Breaking Bad on AMC (2 Viewers)

The thing I don't get is why Jesse's plates said "LWYRUP". It's like he's trying to tell the cops that he's a criminal or something. Just a bad mistake at the DMV?

I'll make sure to not ever do it again.

I'm on vacation and watched it with someone who had never seen the show and who was also talking to others at different parts of the show. So I was trying to watch and explain things the whole hour. When I get home with my dvr I'll never need to ask anything again. I'll just read all the experts who have been about 90% wrong on their predictions.

So, last week's episode ends with Walt calling Todd presumably to arrange a hit on Jesse using the Aryan crew. This result is also foreshadowed by the words of Marie's therapist at her recent counseling session who said, "There's no problem, no matter how difficult, or seemingly unsolvable, that violence won't make worse." Now, who dies?

I think Marie dies in the botched hit. When she returns to her house from the therapist's office, she walks into the house to see two purple suitcases illuminated by bright light and Hank urging her to get out of the house for a few days. However, Marie, who is standing in the shadows in stark contrast to the bright illuminated purple suitcases and wearing all black, declines this option and decides to stay at the house to assist Hank in bringing down Walt. The bright purple suitcases represented Marie's way out of this mess, but instead she chose to stay behind to stand by Hank's side as he relentlessly pursues Walt while ignoring Walt's thinly veiled threats. I think that choice will ultimately result in her death, which will only further send Hank over the edge possibly causing him to indisputably break bad himself.

I also think Walter Jr. may die in the botched hit attempt. Perhaps, Walt Jr. decides to swing by Uncle Hank and Aunt Marie's house after school or perhaps he is "lured" by Marie because she believes her house is a safe place. After all of Marie's discussion about how Walt's home is not a safe place for the kids, it would be truly ironic if Walt Jr. were to be murdered at Hank and Marie's home in the Aryan's botched hit attempt ordered by Walt himself.

Skylar could also potentially die in a botched hit attempt. Perhaps she swings by Hank and Marie's to try to talk them down -- or perhaps to retrieve her children -- and she is present when the Aryans try to execute the hit. Again, it would be karmic retribution for Skylar to be an unintended casualty of the Aryan hit ordered by Walt, which she herself encouraged.

Although I don't think Jesse will die in the hit attempt, there are definite signs that Jesse will die. Most notably, when Jesse is discussing the wire plan with Hank and Gomez, he is sitting behind two coffee mugs -- one of which says "DEA" and the other of which is turned sideways such that the handle of the mug forms the letter "D." I believe that this subtle foreshadowing was clearly intentional -- as the arrangement of the two mugs next to each other is too perfect to be a coincidence -- and signals that Jesse will die at some point.

These events also fall in line with the foreshadowing that we have seen in the flash forwards -- Walt purchasing an M-60 and retrieving the ricin. He will use the M-60 against the Aryans to get retribution for them killing Walt Jr. and/or other family members.

That's why it was confusing because I forgot about the door. I understood when I was watching that he was trying to deceive her. I don't even know why he bothers at this point. He might as well come clean about everything even to junior if they are in danger.

 
Hadn't seen the answer. Unless you're suggesting I did see the answer and decided to ask again... you know, just to be sure.

It's not just you and your question. It seems like every time a new episode airs there are about 3 or 4 fairly goofy questions that are posted. These questions are usually about very basic and obvious plot points that should not be hard to understand or "get" if you just watch the show. And by "watch" I mean give 90% of you attention to it. Don't do a sudoko. Don't play Candy Crush. Don't talk to your wife. Just watch the show.

If you still don't get something go to wiki and read the recap of the previous episode.

Wait, does this show take place in New Jersey? Because in New Jersey they have attendants pumping gas. That would be a major hole in Walker's story and Skylab would definitely see through that pretty quickly. Even Flynt or Jr. would too, I would guess.

 
I tell you what would be amazing. A show with the reputation and prestige of Breaking Bad faking out all the viewers.

Imagine in the finale, something crazy happened like Jesse invented a time machine and went back and killed Walt or something competely unbelievable like that.

They allow 2-3 days of complete internet breakdowns, and then announce that the episode was a joke and that the real finale will be released the following week. The ultimate prank.

jesse stands over walt's dead body after finally getting his revenge on him. Enter Badger and Skinny Pete from the right

Badger: Dude, what are we gonna now?

Jesse: We're gonna cook, yo!

Pete:... but we don't have any pseudo...

Jesse: Pseudo? Where we're going... we don't need pseudo, #####...

Jesse gets into his car and the camera pans lower to reveal that the car is a delorean. Skinny Pete and Badger exchange puzzled glances before hopping in the back seat. The Delorean then rises into the air and zooms off camera leaving a trail of fire that spells out

Doesn't Walt's car have air conditioning? Why would he need a fan in the window?
