I dont know. He definitely had a motive for her to not be alive.I haven't seen this episode in some time, but I saw it more as not saving her, not murdering her.Jesse eventually has to find out about Walter’s betrayals, both the poisoning of a child he loves, and the murder of a girl he loved. Jesse has shown competence before, and if he were sober, perhaps he could turn into the student who outwits his master. Nobody would blame Jesse for seeking revenge and trying to take over the empire for himself, whether he felt he could run it or not.One of Walt or jesse is going to die.

IIRC Walt rolled Jane on her back, and jostled the bed while trying to wake Jesse. But it doesn't really matter. If/when Jesses finds out there's no way of explaining it that won't end with him wanting to kill Walt.I haven't seen this episode in some time, but I saw it more as not saving her, not murdering her.Jesse eventually has to find out about Walter’s betrayals, both the poisoning of a child he loves, and the murder of a girl he loved. Maybe. It's been established that when he gets drunk, or even exhausted, he's capable of outing himself on anything. With his ego only growing and his grip on any kind of moral compass slipping, he's only going to become more of a threat to himself. Jesse is the closest thing to a hero on this show and I have a feeling that if it comes down to Walt or Jesse that Jesse will prevail. Not necessarily because he's the closest thing to a hero, but because Walt is getting more and more willing to put his head in the lion's mouth and one of these times it's going to get him. Whether it's telling Jesse what he's done, his manner in setting up new distribution relationships, another cartel tracking him down, a misstep that tips off Hank, etc.Jesse eventually has to find out about Walter’s betrayals, both the poisoning of a child he loves, and the murder of a girl he loved. Jesse - has killed, sold drugs, tried to sell drugs to a support group of addicts, cooked, was partly responsible for the death of JaneWalt - has done many bad thingsDisagree.Hank is the closest thing to a hero on this showMaybe. It's all about context. Jesse's a much more compelling character and we've seen him become more and more moral, the deeper into the #### he gets. His relationship with his conscience is as compelling as anything on the show, imo. And he wasn't responsible for the death of Jane. Jane was responsible for the death of Jane.ETA: I'm not talking John Ashcroft Let The Eagle Soar type hero. Hank - has caught bad guys, fired the fatl shot at Tuco and the worst thing he has done is to be ###### to his klepto wife
probably mostlywhen he met her, she was a recovering addict and he was a dealer. He knew he'd be trouble for her. He helped her take what was the fatal dose. He didn't actively fo anything -- but he did just let her die w/o helping.IIRC Walt rolled Jane on her back, and jostled the bed while trying to wake Jesse. But it doesn't really matter. This isn't the Zimmerman thread. Whether it meets the legal definition of murder or not is kind of irrelevant.Which is not even close to murder.
I was rewatched Ep. 3 today, and Krazy 8 didn't like the crust on the balony & cheese sammich, so Walt started cutting the crust. He adopted the practice at that point.Sup with Walt cutting the crust off his PB&J sammiches? Just another way of showing he's a perfectionist?
Ok, thanks for updatingJust wrapped up season one. Should have all four seasons knocked out within a week, maybe less.

Tough call. Seasons 1-2 of The Wire so good but didn't quite keep its pace up so I will go with the consistent Breaking Bad.So what's the verdict? You like this show or The Wire better, bud?Agreed. One episode and I was in need of my fix ever since.I've never seen a show that grabbed my interest as quickly as Breaking Bad. I also watched for the first time on Netflix and I think I hammered out four episodes the first night lol. It was so good, I wanted to keep going.Just hooked up my Roku, getting ready to start Breaking Bad from the beginning. I've never seen the show, is it good out of the gates or does it take a bit of time to get going?![]()

Similarly, I've gotten the wife into a lot of these shows too but BB was one we got into and watched together. It's my favorite show ever just ahead of The Sopranos, and it's one of her favorites. Catching up on The Wire now but she likes BB a lot better. I think it's because BB is more entertaining, and that's not meant as a knock on The Wire.In some ways, The Wire is better than anything else ever made because quality-wise there's nothing that can match the realism, acting, writing, etc all rolled into one package. But that reality of the show is what makes it so heartbreaking at times, which although it's very good, does not provide "entertainment" to some people if that makes sense.FWIW - I got my wife interested in this mostly because it's still on air... she watched a lot of season 4 with me and got into it despite not seeing anything before that. I had intended to re-watch a lot leading up to the new season (especially since I was going through chemo through most of season 2). She's watching along with me, and she's HOOKED. We blew through the first season in a night and a half, and we're halfway through season 2.... and she even took one of the iPads and watched an extra episode tonight after we were done. Now, at the same time, I have been trying to get her to watch The Wire which she wants to, but I think the fact that it's "done" gives her a sense of being able to do it whenever.... but I'm really curious to see what her reaction is. I really value her judgment and critical opinion, and curious to hear how she feels about the two especially watching them both after the fact. I've rewatched Wire several times, but this is my first time back through Breaking Bad. I got hooked after S01E05, and I'm starting to realize why... that's when it really grabs you. It's certainly more intense than The Wire, though more limited in scope. I'm starting to even appreciate Tuco - how perfect he is as a crazy, tweaker dealer. One thing I can say, without a doubt though, is that BB's cinematography and direction is better... it's simply amazing. Rewatching it all in a row only adds to the narrative... and seriously, the close angles and distinctive "under the glass" when digging on several scenes is just... awesome.Unrelated, Game of Thrones passed Mad Men in priority this last season with wifey, which I was very happy about. I even got her to listen to one of the audiobooks. She appreciates this ####... and now I just need to get her hooked on The Wire when we have downtime to get more input on which is better![]()
Because they are unedited on the DVD. But it does sound sloppy on TV.So I'm DVR'ing the show from the beginning and just watched the pilot. Why the hell would they edit out all the bad words?
why don't you read along with the thread up to what you watched. That's what I did with the Wire and am doing with Dexter.Aaaarrgh! I can't take this, I wanna read some posts but just finished the episode in season 2 where Walt gives Jessie the $480k and there's a shocker at the end..Wondering what the pink stuffed animal and the other stuff is at the beginning of some of the episodes..This. Show. Is. Awesome.
We usually watch most of the Sun night, cable type shows together... we don't watch any nextwork. Sadly, the two she never watched with me originally was The Wire and BB, and mostly about not making another commitment to a show. She wathed some of the end of the last season on BB with me, and was intrigued... and now she's HOOKED. She wanted to watch yesterday and in fact instead of anything new like True Blood. We finished blew threw the first two seasons with marathon sessions Thurs, Fri and Sat... and we're halfway into Season 3. At 1am last night my wife finally said she had to go to bed.Similarly, I've gotten the wife into a lot of these shows too but BB was one we got into and watched together.
