I'm sure there's people just now getting on board with the show that would like to share their thoughts on S01 or some earlier section of it. Have some courtesy, it's not like it's a lot of work to put the spoilertags in there.

Make a season 1 thread with that in the title. Once a show airs, it is fair game. Sorry, just the way it is.

Breaking Bad Late-Night Encores Start July 5

If you're a new Breaking Bad viewer and are wondering if you still have time to catch up on the series Newsweek calls "the best program on TV, period," the answer is simple: You do. Starting Monday night, Jul. 5 at 2AM | 1C, AMC begins a two-week late-night Breaking Bad marathon, airing all 33 episodes from the show's first three seasons at a rate of 3 to 4 episodes per night. This is what large pots of coffee and DVRs were created for.

My brother and his wife started with episode one last night. She said, "it's good but it reminded me a lot of 'weeds'".

Me:mellow:

"uh, yeah. Just wait".

You can buy them from Amazon On Demand if they're not available on demand through your cable. Looks like the first episode is free, second one costs $1.99.

Just finished the third season yesterday. Glad to see see Season 4 drops this coming Sunday. All three seasons are still fresh in my mind.

Pretty cool series so far.

some memorable scenes:

The ending of "One Minute" just intense

The The Tortuga Tortoise...

"Family is all" (Uncle tio and the twins as kids)

Mike's "no half measures" speech
All good ones. Also:Jane's death (probably my vote for most intense scene in a TV show. Branston delivered his best acting in this scene without saying a word)

Jesse on the ladder trying to swat the fly

Walt blowing up Tuco's building

Mike telling Walt to go into the lab and Walt's plan unfolding

Jesse recalling the wooden box he made in high school

The ending of One Minute and Jane's death are my two favorites. Up there with Adriana getting shot in the Sopranos, #### getting shot in the Sopranos, String getting hunted down in the Wire, Michael taking out Snoop in the Wire, and Draper giving the Carousel pitch in Mad Men as the best scenes I've seen in a TV show when considering everything that led up to them and how they were executed.
seriously?! Thanks #######, I purposefully have been avoiding the wire thread as I'm midway trough season 4zThanks a lot you ####### #####.
:goodposting: ouuu... that must sting.

Disagree on this. There definately should be layers between the Kingpin and those guys on the street, it's not a direct pipeline. Not too mention the caliber of the guys that actually were on the street working for him, in no way should they have any contact with him, they shouldn't know his face or name.
There's no "should" about it. It's the way he runs his operation.
Yep. I think someone has watched The Wire one too many times
I was under the impression that he ran his business much more cautiously. I agree with the guy who thought that the guys were there to get capped.

Damn good episode. I've gotta feeling that Walt will end up killing Jaleel White and become the new drug boss.Edit: Anyone else get a boner during the boner scene?
She is more money against a running down shot clock than is Kobe. She was cool, kept her head, didn't rush. You could tell it was not her first rodeo.
she had some serious technique. looked like she was churning butter.
Guess now we know why she has such Sticky Fingers.

I realize that i am talking to myself here... but #### y'all i dont care. :hot:

My guess is that Jessie shot Gale in the shoulder and wounded him, but didnt kill him. I expect the rest of the seen to be gritty with gale rolling around the floor bleeding and in pain while Jessie continues to spazz and be indecisive for a few more seconds, before ultimately realizing that he has to do it, so he finishes him off with a head shot.

There may be a big time flaw with Jessies get away though. Especially if he is driving that little red ####-bucket. He wont be hard to track if Mike is within 15 mins of Gales place.
