Breaking Bad on AMC (6 Viewers)

I rewatched the meeting between Walt and Jesse and I'm convinced that Jesse not only knows the Walt poisoned Brock but also that he has to kill him. The question "Still, we had to kill him right?" was about Walter.

Yep. Now it's just Boredwalk Empire
Dexter and Homeland are holding me over. BWE is good, but yeah, boring in comparison. What about this Hell on Wheels show coming in Nov? That looks interesting...
I read some comments about Hell on Wheels after AMC aired the pilot at a conference over the summer (maybe by Sepinwall and a couple of others); they unfortunately seemed to think kind of mediocre. But pilot is not always the best judge of the show.

i'm late to the BB party but i've been watching it on netflix a lot over the past few weeks. i'm in S3 with the final two episodes - "half measures" and "full measures" - to go. :popocorn:

I don't want to set your expectations too high but the next 15 episodes are some of the best in TV history. Enjoy.

Started and finished all four seasons in the past three weeks. I don't know where the heck I've been, because I swore there wasn't anything worth watching on TV anymore. Boy, was I wrong! WTH am I going to do now?!?!

Watch Boardwalk Empire?
That show may be the greatest show in the history of television, but I have some irrational hatred of that Michael Pitt guy that's on that show. Literally can't stand to look at him. I think it stems from watching Funny Games, which I hated so much I felt the need to write a five page diatribe about how horrible it was, but I don't know. Maybe it's chemical, I can't place it, but every time I see that guy I want to throw things, or punch him in the face. Literally can't watch it.

It's decent but nowhere near the quality of BB. I expected a lot more from Season 2 and thus far it's been a bit of a letdown. Then again, BB has ruined my enjoyment of tv in general because I now set the standard so high.

 Then he can watch Mad Men which is even better than BB.

Since BB is off there's nothing better than Homeland on TV right now. Not even close.

Says the guy who repeatedly posts about other shows in the Breaking Bad thread, like anyone cares about his opinion.

Hate to agree with Goggins but he's absolutely right IMO. It's Homeland and then everything else at the moment. At least with respect to dramas. There are several outstanding sitcoms airing currently, some of the best in many years.

I haven't seen Homeland yet but I would say that Boardwalk Empire is a pretty damn solid show. That's all I'm saying.

I watched the first season and I enjoyed it but my interest waned substantially toward the end, and I've got three episodes of Season 2 waiting for me on the DVR. Meanwhile, I usually can't wait to get home Monday night to watch Homeland (Sundays are for football and gluttony and nothing else). Boardwalk Empire is incredibly well done, but it just doesn't grab me the way some of the other more well-received cable dramas in recent years have, Breaking Bad being the primary example of course. I feel like I've heard the same from a lot of other folks.

This isn't remotely accurate.

Homeland is pretty good. Best new show. Dexter is always good too.

Not until the Michael Pitt character gets gunned down in a blaze of glory.

His character is one of the best on the show. This is a strange obsession.

I did mention it was irrational.

The probably with BE is that we already know how it turns out - lots of people get shot and alcohol is eventually legalized. It has some great actors - Buscemi is one of the best - but I honestly don't care what happens to the characters.

Late to the game. Started watching in August and just finished last week.

Wow. Way up at the tippy top of TV for me. Right up there with Dexter's better seasons.

The show could end right there, and I'd be happy. But I'm also happy it's got at least two more seasons budgeted.

So, should I watch Luther or Boardwalk Empire next?

I love Dexter & Breaking Bad, they are 2 of my top 5 shows ever. Boardwalk Empire didn't keep my interest through the whole 1st season. I'm going to checkout Luther.

Had never watched this or even considered watching it until last weekend. Am now done with seasons one and two. I usually can't stand TV shows past cartoon comedies (South Park, Simpsons, etc.) but this show is absolutely riveting. The writing is just flat out fantastic. Intelligent foreshadowing, complex characters, and unpredictable plot turns have to make this show the best on TV.
