Does anyone else have a problem with Walt calling off Todd? He has paid them all handsomely in the past. Why when he tells them to back off and not come, they head out there anyways? I really hated that part of the story. I knwo they had to show up in order to finish the season/series but it seemed cheap how they were written into that scene, doesn't seem real that they would just show up.

Also, $70M and all they bought in a year was a massage chair? They should have had a lot more toys.

Mojo posted an interesting link, I would have cheered if Sky had killed herself. She was as dirty as Walt once the table was set.

Outside of a few hiccups I don't seem to understand why people are worried about what happened after. Walt dies in the middle of the meth lab, case is wrapped up, sure Jesse may be wanted but that's another story for another time.
Actually, they said in that episode they didn't come out there to save Walt or kill DEA agents or whatever. They came out there because they knew that's where the money was. They came out there to steal 70 million dollars. Plain and simple.
this. he said it in the episode.

That's not true. Having been given coordinates he knew something was up. He didn't know it was money until Walt opened his mouth. Hank calls Walt dumb in that moment because he knew that Walt just gave away all the money he had earned for his family, for no reason, as his death was imminent.

Uh, no he didn't.

The ricin is certainly believable. It first appeared when, the beginning of season 2? Do people really think that the full run of a TV show is all written at the very beginning?

I would say that the gun is surprising, though.

I also agree with Rude (or whoever) that the ratings for LWS are a little unfair when it is airing at 11:30. It's not terrible for cable at 11:30 on a Sunday. I think that it speaks the show's overall poorness rather than losing the Breaking Bad audience specifically that night.

(MaMn: did I really see this above?)

Gilligan stated that they weren't sure who the Ricin was for? I doubt that. I mean was there even a scene with Lydia where she didn't mention tea? Or did the tea thing come later?
Let's say for the sake of argument that there was some episode earlier in the franchise in which Lydia drank tea. That wouldn't automatically mean that she had to get ricin poisoning. Lots of people have consumed food and beverages in this program. Given all the speculation/WAGs that people were throwing out there as the final season went along, I think it's fair to say that there was no inevitable ricin target.
She didn't just drink tea though. She drank a specific type of tea with Stevia. Who else in the series had that detailed of a drink order? What was Walt's go to drink? What was Hanks?
Who cares? Again, let's say that Lydia drank chamomile tea with Stevia all the time in earlier episodes. All that shows is that she's neurotic and OCD, which is part of her character.

A huge number of people were speculating that Walt was going to take the ricin himself. I think you're looking back now knowing what you know and thinking that the Lydia-ricin thing was inevitable. It wasn't.
I'm not talking about a huge number of people. I am talking about Vince Gilligan. I am stating that I think he knew the ricin was for Lydia from very early on and that stating otherwise is being disingenuous.
What would be Gilligan's purpose for lying about this?

That's pretty good...Walt does yell that he has money and thinks that can buy him and Hank out of there. The neo-nazis did not know the money was buried there, which brings me back to the point of not liking them just showing up on their own. It's possible, Todd was with them and he seemed to be the brains of the operation. Was it ever explained why this kid was so coveted by the neo-nazis? I get it, uncle jack, likely the son of his brother, seemed like he was a prodigal son to them for some reason.

They didn't show up on their own. They showed up to kill jesse in exchange for Walt cooking for them one more time.

I've always assumed that Todd and Jack are literally blood relatives. I'm sure Jack sees Todd as somebody who can eventually take on a leadership role in the organization. If you compare him to Jesse, for example, there's no questions which one has more potential as the leader of a criminal enterprise.

This must be schtick.

a) Yes, they showed up to kill Jesse and to protect their investment. Walt is a multi-million dollar cash cow. He set up an opportunity for them to kill Jesse. He calls them and obviously something is going wrong. The nazis think that he is in trouble, so they show up to protect him, or at least see what the hell is going on. What else do you really think that they have to do with their time? They were ready to drop DEA agents on the spur of the moment. It's not like they are looking to run from danger in general.

b) Todd is a blood relative, as mentioned above. He has proven that he will kill at the drop of a hat and can cook high quality meth. He brought them Walt, which turned into a great thing for them. Why should they not like him? I don't know how that makes him a prodigal son.

Seriously, is there a Podcast similar to the one mentioned above for Walking Dead for any of you guys who watch both?
never listened to any, but a quick google search turned up:

http://thewalkingdeadpodcast.com/

http://www.walkingdeadcast.com/

http://www.talkingdeadpodcast.com/

there's probably more. I doubt any provide as much insight to the show as Gilligan provided in the Breaking Bad podcasts.
What the hell is "Google"?

Dude, you gotta give this up.

Did you guys see that youtube video someone posted where Jesse Pinkman was on the Price Is Right? That was ####### awesome. Thanks you to that guy imo.

the ending was all in Walt's head, per Norm Macdonald
Someone else espoused this theory, I think maybe Fineberg and/or Sep in the above podcast. It is an interesting thought and somewhat reasonable idea in general, but totally inconsistent with anything else that BB has ever done.
that, and I would think that Gilligan would have talked about it after the finaled had aired. No reason to keep it a secret after the fact, if this theory is what he had intended. As JZ mentioned above, Norm is known for going on these twitter escapades

Unnnnnless....he's playing the long con. Maybe he makes a journal and in this journal he reveals the truth and this journal isn't uncovered until after he dies and his grandchildren are looking through his possessions to figure what is what and then BOOM Breaking Bad fever all over again in 2050. Eh?

That theory doesn't work. Jesse really is a meth slave, and Walt has no way of knowing that while he's allegedly having this little fantasy.
I assume he is trolling.
Looking at your last few posts, I thought you were trolling

Still do
Did you see the Price Is Right video? Damn shame if you didn't.

You seem very entertained by the fact that not everybody spends all day in this thread.

I'm just entertained by Aaron Paul in that video and very sad no one seems to care.
