Breaking Bad on AMC (6 Viewers)

I #### you not. I woke up last night at 3:40 or whateveer and looking on the channel guide only to see that "1 Minute" was starting in a few minutes. Which of course meant I stayed up and watched it all the way through wqithout the volume on b/c the wife was sleeping. So  this morning.

You guys and this Jesse/Brock thing is just mind numbingly stupid. He's not the kid's father. He's not related in any way. He's a known meth user/seller. He in a not so roundabout way is responsible for the mother's death. He's probably not going to live anyways, but there's a better chance of Hank coming back from the dead than there is of Jesse raising Brock, even if they both live to 90. Good lord.
not to mention the kid will be put into child protective services as soon as someone finds his mother with a bullet in her head that next morning. The Brock bit is over.

And, if Jesse had any brains at all he would recognize that the Nazis wouldn;'t be able to get to Brock anymore so he could still refuse to cook and eat a bullet like he wants to.

I'm sure DCFS would be able to keep the kid safe from the group of people that killed how many inmates, in how many different prisons, in how few seconds?

they wouldn't bother. the brock bit is over. way too much other stuff to cover.

Walt is taken into custody, but takes the ricin and dies before he goes to jail.
I disagree with just about every word of your post (nothing "needs" to happen to anybody), but this part strikes me as being a really good guess, and one that I hadn't thought of before. I could even imagine a scenario where Walt deliberately gets taken into custody in an effort to somehow exonerate Skyler and takes the ricin before turning himself in. He could go into custody, "confess" to everything in a way that reiterates Skyler's supposed innocence, and then he dies.

Not likely maybe, but that would actually kind of make sense.

I'd pay 50 to watch it tonight.
I wouldn't do $50 but I would probably do $10 or so...since i have to work Sunday night when it airs. <_<
you sound a little congested typing that...might wanna get that checked out....or at least get some rest....on Sunday
Ha, I wish! I'm on call and there's a quick scheduled activity at 9pm Sunday. No way to get out of it. Attempting to get it moved to an earlier time but it's probably hopeless. Oh well, that's what DVRs are for.

The looks on their faces when they leave are so awesome. too. Hank has that "I can't believe she got me hard" look and Marie just looks pleased with herself.

One of my favorite scenes. One Minute is probably the first episode where I genuinely say there thinking "holy #### what is about to happen?" But jesse walking towards the dealers was the next, and at that point I was fully committed to the fact that the show is completely off the chain. I talk to people that have watched a season or season and a half and say things like "man, that show is crazy" to which the only reply is "it hasn't even really started getting crazy yet."

For anyone who does not want spoilers DO NOT go to the IMDB page for this weeks episode. It seems self evident but I stumbled across it by mistake and it offers some surprises.

My friend texted me 10 minutes ago saying he is on Season 2 Episode 6 and that it is great and Pinkman such a good actor and that the directing is very very good, but that it isn't anywhere near Thrones. I told him Season2 is the weakest season, but it's about to pick up now, and that he hasn't even met 3 of the best characters yet. His reply, "Wow, ok" Dude is in for a ride!

RJ Bell is now on the "Walt takes the ricin himself" bandwagon.

65% chance Walter White dies in finale (via BOL). LOVE +170 on NO. Ricin takes days to kill. My guess: WW takes, but doesn't die on screen.
Oof.

Maybe you guys have already discussed this, but I just listed to a Simmons b.s. podcast where he poses this question to the guy he was talking to: "If AMC decided to run the Breaking Bad season finale this Friday on pay-per-view for $49.95, but still ran the finale per usual on Sunday for free, would you buy the ppv or would you wait?"

Guy he was talking to said without hesitation that he would buy it. He would be mad at himself for doing it, but he wouldn't want to risk anyone spoiling it for him before he watched it on Sunday. Simmons agreed he would too.

Don't know if I would, but I would be tempted. If I decided to wait I'd have to go on a full technological blackout until Sunday.
"the guy", ftr, was everyone's favorite: Alan Sepinwall

I wouldn't pay. I can easily afford it, but I still wouldn't.

And it is easy for a guy like Simmons, who probably makes well into six figures a year, to say that.
:lmao:
You really don't think he gets paid well by ESPN to be one of their NBA post-game analysts, as well as the occasional fill-in on PTI? Combine that with what he makes as a writer and I am sure he does really well.
I think he's laughing because Bill probably makes 7 figures.
He absolutely makes at least 3 million a year.

Missed this before. Yeah, that's why I was laughing. Easy seven figures, probably halfway to eight.
